I would normally have come up for this game, especially as it is a Friday game but as it has been forecast to snow today here and is currently my wait and see policy has been proven to be prudent however had I decided the weather was going to be safe to travel it is unfortunate to have to pay the full price but accept that as consequence of my situation.

Mine was v Stenhousemuir in 1971 I think, lost 2-1 but like others totally hooked by it all. Uncle took me as my dad didn't like football, he was a fan of the dead club!!

Apparently now that Newcastle are sponsored by Wonga they are required to give over 1000% every game......I'll get my coat.

On the subject of Scan remember a game at Ayr when he was getting some stick and a fan shouted 'Scanlan you're a clown' and he replied 'aye, but I'm getting paid for it' happy days!

Neil Peart most likely of the Rush lads given his luck!

Jinx??

I don't usually get involved in the StuD infected threads but in this case I'll ask the question, is there no professional help out there for the man?
-
are the tobes of hades lit by glittering torchlight by any chance???
-
Nonsense, three dances full of steps taken from the Charleston, one trick pony, Jay and more importantly Aliona were stunning!!
-
Can see him back at Newcastle when McLaren is sacked after the Spurs game!

Loved it, big Bond fan and Craig is the best since Connery, I think the newer stories bring more depth to the character and he is more like Fleming meant him to be. The Bourne books are my favourite and the franchise was helped by Robert Ludlum being involved in the screenplay for the first one

Indeed, the sort of thing we do well, but how many of the poppys fell off shirts during the game??
-
No, documents in the National Archive confirm, just another conspiracy theorist trying to make some cash.

Hoped for a good day and it was better than I expected could have scored at will at times now can we build on it?
-
quality description, I will use this as an adjective to describe any improbable yet highly possible event in future, I can see it in the dictionary now - StMirrenish (adj) - wtf?
-
I'll be there, my son's coming down from Aberdeen for the game as well so whatever the result looking forward to a good day.....but desperate for a win!!
-
It was indeed an away top, the home ones were traditional black and white then they added a red stripe to the arms.
-
have gone regularly to both Newcastle and Sunderland in the past (loved it when we had a red and black striped shirt made me firmly neutral down here) and still look out for their results as well as Hartlepool, just can't shake off the St Mirren addiction though!

Still have the bib, wouldn't like to risk trying it on though, but I didn't stoop to buying the barcode so that one for me. Loved the all black Kelvin Homes Matchwinner kit

I always assert to my friends down here that Gemmill's goal is the best in world cup history taking in to account the basic skills levels of the respective players. As for Beckham, I'd rather have him own the club than play for it!!

Went to the game last night, got home at quarter to one in the morning so excuse tired rambling, what happened in the first half? Having equalised I thought we'd kick on in the second half and we could have had a hatfull but again we fell apart just when it looked we'd win. I did think our attacking was only short of some finishing and that Gallagher and Shankland looked good together with Watson and Kelly pushing on but how do we keep losing soft goals??

Maybe it is living outside Scotland and not getting to as many games as I like but I couldn't not support the club. Like others I'm not happy looking at fixtures and hoping we can win this game or that game and trying to work out which ones I'll travel up for but like others have said it is the roller coaster ride that is supporting St Mirren that makes the good times so special. They are my home town club been supporting them for 44 years (despite dad supporting the dead club) and other than oblivion I can't see a reason not to, having said that I fully understand the frustrations of fellow buds suffering week in week out.

Remember a few fans in North Bank wearing very yellow Elfsborg scarves the next home game after the away tie!!

I like the forum yes it could be better but it could be a hell of a lot worse, it is easy to filter through the stuff you don't want to read and join in where you want. In the end (Stu D possibly excluded) we're all after buddies success.
