I will tell you what i know.
Management were impressed with what they saw and signed Stelios.A two footed player who can play in numerous positions.Whoosh major scoop. Can we cut Gary some slack and let him play in his natural position and then judge him.We are in this together lads and lassies.Players.management and fans alike all with one goal and thats staying up.Come on we can do this together. We Are St Mirren and big Jason sent me a message saying we are staying up.Once a Buddie always a Buddie..
can we create a system for double likes

Do you think it is possible for any tennis player to swap hands with the racket during points?
Because that is the only way your analogy could possibly make sense.
have seen players change hands loads of times playing badminton , but have to say it didn,t really work for them , it was just a sort of party trick , a bit like keepy uppy
-
what will work in our favour is , we will have a pretty decent idea of how Dundee will be set up and where their goalscoring threat lies , don,t know if Dundee will be able to work out where our goalscoring threat will come from , hopefully it might help
-
Great to know this , as it gives us something to benchmark Jack Ross,s transfer window against
-
Noticed a couple of the deals were with one year options , I also think to a certain extent Jack Ross is thinking about next season , and choosing guys that have a lot of running in them , and who can play a couple of positions
-
Cypriot Clubs have done okay in Europe , so the standard in their top league must be better that the second tier in Scotland , hoping he,s the guy we,ve had a look at for a week and that he,s able to slot into the team tomorrow
-
Barnsley have a good record of scouting young players , developing them and selling them on , I,m wondering if Barnsleys interest in Mallan may have alerted other clubs to his availability , and Barnsley may want to do business sooner rather than later in case they get gazumpted

It's a meaningless cup game only important for getting the team shape and new signings up to fitness
I would like us to put a team out that would have a chance , for that to happen we need a left back
-
Think we might need a couple more outfield players in so we can manage to put out a decent starting eleven on Saturday , I,m a bit concerned about putting out players who are on the verge of a transfer , as they might wary of picking up an injury

Stefan McCluskey has signed for Alloa.
Wonder if Jack Ross gave Goody a wee tip off

Exactly. You get the impression if we signed Messi, there would be some saints fans moaning that he was past it.
too wee , not really good enough
-
He,s a decent left back that charges up and down the wing and puts s good cross over , started off with Celtic , on the wee side and a terrific left back according to an Alloa fan I meet most mornings , Alloa have a small squad and a deal where they lose a player and gain two til the end of the season and a little cash might suit them
-
Well no one can accuse GLS of not giving Jack Ross the opportunity to bring in his own players , I wonder if we will end up putting a couple of players on loan to Alloa in return for Calum Waters

Haven't checked but refuse to believe his win rate in the second tier was better than either Gus or Hendrie's.I checked it div , edinbuddie is correct , he was the best win percentage since 83 , but he is comparing wins in the second tier against wins in the top tier . using the same comparison Ally McCoist was the best Rangers manager ever
-
Did Alex Rae say the his win rate was St Mirrens highest since 1983 ?
Conveniently forgetting our win rate during our promotion seasons
-
I think McGinns career will improve , and he will play in the English Premiership , but it may take two transfers for him yo get there, and I think when hibs sell him on , they will ensure sell on clauses are contained in the deal .

Disappointing to hear lots of talk banded about that only players, board etc should know about.Private conversations with individuals should be kept that way until the deals are finalised as it can be unsettling for all involved and we dont require any side issues at the moment. Its fair to say though that everybody and their granny knows that at least one player is moving on this week.I would like to wish him all the best.Great family and St Mirren through and through.
I appreciate what your saying , but I quite like reading the rumour mill , and totally agree with the good luck bit

A cheeky rumour is we have accepted a cash offer and he will be away this week.
If that's the case our options for Dundee on Saturday will be limited , wonder if its worth trying Morgan at left back

I think Barnsley would only have that deal with the club they contracted with. Future signing clubs wouldn't be party to that contract condition and wouldn't be bound by it.
So in this case Everton would have to cough up but City wont have to pay anything to Barnsley - only Everton (if they have put a similar clause in for themselves)
See what you mean
I wonder if there are any examples of a player being sold ( with sell on clauses ) and then being sold again with sell on clauses , with the original selling team , still getting a slice of the transfer fee ?

Barnsley sold Stones to Everton who sold him on to City.Barnsley only got one sell on fee.
I actually thought Barnsley got £7million from the deal ( %15 of any future transfer fee )

Hibs might sell him for 99k.
they might , but they would be very foolish

In McGinns case , the more I think about it , if for example McGinn is sold for £2million and Hibs insist on an additional %10 of the sell on fee , then we would be entitled to the to %3.3 of a future sell on fee
To clarify , as well as the %33 of that McGinn is sold on for , if Hibs put in a sell on clause into the price , then I think we should be entitled of %33 of that

Unless McGinn let's his current contract run out and we get nothing.
I think we were due %50 of Paul Lamberts future transfer fee when he left Motherwell , only no British clubs were interested in signing him , so you have a point Ethan , better not count our chickens
