There was a petrol station opposite the RAI entrance on the corner across from where the doctor's is now. Don't know if that's the right location or not as I am not old enough to remember the cinema.Are you sure about the petrol station mate?I was brought up in that area and have absolutely no memory of one there. -

But it is what you spent most of your post talking about, and that is what I addressed.That's not the topic on this thread though. It's a complaint about that thread being deleted. IMO, the original discussion was done to death and had meandered so it being deleted didn't mean a damn thing in the larger scheme. IF BinEK really wanted to make something of it there was/are better platforms to make the complaint. He was simply making a comment and that comment was commented on. Given the length of the thread I'm sure everyone who wanted to contribute had done so and I never saw one person change there stance so it impacted on no one when it was deleted.
This thread is actually about a perceived overreaction, hence the title. -
Did he? Where did he "own me"? I said the thread had been done to death. It had. IF someone wanted it taken seriously and followed up, a wee fans' forum isn't going to cut it. IF the poster seriously thought something was so foul that it needed to be addressed then a wee fans' forum isn't the place to get justice. I never once said it shouldn't have been discussed. I said, and I repeat, there are far better platforms to air this and have it taken further. To bleat on about a thread being deleted as if it was going to change the world is ludicrous.
The original thread on this forum was about comments made on this forum, therefore the logical place for the thread/discussion is definitely this forum.
No matter a person's opinion, or lack of opinion, on the comments, the fact is that this forum was the right and logical place for the discussion. -

Let's put this into some perspective here.
The chances of catching the virus, despite the media continuing with their scaremongering, is very small.
The chances of coming to any great harm is also very small, the death rate per million is less than .2%
These minute chances are very much reduced if you have the vaccine.
Now I'll be quite happy with my vaccination passport, and content that everyone else on the plane has one.
When I get off the plane, I'll be comfortable enough that me, and my wife, as I'm a selfish b'strd, will be pretty safe as we'd go to a destination that has also a very safe environment. [emoji14]
A bit pedantic here but 0.2% per million is 0.2% per whatever number you feckin want. -

So you rubbish claims about Ivermectin saving lives because it’s only fit for animals (in your words) so I assume you wouldn’t take it.

BTW. I’m not in the anti vaccine camp, I am however concerned that healthy people are dying after taking a vaccine and it’s not even making the news, hence the reason countries have pulled the plug until they’ve completed further studies.

Apparently 6 care home residents in England died today with another 3 seriously ill. All had previously tested positive for Covid and all had been vaccinated. It’s said those that died, died from Covid. -
