  1. A day of mixed emotions. Obviously disappointed with the result but delighted with another top six finish. All things considered we have deserved it over the season.
where the wheels have come off slightly including the Aberdeen game where we got the late, late win, I hope we do ourselves justice after the split as it kind of fizzled out last season.
well done to the manager and squad for the continued progress.

  2. Yet again we fail to capatilise and miss out on fourth. For me, we were by far the better team without really breaking them down. That’s probably the one area where we lack quality away from home. County offered nothing apart from our mistake.
penalty decision poor, surprised that Kwon was substituted as he offered fight and creativity in midfield. Scott effort looked like someone who is devoid of confidence.
as much as they have had the plaudits and been our two best players this season but, I’m sorry, Gogic and tanser had shockers tonight!

all in all I take the point as we didn’t deserve to lose the game

  3. There is no doubt that we have taken massive strides in the last couple of seasons. We do, however, seem incapable of taking the opportunities to take that next step to cement our position in the higher echelons of the league. The frustration, for me anyway, is that for all the times these opportunities have arisen it inevitably comes in a match that is winnable! Since the break  wins at pittodrie, Easter road and the Dundee games were tremendous results and then today comes……

the incident with the manager at the end is a bit of a concern too

  4. It’s hard to comprehend that first six minutes. Killed us and on a hiding to nothing from there on in.
for me the red card was inevitable and says, in my view, more about olysanyas ability as a footballer and certainly no malice in it. Again, and it’s only my opinion, he is way out of his depth.
I really thought, despite the ten men, we had a real confident spell of passing football until they scored the third. From there it was damage limitation.
On reflection the dreadful, naive start was extremely poor from us. How maeda was not carded is beyond me!

I thought Taylor played well on the ball, quite impressed with elvis and hemming was, once again, outstanding.

  5. A fantastic result today! After Wednesday we have shown some amazing character to go and get the result and performance today.
I’m sure we would all have been happy with a scrappy, backs to the wall, 1-0 win. But that today was a fantastic team performance which will give us the much needed confidence boost and belief back.
well done to all and especially the travelling fans.
wishing all my fellow Buddies a very Happy New Year 🍻

  6. Well, as good as it was to be able to attend this evening, I was left with the dreadful st Mirren of old.
killie pressed us easily in the first half and were very well organised. they were the team we were in the first ten games of the season.
what is, in my view, hard to take is lack of commitment and effort from many of our players tonight. Baccus, for example, didn’t even get his socks dirty and clearly not wanting to get injured before international duty.
Our captain, for whatever reason, has lost it all positioning, ball control, passing. The boy needs a break for his own good.
from the first whistle we didn’t look up for it.
tansers creativity has been stifled and Gogic is wasted in defence.
all in all there are no positives to take from this game and credit to the vocal away support.
back to the drawing board I’m afraid and based on current form a dramatic slide down the table looks imminent.
good to be home for a game though

  7. The pendulum has certainly swung against us in the second quarter of the season. We can’t buy a goal away from home and , if I’m not mistaken, 2 of the 4 we have scored were own goals. the confidence is certainly draining at a rate of knots!
It’s hard to see what the answer is and am concerned that we are heading into free fall after all the good early season work. I remember Ross County did similar the season we won the playoffs.
so hopefully we can get it back together again.
wishing all you good buddies a Merry Christmas 🎄

  8. A really fantastic result today with an exceptional goal! Tanser is certainly, for me, is most improved this season.
11 points from 5 games, 7 from 9 away is massive at this stage of the season. What I do like is that we are going under the radar to some degree, yes we are being praised but not to the degree of getting carried away.
Last season, in my view, we had our worst spells were when there was speculation about the manager being linked with other clubs. We have got past the Hibs speculation and kept our focus. Although Aberdeen could be on the horizon……

A great journey so far 👏🏻👏🏻

Football is becoming a pile of shite. Good goals scored suddenly cancelled for reasons  no-one in the ground knew about. Goals disallowed when even the players of the team favoured have not claimed. Genuinely think in a few years attendances will fall because people are pissed off watching games being decided by people not in the ground with no interest in the flow of the game. Also why does an obvious penalty like ours today require such a !ong check?  If the criteria is clear and obvious five minutes is a joke. All you online watchers can fuc k off but we who attend are becoming fedup.

I have to agree with you on this bud. Being of a similar age, I feel that VAR is draining everything that has fuelled football all my life. Emotion, discussion, controversy to look back on, joy of celebrating. For me it’s all gone and as for time added on…. Well 😔

Maybe I am just getting old and maybe I’m just reacting to today’s decisions but with VAR I believe football has lost so much

  10. A very good result today, all things considered, especially after we had been pegged back.
clearly showing Character when historically we’d capitulate in that situation.
the highlights showed us in a positive light although we were certainly defending too high up the pitch for their first goal. But an impressive performance and turnout from the fans 👏🏻👏🏻

three goals and an away win, what’s not to like.
as an aside, those pitches at killie and livi are getting worse. An absolute disgrace to professional football at this level!

I’m sure the Montrose manager would gladly swap players. Certainly pre-match. 😧

I often worry about our players mindset when we are classed as favourites.

Full time players with all the fitness, experience and so on we should be looking at a comfortable victory in all these league games.

Fair point bud. Although I was speaking more in general terms as opposed to the game today. Agree with your point about our mindset too 👍🏻

  12. Can’t fathom out the Carson situation. He will be a big loss as he saved us many points last season.
I do feel a little concern that harmony and team spirit played a massive part on our success. Can’t help feeling we are losing this somewhat or am I overthinking it 🤷🏼

  13. What a fantastic result, I have no idea about the game and how it evolved, but that today has totally clarified our season. We are not guaranteed top 6 mathematically but no matter what, this has been a fantastic season. Today’s result has typified that.
a big thank you to the manager for galvanising the fans and building such a great camaraderie in the team.
historically when we hit bad spells we have folded, but this season we have risen above it all and the team, manager and fans have been a credit to the club and a breath of fresh air. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

  14. Easy to blame Dunne. Yes a mistake and a, in my view, a soft foul. I didn’t see it as a clear goal scoring opportunity as he didn’t have the ball. Just my opinion but for me it was a harsh red and we were very comfortable up until then.
But to lose five in the second half is a worry and has a massive impact on Goal difference (with a trip to the other lot to come) which, I feel, could put paid to our top six aspirations.
we deserve it over the season but some big defeats could cost us unfortunately

  15. As a Saints fan of a certain age, Frank was a big part of my life as a supporter and ultimately is sad news being the first of the legendary Fergies Furies to pass.
Fondly remembered especially in those early years.
I readily admit that I hated him when he went to Sellic and vividly remember throwing darts at his football card after he scored a hat trick against in one of those 7-0 defeats!!

But he came full circle and further enhanced his legend status by once again being part of one of the happiest and momentous occasions as a fan with the victorious 1987 team.
I have been fortunate over the years to see some great players but for my own team he is up there as one of the best.
thanks for the memories Frank 🙏🏻

Just watched ref watch on sky sports and Dermot Gallagher said our second goal would be disallowed if VAR existed in Scotland ( a clear push on Ralston (Duffy))

Cue more salty tears from the easy offended

Amazing how far they will go to make excuses!

this guy lives in the town where I live, Banbury, and see him frequently at the local gym where he can be seen wearing a Celtic top!! I think that sheds some light on his perception.
    Makes it even sweeeeeter 😀
