The game on October 8th against Hobs goes ahead. Ticket prices shown on Hobs Website £12 and £6 for concessions. McGinn with the Scotland squad. We gave a chance but a tough game beckons.

One more narrow loss I am afraid. Just before this dolly bird comes in, takes over and oor wee club fly!
Do you think the player's will realise why the gaffer is in a stinking mood every fourth week?
Needlessly sexist comment. Ability is what matters.

Better than at 17.05 I guess.
Crowd 5,351 + Santa bringing a hat trick for a Saints Striker in an exciting 3-3 Draw.

I am perhaps biased because I've been working on this with the club, but I think this is an important project.
Firstly this is primarily the vehicle for the club communicating with the fans. There will be a couple of immediate improvements in this area including regular updates from the Chairman on what's been happening in and around the club and a suggestion wall where fans can post and vote on ideas etc....
Secondly, and this won't be covered in this initial phase, the club is looking to increase revenue by virtue of making it easier to spend money on club services by doing a lot more business online. More revenue means more for the playing budget at the end of the day.
A lot of work has gone into this from a lot of different areas right back to a study done on the current official website by UWS students a year or so ago.
Hopefully the first phase will be well received but there's lots more to come on this.
Makes sense to me and the new format/layout is more friendly to phones and hand held devices.
Please include booking parking at the stadium as an online facility.

Yep good point if there's going to be offices within the stadium then coffee shop perhaps underneath the offices would make perfect sense , doing take aways would also make sense given the number of industrial estates nearby I'm positive it would be a profitable venture
I'm sure a lot of fans would utilise on match day aswell , I know personally as I travel through from the east I would much rather give my money to St. Mirren than a another cafe/restaurant in the city centre
Another idea ( they have this inside one of the stand in Livingston ) is incorporating a gym /fitness centre into one of the stands perhaps with a discounted membership rate for supporters ? In sure a lot of fans and non fans would take this upMatch Day
Coffee Shop
I travel from Perthshire to games and presently stop off for lunch at Cumbernaul. Were there lunch/coffee facilities at the ground, then I would use them.
Parking
Make it possible to book your space ahead of arrival via your phone etc. I have, like others found it harder to be admitted to the car park.
Now - with two bad hips. This does not make it easy even if I ignore the No Parking signs.
Tannoy System
Whilst I find it adequate (I now sit in the West Stand) many seem to feel it needs attention.
Non Match Days
Having visited Falkirk and St Jonhnstone stadiums away from match days I have been able to have a coffee, snack or lunch there. Decent quality, decent prices, well used.
This could mean that the existing guest lounge could be provide these on non-match days.
Looking at a community model?
Look no further than the very popular Tee Room (Get it?) at Dunning Course.
Fitness Centre
I guess there is one at Ralston.
Maybe this could be made available to the public.

Could also have a stock car track.
Side benefit could be that we could narrow the pitch.
More seriously - I am a traditionalist when it comes to the grass / plastic issue.
But
If the Business / Community Case was strong?
I would have to think again.

Is the Hibs game on 8 October going ahead?
-
Is anyone able to start a thread on upcoming games other than Schull?
(Only joking)
Tough game this one.
A win by 1 goal woud do me!

Really ? you must have very low expectations.
Two very bad sides who struggled with the basics of the game. Passing to your own player, being able to head a ball forward rather than straight up and being able to trap a ball are the very least i would expect to see happen on a pitch for my £20
None of these attributes were on show much today.
Perhaps I have Callum. But goals aplenty. Some great, some not.

What a game! Very glad I was there. We came out with no points but to be honest, I would pay happily pay to watch this type of football and give credit to the players for putting in lots of energy and bring fully committed.

S Tricky sitting always on a fence.
This particular fence doesn't feel at all comfortable.
Oh go on then -- a 3-3 draw.
-
Truthfully. I don't mind experimenting with times to see which might work best although my choice would be either a Friday evening or the traditional 3pm Saturday.
I will be at the game but really cannot make a prediction on the final scores with any confidence for either side.
Naturally as a Saints Fan for 42 years,I hope the result will go our way (but I was brought up in Dunfermline Toun many, many years ago).

Faraway I hadn't realised the other thread. Not sure it's that big a deal mind you. Enjoy the game tomorrow
2 hours ago, faraway saint said:You really can't see that having 4 threads on the same subject is rather unnecessary?
FFS!
Simple really --- I just cannot see what the problem is, despite agreeing with Norrie, that he, like perhaps myself and others just did not notice.
Howver - if it floats your boat to check these things out, police them and point them out then I do still wish you well.

Four Threads now
I fail to understand the point of this type of comment. Maybe I am a bit simple and many might agree that I am bur surely the point of a forum is that as many people as possible post and on any topics they might feel are relevant. Then again, I might have things completely wrong.

Bit of work to be done on that, we are on it and planning though.
Glad to hear that. I know that my sons and I plus my grandson will be interested in the outcome.
We do look on it as an investment, abeit not one from which anyone should expect to make money but rather a social investment with clearly set out outcomes.
Thats what we will be investing in, if we do.

They beat Dundee united in the league cup so will be otherwise engaged on that day
A passing and probably unwelcome post for many but well Done Morton.
Well done Morton but I was looking forward to the day out.

Email [email protected] to ask questions or come along and have a chat with us. Meanwhile have a look round the website www.smisa.net
Thanks for the offer. What I am looking for however is a plan to be put forward to all supporters, whether inside or outside the present scheme.
A great opportunity to involve all fans.

I am on this site because I am a St Mirren Fan. My two sons and grandson also support the team. So far none of us has signed up for the fan buy out.
I would welcome details of any proposed 5 to 110 year plan for the club which sets out the purpose, vision and objectives.
This may encourage us and perhaps others to sign up.
-
They have been difficult to get hold off for many years. Caused over the years by various factions within the board seeking to hoover up any that came on the market.
I too would't mind holding some shares in my own name, for each of my two sons and for my grandson.
If any fans out there want to sell shares they own, then drop me a private line on here.

That's nice but you only have to read this forum, and even worse the embarrassing Facebook page associated with St Mirren, to see that there's an element that are a crowd of utter f**kwits.
David mentioned the lack of action by the police at yesterdays match, showing the difficulty in removing this element from the so called "support".
Unfortunately a small minority are bringing this sort of shite to the surface and it'll be seen/heard by others who will see it as acceptable.
It's always been in our support, mostly staying just under the radar, but there nonetheless.
This, among other issues, could easily be another factor in our dwindling support.
What sort of father/mother would encourage their son/daughter to attend an event where this sort of behaviour is being spouted by imbeciles?
Very sensible post

This is a very strange season. But for an own goal (rebound) at Dunfermline we would have drawn 5 out of 8 games in the league. In other words ...we would have been unbeaten in 5 out of 8. We have been unbeaten in 4 out of 8. Wins make a great difference in this league with 3 points for a win.
I have personally really enjoyed the last two games. The players have given 100% in effort and tactical changes have been astute.
I realise that nor everyone will agree with this but I have renewed enthusiasm.
