Today’s successful bet was thanks to the Vietnamese League of Legends eSports Championship.

My mate went for a double on the table tennis.

Don't know I'm afraid. We'll need to wait and see.

What I will say is that in 2 weeks, the end of the financial year occurs.

You could submit a set of accounts on 6th April, aligning your companies tax year with it (I have always do this - so much easier), and maybe that will count for something.

As it’s the first time I’ve gone down this route I’m acquiring help from a guy who’s an accountant. I know it was in the plans to meet up in the next few weeks to sort the figures out (that part itself will be easy enough as I need to take down total earnings before leasing costs anyway). As things draw nearer I will probably end up asking him about this, but there doesn’t seem to be a clear answer on the government websites for those who only became self employed in the past three years.

I'm hearing that a bill is going through the House of Lords for self employed people.

Looks like they are going to offer 80% of earnings averaged over the last 3 years up to about £2.5k-ish providing you are not earning at the moment. Not sure if that includes (probably not) the current financial year which is about to end in a fortnight.

I think that is perfectly fair and around what employees are going to get.

Does this include earnings made from working in employment in those three years?

I only started as self-employed at the end of September. My earnings proper to that were in normal employment. As such, HMRC currently have no figures of what I’ve earned since the change in job. Would this take in my earnings of the previous job, and likewise until I give them the earned figures post-Sep how would they get a figure on this?

Just because a court delivers a not guilty verdict doesn't mean the person didn't do it ! Yes he is 100% innocent in the eyes of the law and legally that's all that counts but as I said only AS and the accusers really know the truth. You must realise history is littered with people who committed crimes being found NG.

History is also littered with accusations made against innocent people.

What these sexual assault claims do is destroy someone’s reputation regardless of innocence. Many have had their lives ruined, families broken apart and been labelled a “predator” for life because of false accusations, even when 100% clear and innocent.

I could claim Salmond touched my cock in 2013, get him taken to court and obviously lose the case as it was nonsense. Some out there would genuinely believe it happened anyway. That’s the point of these false accusations - it tars these people for life even when fully innocent.

I completely understand your point about the accusations thrown out for lack of evidence, when the assault happened, and I feel for every single victim of such a case. It must be horrific to see the person committing the assault walk free. What I’m saying is that for every case where a victim doesn’t see justice, there’s another case full of lies and deceit to try and destroy someone’s life and image.

The Corona virus display got lots of publicity, including in The Sun and The Record. It was a clever idea to feature something topical, and was a job well done.

That’s true but it was also at Darkheid so it had a higher chance of gaining coverage from the off.

My concern though is that everyone still paying £30 to get in while protesting the price isn’t going to change anything, a near empty away end would have sent a larger message.

  6. In truth I would suggest it be better to boycott a game away to the bigots than an midweek away match to Livi.

For a start, the media covers anything involving the green bigots and Sevco whereas the Livi v Saints match was barely noticeable. Sending in two guys with a large banner to cover the empty seats displaying a message on pricing would gain so much more coverage across the media. Boycotting the Livi match has had little effect, and wasn’t really going to. Do it on the biggest stage on the game and the campaign has a better chance of making headway.

I do find it pointless that they’ve attended this game in numbers while protesting the price. As I said above, keep it to two guys just so they can display a large banner, it makes more sense and conveys a bigger protest. We need this campaign to gain ground but we need to hit the right places to do it - if there’s another boycott the best thing they can do is to do it at one of the bigotdomes.

  7. The English leagues and Sky can afford the fines. Sky must see it as worth it financially, they’ll make more than they’ll pay up on the fines from showing these games.

They won’t make the same money showing a Scottish game so we just get ignored. Until the fines increase massively Sky will continue to break the rules for their own benefit.

ETA: It also hurts BT’s viewing figures which is why Sky also do it.

9 games to go, only 1 more OF match and we are right in the mix among 4 teams.

Way too much negativity on this forum for me so I'm out. I'll leave the wrist-slitters to spread their gloom.

    Have a nice night folks.

Always the same when we have the expected loss away to the bigot sides.

People need to calm down ffs, I don’t get why they get their knickers in a twist when we suffer another expected loss at the Bigot Dome.

I think, and I'm just taking a punt here, that @Cornwall_Saint would probably considered most of the above ALONG with his point, ya dafty.

The fact he cannie kick his arse makes it all rather pointless TBH.

(sets the bait, waits on a nibble )

Don’t need to be able to kick anything when you play as a keeper at Monday night six-a-side League 😉

Surely you would consider things like whether you liked the manager and the coaches or not, how you saw your playing style fitting in with the managers ethos and the current players at the club, relationships or friendships with any of the current squad, and the location - where you were going to live - local schools etc, would feature more in your decision than whether or not a bunch of wee boys were banging a drum and busting some shapes

Ffs, way to take it completely out of context 😂

    Not for me!

Before I start can I say that both my sons love what W7 does and they admire the single use plastic displays, the incessant singing, dance moves, and the non stop tedium of that fecking drum! I understand why they like it, but for me it's just egotistical bollocks from a bunch of people who want their own wee slice of attention.

I love football, any football. I pay my admission money to watch football. The players are the people I am at a match to see and I struggle to understand the motives of anyone who goes to a football match to bang drums, to try to start singalongs, or who spend most of their time gesticulating at opposition fans and trying to goad them. Because their "atmosphere" isn't responsive to what is happening on the pitch I find it all unbelievably plastic. Against Motherwell at Fir Park in the Scottish Cup they stood up all game, and sung regardless of whether it was 4-1 to St Mirren or 4-4. Last night during an insipid 90 minutes they did the same again.

That’s fair enough, we all have our opinions on this.

Personally I’m on the opposite end of the spectrum to you - when I go to a game (rare, I know 🙄) yes I’m going to see the Saints and want them to win, but I’m also there to enjoy myself and have a good day out. I love that aspect of the game, when the fans are singing and making themselves heard. The drum can enhance that side of the experience too. The one thing I fully agree with you on is the goading of opposition fans - there’s no need for it. Most of them are the exact same as us, they support their local sides and I have plenty of respect for a fan who pays to watch a team due to locality instead of success (even M*rt*n fans). The only fans I couldn’t give a shite about would be the green bigots and the zombies.

If I was a player, and I was being offered the exact same wage by two clubs on a very similar level with similar success, and one club had a W7 type atmosphere and the other had a Main Stand atmosphere, I’d be joining the W7 sort. Each to their own though!

  12. I don’t rate Mullen as a starter but he’s a good impact sub. Plenty of energy, a pain in the ass for tiring defenders, and crucially, while not a major goalscorer he can pick a goal out of nothing as he’s willing to strike from range when he gets the space to.

As I say above I would never start the lad, but he can still change a game later on. Ffs he’s got to be better than Andreu.

Come on.. Don't spoil my fun. But Cornwall.. Are there no flights to Glasgow from Cornwall? No excuses not to go to games!

It was limited to summer flights only but Loganair are announcing an all year round route starting from April/May fae Newquay to Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen.

I’d love to but I don’t think I can afford to attend every match. I have never worked in any of the fields you mention that are clear mega bucks. I don’t even have a LinkedIn page. I am but a mere peasant in comparison to your job title thingys.

Note to self... Be more ingratiating in future. Actually, I think Mr Cornwall may have been looking for just that reply.

It is the Latest Scores thread, and I posted what was a latest score.

    It ended 4-0 btw.

Brest are currently 1-0 up on Soligorsk in the Belarusian Super Cup.
