1. Logistics might mean that the roll out can't be any faster, it's, surprisingly, going really well right now.
I heard on the radio yesterday almost 2 million in Scotland, that's some going.

Indeed, 2 million is good going, take the point on logistics, guess there is only so many vaccination centres and vaccinators.

I have however always wondered if they could go 24 hours at certain locations with allocated slots?
2. With scaremongering spreading throughout Europe the old "we're erring on the side of caution" is being rolled out.
A doctor turned that on it's head, "they are throwing caution to the wind as less vaccinations will result in more cases/illness/death".
Also more talk about some sort of vaccine passport, seems to be growing calls for this, although it'll need to survive the PC brigade as, no doubt they will find a reason NOT to have one, overlooking the benefits.

I said to my wife last night if we could buy back all the Astra/Zeneca jabs that no one wants in Europe surely that could speed up our own program.
3. I had to go through a course of interferon(self injecting) every week for two years and believe me the needle for vaccine is the thinnest I've ever seen, you don't feel a thing. Honest

My boy is Type 1 diabetic and after 8 years of finger pricking to check his blood glucose his fingers were essentially getting destroyed, I explain this to his specialist who advised this very cool sensor (Dexcom) that goes in his arm every 10 days and transmits a continuous reading. Truly life changing.

Weird thing is I can inject him with insulin but cannot watch anyone else do it, I’m a woos when it comes to needles!!
4. Yeah that stuff last night (and the other night too) was way off the scale for me, I like a good laugh, don’t mind disagreements and debate but self control should be utilised when posting.

Oh and before Oaky calls me a hypocrite for mentioning debate I will be moving him off ignore tomorrow when I get on my work computer!! We can then debate.

5. Jane McDonald cruising particularly good this evening, she’s been cruising round mull and Hebrides from Oban - she’s just started singing though (not meant as a compliment or insult)....In case someone’s watching.......

6. Did we really? I thought they both had very quiet games to say the least.
Not saying that like it’s a criticism as they were only just back from injury, but I definitely don’t think they were particularly good.
That said, I hope they are both playing on Saturday.

Thought JDH was his tidy self, McGrath arguably and understandably a bid jaded on reflection, however with another week under their belts this should make us stronger.

Quaner hopefully the secret weapon!!
7. Would we all have to wear our avatars to identify each other? The funny thing is for those that actually don’t know each other we would likely recognise the faces.

I have only met one fellow forum member before.

8. Jane McDonald was great in her cruise ship programme on Saturday tea time, she was in Iceland, her singing was poor but her warmth and people skills great - love Jane so I do!!

Need to look up where she might be this Saturday or may just leave as a wee surprise....

9. Football Focus, the amount of "token" black co-presenters is becoming beyond a joke.
Currently Carlton Cole, his colour is irrelevant, he's hopeless.
Add in the new "in thing" of Micha Richards, who's also hopeless, unless you like a laughing clown, and it's gone mad.
Oh Alex Scott is excellent, easily worth her spot on the many programmes she appears on.
Dion Dublin is also pretty decent.

Just read this now, this very subject came up on our team call yesterday morning, to me it’s like a form of positive discrimination - TalkSPORT as well as Sky have gone mad with this over the last six months, IMO its clearly wrong as to why or whatever reason the opportunities were not there before and it’s great to correct it, but not with overkill and hire good quality.

The colour of skin doesn’t guarantee good punditry, again IMO Jenas (mentioned on an earlier thread is quality), Richards is dire, I like Ferdinand and I think Robbie Savage is pants.

All about personal taste I guess!!
10. It seems to depend on the type of vaccine.
As antrin said, the Oxford/Astra Zeneca, doesn't require any observation after being administered.
I can't wait, well I can, but when I get it I'll see it as a superpower, Tesco shoppers watch out.

When she got back to the car it was the first thing I asked her - what one did you get - she never asked[emoji848]

When I get mine (whenever that may be) I will want to know what one / type, just out of sheer curiosity!!

11. Remembering back, there was others that didn't have to wait as they had folk that hadn't been vaccinated with them.

This was done by a doctors surgery using the cathedrals hall.

My wife got the jag a few weeks ago at the RAH (walk in type service) and she did have to wait, just to ensure no reaction as such.
