  1. Here's a helpful little tip so you don't feel like you've wasted your time openig this thread.

If you're an avid avocado eater like me, you'll probably understand the struggle of bringing home black over ripe avo's.

When in the super market if an avocado seems ripe to the touch simply remove the 'pip'  or 'stem' from the top. If it's brown, set it down. If it's green, cash machine.

Apart from that above, not much. Just the same shite players on wages they deserve.

Wouldn't really work tho would it? You're assuming the players currently in Scotland would be happy to be part time. They wouldn't.

The part time player pool is already smaller for players with an acceptable level of talent.

We still wouldn't be able to compete with the larger clubs part time wages.

Any player from the youth system with a modicum of talent will be picked up by not only championship teams but the lower league English development squads.

The quality of football lowers, the crowds dwindle. Soon the product on show isn't even worth £5

Terrible idea. Bout time you dropped it.

Lock myself in a room with my fellow 39 Diddy Club Chairmen.

Have a Machine Gun aimed at them ready to splatter.

Let them out of room and free to go, once they all sign an agreement that will mean...

BLUE AND GREEN VERMIN CLUBS TO BE DELETED.

    40 PART TIME CLUBS

FIVE POUNDS ADMISSION FEE FOR ADULTS.

    That's aw.

    What are you talking about?

How exactly would being part time improve anything?

No doubt I'll take pelters for this as the guy's already been written off but......

On the back of last week's catastrophe, I thought Hutton did alright in that deep lying midfield role. He was pretty tidy in collecting the ball from the centre-halves in our own half then moving it on, and did provide a bit of protection to the back 4. The gaping hole between the midfield and defence wasn't as evident as last week, and they didn't have much joy through the middle.

He's not any worse than the rest of them. I don't know if that's something to be proud of but it is what it is.

It's time that supporters get a reality check . The management team that Stewart Gilmour put in place will do a great job . There was every possibility that without them we would have been relegated last year . The problem that Alex Rae and David Farell have is dealing with the last few years of different mentalities in The Club .  Alex Rae is a winner it's easy to see he's trying to instal the same mentality into the players . He's not in a position to go and buy ready made players so he has to improve what he has and he needs and deserves time to do this . Got to say if you pay your money your entitled to your opinion but football does not work as simple as people think . The games we have went behind the players heads have not went down . The Albion Rovers result was just taken as " we should have won against them " and not enough credit given to the fact that 3 of the goals were top class on a crap pitch . How about stop talking rubbish about The Manager appearing on TV . No one said nothing when Steven Thomson was still playing and criticising his own team mates on the telly ! Also about Goodwin ( I was a big fan ) being allowed to leave . Yes he's doing well at Alloa but was finished at Championship Level . If AR goes it's a cert Tony Fitzpatrick will get the job AGAIN !

    Hi Alex

  6. Nah. I'm not allowed aliases as I'm not Shull, Faraway Saint, Tedious Tom, Insaintee, Simon_Towel, Oaksoft, Groucho etc., etc.

Haha why am I getting lumped in? I was imyourgran until I got removed.

Anyway, if Craig Levein wanted a pish job it would be at hearts and not at st mirren. For what it's worth I think he'd do a good job but realistically he wouldn't be interested in coming.

Interesting reading that the main reason people want Danny gone was his signing policy, the fact is we don't know if there were loan termination fee's or contract termination fee's.

He is of course deserving of a new deal, working with one of the lowest budgets in the league and delivering 3 successful seasons in a row now.

Bringing someone new in is a massive risk that will see us relegated

  7. That's the problem with you lex, your opinions are based on f**k all. Then as soon as you're proven wrong you disappear.

You're a goose mate, you're worried more about "being right" than the future of our club. Drop the pish admit you were wrong and let's get DL a new contract.

When's the last time st mirren had so many exciting young players coming through? It's a not a coincidence, our management team is actively planning for the future.

You've been spouting the same old pish for coming onto 3 years, enoughs enough

Once we finish 7th that'll be the third record breaking season in a row.

    Suck my bum hole

  8. I appreciate people saying that appointing a new manager a risk. However, keeping Danny is a risk too.

Who's to say he won't make a similar mess in the transfer market this summer as he did last summer? If we have no wins in our opening six games and Danny's summer signings are failing by the end of August again, we're going to regret giving him a 2 year deal pretty quickly.

People also say ' we could finish 7th '. Well yeah, but we could finish 10th too.

For me progress this season was either making a concerted challenge for the top 6, which we failed in. Or more cup success, which we failed in. Granted we have survived, but survival alone wasn't enough this year.

Look at St Johnstone, their manager is in his first ever season and they lost key players in the summer. We have a similar budget. They've finished top 6, reached one semi final and one final. There's absolutely no reason why we couldn't have had a similar season, I don't think their squad is any stronger than ours.

St johnstones budget is bigger than ours. Stupid comment

  9. It shows how good a budget we actually have to work with. The amount of f**k ups in signings, pay offs and still paying wages to players who he signed then let go and we still muster together a squad with some real quality.

If he could handle his budget better he could have us a top 6 side IMHO.

Tactically he can set a team up, I like his style of play and I like what he's trying to do.

Just the man management side if things he needs to work on.

Silly comment, you have no idea what the budget is never mind how it is spent.
