Not sure why anyone would want to drive in and around central London. I’ve done it back in the 80s/90s
Bit like why would anyone want to drive along Paisley High Street, it was just a very slow moving car park before it got pedestrianised. -
Remember council drawings aren't always correct, there will no doubt be a gap at the junction similar to the one on Renfrew Road at Hamilton Street. [emoji6]So to get out of Christie Street you have to go into the bus lane on Gladgow Road? Feckin genius. [emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787] -

Could it not also lead to people turning left into Christie St from Glasgow Rd and cut through the Lagoon Centre car park and out onto Mill St via Bank St?

I know I’m bucking the trend here but. Closing the slip road from Glasgow road onto mill street thus making cars travel to turn left onto Cotton street will result in more accidents at the two Gordon street/Mill street junctions (there are a fair amount of crashes there already ) also when bridge street and Gauze street are closed off for events there will be mayhem.
Don't know if there's still plans to open up an area in front of the town hall for events to be moved from Cotton/Bridge Street.

Remember the buildings around Orkney Street in 1988 but don't remember walking past them around Govan Cross. Sometimes I wonder if I walk around blindfolded. [emoji848]

Shull just [emoji90] it big time. [emoji1787] -
I can't speak for Shull but you've certainly not upset me.
I doubt you have upset Shull either as you're quite pathetic to be honest. A bit of a coward from what I've read as well.
Glad you can remember somethings that you've written with your previously banned aliases, and I'll reiterate I've never posted on here as Cockles1987 as@div can confirm if you ask or pm him nicely. -
A private hire delight. [emoji6]More changes ahead? [emoji589]

Was dropping off stuff last Sunday on Montgomery Road at 6pm. I was going the proposed way and either I or the on coming cars had to stop at a gap or reverse into one, 3 times when it isn't that busy. -

Oh no, I've upset shull again.[emoji1787]Is that what happened to your previous aliases of "Slartibartfast" and "Sluttybuttfest" as well as Cookie Monster's "Cockles1987" alias?
Those in glass houses and all that...
Anyway, you're only the "play thing" of Bazil.
As I've told all your previous aliases I have never posted as Cockles1987.
As I wrote previously liars/trolls forget what they previously posted and always get found out. Ain't that right shull [emoji1787] -

Dunno if I’ve got this wrong.
The bit where it talks about the Lawn st / Gauze st/ Cotton st junction being replaced by a roundabout …… but they’re saying that the Abbey side of Cotton street Is to be closed off ( Yellow ), so does that mean a mini roundabout at Lawn / Gauze street or some sort of massive construction to include the other side of carriageway in the red circle.
If not, are cars turning left out of lawn street on this new roundabout then having to turn right across traffic into the single carriageway Cotton street just 50-60 yards along Gauze street ? -
Obviously never been held up here, can tail back from the Mill St/ Glasgow Road junction to Abercorn St and along most of Renfrew Road.Fannying about with something which doesn’t need fixed IMO [emoji35]
I’d rather the money was spent fixing the potholes .[emoji35] -
A bit harsh. Perhaps [mention=5470]elvis[/mention] is simply feeling a little more optimistic today?
That was me being mellow, I'm not allowed to post what I really think of liars and trolls. [emoji1787] -
Currently in Edinburgh, think I'll need to go out and enjoy the hospitality. [emoji16]Aye, doesn't seem to be celebrated as much as the other home nations.
Should be. [emoji1022][emoji1634] -
Depending on the traffic lights sequencing at Mill/Gordon/Bridge/Lonend junction, I can see Hawkhead and Kilnside roads getting used more to go onto Seedhill Road to get to Mill Street.Sounds a bit mental. No left turn from Glasgow Road into Mill Street? That's just going to cause issues in Cotton Street with much more traffic going along there - especially tailbacks from the Bridge Street/Mill Street junction. Unless there are plans to change the phasing of the lights there - at the moment only 4/5 cars get through (from each lane) - but that will just cause tailbacks on the other streets at that junction as they will have to wait longer.
I suppose it's just going to be another f**kup we'll have to get used to - like the one-way system. -
Looks like it's more to help pedestrians that are crossing the glasgow road slip outside the cathedral. Currently it's a guessing game if they are going to glasgow road or mill street. This is an interesting development.
Not sure how the introduction of a dedicated left turn at that Incle St - Glasgow road junction will improve traffic flow, but I assume the traffic planning department know what they are doing.
Perhaps we need to attach ourselves together on the statue of St Mirin! [emoji23]
Appreciate the information HSS.
