I reckon his value is close to zero. He’s 26 and has less than 50 Premiership appearances to his name. There aren’t any clubs that would pay a transfer fee for Allan IMO

I wouldn’t imagine that Scott Allan has much cash value at all. He’s a free transfer / left by mutual consent.

Best thing to do would be to ring fence the McGinn money and invest it for the long term. Then, say in 20 years or so, we should have a massive lump sum of money which we could start to live off the interest. The ring fenced fund could, of course, be dipped into from time to time for things such as new AstroTurf for training pitches.

Agree Of the regulars, we lost Morgan, Smith and Davis. Reilly has also left, albeit he had been benched. We’ve brought in Heaton, McGinn, King, Kellerman & Cooke. As far as I can see I don’t think we are too short on numbers. If the 5 we had brought in had all been known players then I don’t think there would be an issue. Folk seem to be panicking because they don’t know if the new guys are any good or not! We’ll bring in more players, there is no doubt. But I really don’t think we’re in a different position than some other clubs.

Ball came from Derby County. I know they were technically in a lower English league but I’m assuming that by ‘lower league’, what was meant was non league. Wouldn’t have thought it meant a club with 30k attendances in the 5th best supported league in Europe!

If these guys were free agents who had been with other clubs last season, I doubt that anyone would be happy with us signing them.

T. Craig brought in 1 lower league English guy

Olivier Ntcham was also a Man City reserve and he only cost £4 million. Patrick Roberts is a Man City reserve and he actually did cost them £12 million! John McGinn will probably be Ntcham's back up so £1.5 million doesn't seem too unrealistic.

The Man City youngster is a Ukrainian international with 17 caps.
