  1. I also imagine Gary has no desire to return here. He did okay by all accounts in league 1, and I'm sure if Oldham don't fancy him one club at either that level or league 2 would take over his contract.

Hopefully anyway, I don't believe he's got the necessary attributes to succeed at this level.

I heard he did have a pulse, and a massive over inflated ego... What else does he need in the SPFL?

  2. I'm rather hoping we go into Season 2014/15 without Gary Harkins and Josh Magennis anywhere near a St Mirren shirt. Maybe it's just me, but with Tommy already talking about 8 new players, I don't see the need for a sand-dancer like Harkins, or a big lump of wood like Magennis.

    Opinions, opinions.

So That's why the lassies (and some of the blokes) are always on about Big Magennis..?

  3. I'd like to meet the 2 guys that people often quote.

Perhaps Mr Reliable Source & Mr Good Authority should of been the new management team ?

We'll next time something is put at the door of a 'Senior' figure at the club we'll know it's TC.....

He is our resident 'Senior' noo.....

"Tommy's Farahs beige & tan Armeeeeeee!

  4. I would like to see Harkins given another chance, think he definitely has something to offer us, he has been on fire while at Oldham with some of there fans referring to him as God down there, Tommy might be able to get more out of him than Lennon, certainly worth a go.

I see where your coming from, but hasn't everyone of his previous managers been down that path?

Maybe Tommy could get the best out of him?

Or should we think like the dog.....?

just kick some grass over that shit and run on..!

  5. New manager and coaching staff....

On the lookout to bolster a depleted squad....

Misfit mercurial on the books who done a job elsewhere.....

Bod trying desperately to flog our starlets......

Ideal opportunity for all and sundry to kiss and make up..? (I. e. Stick with local fashion/trend and blame/back-stab Danny)

Could Harkins be TC,s first signing (sort of since he,s under contract)..?

  6. You've gone from saying Directors to "senior figures" speaking to the press about Danny's time being up, go on you're obviously in the know so name names. You're talking about BoD involvement in Lee Mair playing (or not). I'm no Lee Mair fan particularly but he was playing OK before he got injured. Are you suggesting the BoD were telling Danny who to pick??Things happen in and around football clubs all the time but not everything needs a conspiracy theory.

Come on Lee Mair was playing ok before he got injured? That was two games. He was a great pro and Danny rightly identified that he was picking up a wage he couldn't,t earn. Mair decided to stay and claim a wage, then go the fan boys fighting his cause to get picked, along with certain Bod members.

He got picked and surprise, surprise he,s injured and lacking form. But that,s Danny,s fault, the briefings against him start by senior figures (given the only senior figures are a Bod members) known to all.

Why do I need to name names? Because they haven,t got the guts to admit this to the support and Danny himself..!

There's no conspiracy theory.... It's fact!

Results were poor, Danny got pushed, that's business.

But the cowardly shit stirrers have tried to insult our intelligence by dressing up otherwise.

  7. What a crock of shite!!

What that senior figures at the cub were briefing journalists that he was gone months ago?

That Lee Mair was past it, injury prone and unable to play consistently at this level anymore and should have gone last summer when Danny said he could?

Or have you no argument to reject these facts?

Some People have short memories, but we aren,t all daft and gullible.

  8. The fans got a chance to say goodbye on Saturday.

At the end of the game Danny got a warm round of applause from the home support and waved farewell.

The Hearts fans regularly chanted Gary Locke's name throughout the game on Saturday. The home fans had 90 minutes plus after the game to muster a chorus in support of Danny Lennon and did not. I think that tells it;s own story.

Personally I backed Danny to the hilt apart from two wobbles, the first after the Partick Thistle game last September which was towards the end of the horrendous opening run of form and the second time was after the St.Johnstone home defeat in the run in, again at the end of a horrible run of form.

I will always be thankful to him for winning us the league cup, and the stats also don't lie, two 8th placed finishes were decent.

The emergence of McGinn, McLean, Naismith & Kelly was also great and was one of the big plus points for me of Danny over Gus.

The second was the style of football we played. I felt especially two seasons ago we were an absolute joy to watch at times. That was the close season of Teale, Thompson, Tesselaar, Hasselbaink and co. We looked fabulous until we eventually ran out of steam.

For me we never really re-captured that momentum or style. We were good to watch at times, but I always felt last season especially that Danny worried more about combating the opposition strengths than trying to capitalise on our own.

The "new" management team must be given a chance and treated as a new team. They surely deserve that.

FWIW I think the communication in general from the club over the past 2 years has been fairly shocking, long periods of silence don't do much good for morale and I think the board could do much much better in that regard. When was the last time we had a proper good Q&A session for example.

If the Bod backed Danny so we'll why we're they telling journalists months ago he had a game to he then he was out?

The shit stirring about his future, the pathetic fan boy and Bod behaviour regarding Lee Mair who was past it, but wouldn't,t accept it stink...

Isn,t there a man among them who could have told Danny to his face?

The only reason Mair got back in the side was because of Bod shit stirring, then they had to eat humble pie when he was dropped through injury/form and they the BOD were cock-a-hoop when they could off load him to Thistle after realising the manager was right to drop him and tell him he could go.

At least Danny was open and honest with Mair early doors... The same cannot be said about how the Bod dealt with Danny.

Watch yir back Tam they,ll soon have the knives oot again.

  9. Watch yir back Tam..!

Remember how they told the media Danny was Toast months ago.....

    Professional,forward thinking.... My arse.

Their doing a better job of punting Kenny McLean than his agent has done to date.

    Facts are,

Danny went after a long campaign of shit stirring by the people that should have backed him, or been open and honest with him Alone.

A wage has been saved by promoting Tommy and making Goody and Tealy player coaches.

I dare say Tommy is on less than Danny was, Goody and Tealy would either have had new contract offers, or been replaced in the squad anyway so the saving is less money for Tommy, no assistant manager, and a reduced wages budget fir Tommy to work with.

Read the piece on the BBC website from our chairman, there ain't no money being spent, we must develop through the youth set up. No problem with that but for FFS chairman you make yourself look daft trying to sell us this isn,t the Cheap Option...

Question is what will the Bod do next ends of season if the new incumbents don,t generate the cup income and league place payouts that Danny did???

Tell the media yet again that another guy is toast, while publicly saying you support him?

This is what gets me, yeah Danny didn,t deliver a better level of results and performances. But he did deliver a higher income than has been achieved recently... So why brief against him, then fail to renew his contract if you aren,t looking to go cheap?

They did the Sam e with Gus, only difference was he told them to stick it when they offered him a reduced wage and budget.
