  1. Whatever the reasons for our current situation we are staring third tier football next season firmly in the face, whether or not Ross was the best appointment we could argue about all day, he is our manager and we need to get behind him and those of our players who show the passion that he does, admittedly there's not enough of them. Until it is mathematically impossible for us to stay up I'll believe we can still do it. What we don't need is another manager binned and still being paid. We need stability and to rebuild at whatever level we are at when the season ends. If we extend the technical area could we accommodate all the people we are still paying to manage by committee [emoji57]

  2. Felt the first half was football by numbers, try not to make a mistake and get through it. Second half much better with the younger players trying to make things happen. Morgan was unlucky with his control a couple of times and Naismith was even more up for it once he had been fouled attacking the box. Lots more to do but they showed character to come back from Ayr scoring first.

  3. If I recall correctly the first Indy referendum in the 70's I think required a majority of the electorate to vote yes. I personally think that for major changes this is the only way to be sure that the actual majority votes one way or the other. I would also make voting compulsory but that's a different argument.

  4. Have been a season ticket holder of both clubs in the past (no, not simultaneously) and working in the north east the mood of my colleagues is, from the Newcastle side quiet acceptance allied with disappointment of their fate and from the Sunderland side mostly relief that it didn't happen to them. The comments from Stu D are no doubt those of the minority of knuckle draggers associated with clubs with this type of intense rivalry.
