  1. Thought JDH was his tidy self, McGrath arguably and understandably a bid jaded on reflection, however with another week under their belts this should make us stronger.

    Quaner hopefully the secret weapon!!

No doubt that JDH and McGrath were not up to speed last week, but they’ll be fine for Saturday.

If JDH is playing for a move, or improved contract, I’d expect him to be showing his full skill set this weekend.
Same for McGrath - Ibrox is a great opportunity to put your tin the window.
Love to see them both with us for another couple of season, but ....

Still going for 3-0 home win, but you never know. Never ....
  2. I think it'll be more that other teams won't win as I can see us getting nowt from out two games.
That doesn't detract from the fact we are where we are because of the WHOLE season, something I've always said is the real assessment of our progress.
Our results recently haven't been "dreadful" but our performances have been, IMO.

Tend to agree. I don’t fancy our chances if we’re needing a win over Accies in the last match.
Keeping my fingers crossed that Hibs do is a turn on Saturday - would be about time - and that Celtic and Dons find their shooting boots against United.
  3. Could we pull off another miracle result?

If Ranger play as poorly as they did tonight then perhaps.
However, given the Fakes late equaliser against Accies I suspect JG will set us up to defend in the hope we can snatch a goalless draw or low scoring defeat in order to preserve the slim GD advantage we have over them.

I can understand the reasoning but personally I’d rather we set up to have a go and try to win.
I’ll trust JG to get it right, again, but won’t be watching.

3-0 to Rangers with us having only a couple of attempts and nothing on target.
  4. I would love to see big Quamer, the team looks tired, the injuries and frequency of the games clearly taking its toll. County will be fresh and hungry, really believe we’ve got a far better team though, draw or narrow win for saints!!

County may be fresh and confident after beating Celtic, but we should have enough left in the tank to beat them.

McGrath and JDH will both be much better after their midweek comeback and I think Durmus and Connolly will cause their defence all sorts of problems.
Quaner to come off the bench and score.

2-0 home win (Durmus and Quaner)
  5. Yes, but in typical Saints fashion we blew it against teams who were struggling.

The struggling teams may well be over performing precisely because they’ve been struggling.

We have done exactly the same thing in he last few seasons.

Tonight’s performance was very poor, no denying that, however, perhaps that’s also because Well had raised their game from very poor performances in recent weeks.

So, we move on to County on Saturday, and hopefully Quaner will make a scoring debut !

    COYS !!
  6. Its been a tough february this has been our 7th game in this month,
injuries and lack of strength and depth in our squad has left
    us exposed.

Agree, but as someone posted earlier, it would have been better to play more adventurous, attacking football and gone for wins - two wins and four losses would have been better than our current return.

Of course we could still beat County on Sat...
  7. 2 hours of my life I'll never get back. Absolutely awful. Our forward play was horrendous. Midfield was non existent. Cant think of anything good to say about this game. Woeful.

It was a real sore watch. Dreadful.

Certainly not entertaining, or entertainment of any sort. Genuinely think I’ve been robbed of £12.50 !

The sad thing is I will still pay for the County match this weekend in the (vain) hope that our performance will be vastly improved.

  8. I'd be surprised, if Goodwin would risk them if they weren't 100% fit.
It's one of the subjects he's been quite vocal about, with regards to the risk of playing players that aren't match fit.
    A very pleasant surprise though.
Wily old dog that JG is.

I hope you’re right. I’m just concerned we’re bringing them back too soon.

Anyway, too late to worry about that now - they’re starting in 20mins.

    COYS !!
