Ok.
Just been at a funeral
Had a beer or so.
But the post above and its sentiments are all I'd want from any wish-list.
Thanks, Balmullo Bud.
I believe St Mirren will have a future due to Buddies like yersel.
And most of the other nutters on here. My condolences Bud.

Sorry to digress from Kylie's videos, which I reluctantly watched and greatly appreciated for their artistic merits.
My best pressie this year will be at SMP on Boxing Day when I see my kids' faces gazing at their new brick (got email today to say it's up and they've no idea about it).
Whenever we make the trek through for a game, as soon as I park they always want to head for the Wall of Fame to see "Great Grandad's Brick". Their names will be the fourth generation up there now and I reckon they'll go nuts when they see it.
It's a nice wee link between their great grandad, who they never met and the Paisley/St Mirren roots from my branch of the family, considering they're born and bred Fifers with no family left in Paisley.
If my dad and I are going to suffer, then so are they.

Well done the young Saints. Always sweet to put one over that mob, even if they've only been going a few seasons. Good luck in the next round.
-
Well done Alex Rae and the players. Happy days!!!!
-
Slightly disappointed by this appointment, but obviously wish Alex the best of luck.
The most important thing is him getting the respect of the players, especially the older ones. They were not playing for Murray, possibly due to his arrogance paired with his ludicrous tactics.
The players have been shocking this season, due to zero confidence and not playing for the stripes.
Hopefully Rae will get the players performing, whether it's building their confidence or a massive rocket up their backsides. His tactics and formations can't be worse than Murray's(touch wood).
He's our manager, whatever any of us think about him or the BoDs selection process and he needs to be given time and our support. Fingers crossed.

Just back too. Thought it was brilliant. Should appeal to people of the generation that bought Star Wars figures in Variety Stores back in the early 80's.
Some of the old magic back, if you were into it all the first time round and much better than the last three offerings.

NoWell it doesn't look very likely, does it?

Wasn't at the game yesterday, so don't know the full extent of the abuse levelled at Murray. In my opinion, calling him an f***ing c*** is totally out of line and unacceptable in any walk of life, but chants of, "get tae fukc" and ,"you don't know what you're doing", has to be expected from passionate Saints fans. The fans had to make their point and that's the way football crowds do it all over the country.
I'm sure the majority of refs and linesmen have experienced the same, if not worse.
My son and I froze our nuts off at Kirkcaldy a couple of weeks ago and Murray's post match comments directed at the fans spelled his end. That aside, he clearly wasn't cut out for the job.
My estimation of Murray has risen significantly though, in the fact that he resigned, rather than holding us to ransom like Tommy Craig. He's recovered a bit of dignity and it could give him a slightly better prospect of getting another job in football. The BoD should be grateful to Murray for that at least.
It is a bad time to lose your job, but hopefully he'll enjoy more time with his family over Christmas and kick on in his next career. I'm not sure it will be as a full-time football manager.

Would be a good shout if we could get him, but still think it would be a big if.Lives near the training ground, not short of a bob to two, out a job and prolly bored out his tits watching jezza Kyle, bargain hunt, posh pawn etc so don't really see why he wouldn't accept...

What is Billy Davies' situation? He's been without a club for a wee while now. I know he's a relatively proven English Championship manager, beyond our budget, but would he consider a stint with us until the end of the season(to keep his hand in)? He's been spotted a few times at SMP this season.
-
Thank you Ian Murray, for doing the right thing.
-
He's too arrogant to resign. An utter disgrace of a manager.it has just come to my notice that Danny Lennon resigned from Alloa this week.
Surely our results and performances have been, relatively, worse.
I know it is not quite the same but Danny walked, Iain Murray should do t he honourable thing now.
And,if Alex Miller was going to make any difference,he would have done so by now.

Just read his interview in the Record. To hear someone talk so positively about Saints reminds me of Thommo when he arrived. I'm genuinely excited about this, but knowing us it won't happen, so I won't build up my hopes.
His arrival could be a massive bright spot in a very dark season so far. 31, looked after himself and played regularly, scoring goals. Fingers crossed.
-
Sympathy for Danny and would always wish him the best, but let's hope for our sakes that Alloa don't find an excellent replacement.
-
I am very concerned at what Murray would do with any "talent"
Right start off Thommo is finished as is Gow. Get a statue of Thommo and thanks for the memories. Shankland and McMullen get shot.
holding midfielder ala Dave Mackay , must be one somewhere .
Need a striker with young Callum, where is Jon Daley?
Raith and then taking a coaching role with Hearts u20's next month. Think he's hanging up his boots due to injuries.

Yet another interview from Murray where you get the impression that he doesn't care nearly as much as we all do about St Mirren.
He should be stating that he's putting pressure on himself to achieve better targets than where we are now, because it's unacceptable. He should be stating that he is at least thinking to the future on how he might improve the side or squad, whether there's a budget or not. He's talking about a tight budget; how does it compare to Dumbartons? He should be stating that he completely understands why the fans are unhappy and more to the point, worried. He could learn a lot from Danny Lennon about engaging with fans.
Good managers know that getting or keeping the fans on their side is a must. His Raith post match interview says it all. It confirmed his naivety, as much as his arrogance. He's at least savvy enough to know to say nice things about his bosses in his latest interview.
Unfortunately the BoD are stuck between a rock and a hard place with Murray, due to finances and a 2 year contract. I'm sure, with hindsight, they are as gutted as us that they appointed him. The only way Murray will get the fans back on side is if we go on an impressive winning run, but even with some 'easier' fixtures coming up, I can't see it. Depressing set of affairs.
-
If there is I would like to see an apology to the fans for the performance, rather than having a dig at them. What are the chances? Will there be an interview with IM?
-
Is this the final nail Buds? We can but hope that this will be the silver lining from this horror show today.
-
Are you we allowed to boo that utterly disgraceful 1st half performance Mr Murray? You don't know what you are doing. Have some dignity and call it a day. It's the least you owe us.
-
It's just carrying on from Tuesday night. We simply can't pass a football to a team mate. Shocking.
-
Good luck to all the Buds braving the Orc's lair today. Hope you witness something special.
Head says 3-0 to the spawn of the cheats, heart says 2-1 us, with a late Thommo pen to exorcise his demons. COYS!

Was right in line with Mallan's free kick, what a peach. The only bright spot in a shocking game of football. We were absolutely honking, with next to no football getting played. Thought Raith looked as sh*te as us in the second half.
How many times did we punt it aimlessly to nobody, players wanting rid of the ball, even when they had time to pick a pass?
The confidence is rock bottom. Murray still shuffles about like a fart in a trance. Me and my wee lad had a great bounce when Mallan's superb goal went in, but ironically it could have bought Murray a bit more time.
Mixed emotions tonight.
Starks Park steak pie is worth a mention, very tasty.

Doesn't matter a shite if their goal was offside. That was a shocking display. He has to go. We are terrible. The team are absolutely lost out there. It's the same every week. Murray will not come fukcin good. He's clueless and has no passion.

Bye bye Murray.
