  1. Disappointing statement from the club. Cannot blame Kyle for wanting to better himself and make more money. Had every right to turn down new contract. He’s a professional and can not afford sentimentality to govern his career. If l was in his shoes l would be swapping scrapping at the bottom for scrapping at the top, better wages and a manager he knows will make him a better player and help potentially move to even better things. He might be our captain but a quick look around the club these past few years would not fill you with hope for the future. Best of luck Kyle and to the board up your game and your PR

  2. A lot of fair points made last two pages. Defence has become very leaky especially at set pieces. We should not have let Baird go. We are not blessed with excellent strike force but it would make a difference if they got some decent service. Erhahon has been a delight last few games. Cammy needs more game time. 4-2-3-1 seems a good shout. McAllister as always is a disappointment and doesn’t even do it as a late impact substitute. If we could settle in a set up l think we can easily avoid Bolton three and battle for seventh but like yesterday we need to convert chances when on top otherwise we face more misery

  3. Was impressed by tv production before kickoff, picture quality good but commentary is muffled. You would think there would be some technical backup to sort that or notice it. Also my link crashed though my internet was fine, took me 15 minutes to get back on to game. Could log in again but wouldn’t let me view game. Missed goal . Not sure how others are faring with access

  4. Best combination of home and away strips for years. Presume there will also be the option for the players anyway of white shorts for clashes with other teams. We saw in the last couple of seasons the team change short colours. Which to buy? Home or away? Mind you as things stand l might not get the chance to wear either in a fives game

  5. Have not really been following threads last few weeks. Understand st mirren is a business just like any other and has to put a business head on, but this is also sport and we will eventually emerge form this worldwide crisis and enter a new, changed world. I still maintain that by all means sell season tickets etc but l want to see this season finished even if it is in the autumn. Result it take short break and then play truncated 22 game season. Old firm would still get their four games two for this season and two for next. Does cause a problem for value of season tickets but l cannot abide the idea of teams being relegated just because of where they are and Falkirk would also lose out and we would never hear the end of Celtic nine in a row being tainted

  6. Comparison with other diseases is irrelevant. TB, whooping cough, measles, HIV kill thousands worldwide. However, they are preventable through vaccination etc. We are facing a virus here which will not kill me, but could easily kill my daughter due to her medical history and dozens of other relatives just through exposure to it. The actual numbers that may die are spurious as they are based on computer models and limited accurate data. The rise in deaths across Europe attributed to this virus have to be taken seriously. However it is a nonsense for our government to delay a major lockdown yet consider lengthy and protracted school closures later which with other possible actions could knock outs and the global economy back decades. It is incredible that l will walk into a school tomorrow and mix with over 1500 youngsters having already seen three people sent home to self isolate on Friday. Why are we still open? Only because no one was tested and as a result we don't know. Football can wait until we have a better idea of what is happening

  7. Not a great game of football but a magnificent effort from whole team throughout. Hearts created virtually nothing all night and makeshift defence dealt with it. Obika was a handful and took goal well. Hint of use of arm? Will take a bit of luck if so. The three injuries are worrying. Goodwin suggested two could be long term so could affect run in as we have limited options. A lot of football left this season but we are good enough, just to avoid bottom two places. Can see Ross county ending up with hearts or Hamilton in bottom two. More of the attitude displayed tonight will see us stay up

  8. I do believe and agree there is very little separating the bottom seven clubs at the moment. However, we have scored the fewest goals in the league but more importantly st Johnstone and Hamilton have been able to create a system over the years to keep them consistently in the top tier. Similarly Livingston have again defied what many would consider to be serious odds against doing so well. It's not just been down to managers they have had this relative success, they have set ups that deliver above and beyond what they should. Moving forward we need to address and consider why these teams in recent years have been able to do this while we struggle

  9. We give the ball away cheaply too often, we lack quality up front. Pedestrian play allows opposition to get back in numbers. Too many errors when in good positions, bizarre substitutions and more concerned with not losing. Apart from that a good point won. Unfortunately hearts and Hamilton are doing what we fail to do so often and dig out crucial victories. This season is going to a close call attempting to avoid bottom two places. On the plus side possibly have chance to overtake Ross county next week and possibly some distance from bottom two but the number of goals we score tells its own story
