  1. The 'get in amongst them' approach is clearly going to be what we're about next season. You can imagine Smith and Reilly being sent out to hound defences. I know little about Stewart but someone on PB confirmed he was pretty mobile for a guy of his height.
Still need Loy (or similar). I really hope he comes.

I agree, I think Loy was very good for us in the time we had him, he worked very hard and scored some very important goals to keep us up.
  2. My scenario much more simple (or so it may appear), chase up my 12 year old daughter to get ready on time take the same route along Glasgow road, turn down Greenhill Road, turn right and park in my 'lucky spot' under the railway bridge on Murray Street.

Sad I know but hey it works for me!!

  3. This is just horrible, when I read this first thing this morning my first thoughts were that this heinous terrorist attack was 'designed' for teenagers and children.

I have a 12 year old girl, who knows if this concert had been in Glasgow she may very well have been there.

I know this is what they (the terrorists) want but I am genuinely scared for the future.

  4. Fantastic news. From OS
St Mirren Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Cammy Smith on a two-year deal.
The forward joined the Saints on loan from Aberdeen in January and impressed, playing 17 times and scoring twice.
Cammy becomes the latest player to pen a new deal as he makes the move to the Buddies permanently.

Over the last six months I played every week and I just liked everything about it really," he told
    stmirren.com

"The manager and coaching staff were a massive aspect of me coming back here and the potential we have next season to really push.

"Game time is massive at this stage of my career. I still feel I'm quite young but I feel now at a stage where I need to play every week.

"We know it is a tough league, but it's an enjoyable one as well so I'm looking forward to it."

This is just getting better and better, now for Stelios???
  5. Hopefully not St Mirren, better keepers around

Bit harsh that, I thought the boy did ok for us, yes some mistakes, but he is a young boy that was thrown into a really pressurised situation from the off and I'm sure he'll be all the better for that 4 months he had with us!!
  6. Can't blame the boy for wanting to move on and progress his career and to make a bit more cash too. He has been immense the last four months and I really agree with previous poster as without his performances we'd likely be in a different league next season. Very best of luck young man!!

  7. I am sure the board and management team will not start next season like the last regardless if we lose 3 or 4 1st team players (due to transfers), I do agree with previous poster that Dundee Utd will be in big trouble if they don't negotiate the playoffs, which could benefit us big time.

If JR can sign the caliber of players that he has signed to date I see no reason why we can't make the playoffs, it's a tough league after all.

  8. Fair play for the kind words, very classy and good luck to you guys next season, I knew it was going to be a very tough game yesterday and boy oh boy I wasn't wrong!!

I mentioned on another thread the puzzled look of the hibs fans near us in your main stand and the staff in the corner at the noise coming from the buddies fans.

So relieved it turned out ok as anything could have happened in those playoffs!!

  9. Our stand was absolutely rocking today, my daughter and I were over at the far left side and I was watching the Hibs fans in their main stand an the staff in the corner, the looks on their faces!! We totally out sung, out drummed and out clapped them.

Great day, I even got a handshake from my cult hero Stelios at the end (prior to him almost falling backwards over the advertising board.

Very strange day as I woke up this morning feeling terribly ill (food poisoning or a bug), however we stuck to our commitment and I am so glad.

Everyone associated with our club deserves huge credit, the courage the directors, management & players have shown is outstanding, it would have been very easy to hide today but no, each and everyone fought for their jersey (and each other).

    COYS!!
