Disgusted by Parker getting chop.. not surprised JR did... clearly something far wrong at Utd with Watts and Mulgrew on bench... and their players did throw in the towel v Celts... we just outplayed them.. what now... or do we care what happens below us.. if Utd or Hibs had any sense they would appoint Martindale...but they will want a big salary name who is unproven in SPFL... f**kem and long may their suffering go on... we are presently ok and a reminder that Directors and Owners are far more fickle than us fans
Totally agree with you on Parker getting the boot. Don't care about whats happening at bottom of the table nor do I think that is going to be the case this season. I don't think SR suffers slackers in the team and or as the case may be if you aren't going to push yourself to get into the team no matter what age you are then you can leave.

Was that Mechelen or Tromso? Mind you, could have been both.
Mechelen. To be fair they ended up winning the cup that year, at least we didn't lose to a crap team

It was a horrible kit and looking back I believe it was responsible for decline from 1987, see also the barcode strip which had a similar effect 🤔
Huddersfield also were subjected to that strip at same time if I remember right.

Similar to what I passed my test in.
I much preferred the semi automatic gearbox that the "newer" Leopards had than any of the automatics that were around at that time. They're probably a lot better now though, I would guess.Maybe not as they are overcomplicated with sensors here, there and everywhere

Ah a proper bus to learn in. Crash gearbox and no power steering. In saying that I passed mine in similar to single decker at left hand side on pic. Once again with no power steering and crash box.
Unlike nowadays. Power steering, automatics and air handbrake instead of big rachet handbrake.

And now the managers are at it

2-1 well laid off by Sterling. Well taken by James too.

Prescott Cables are a decent side so he will still be playing at a good level , I am guessing this way he will still be the star of the side which is supporter owned, plus his nephew plays there.
Fitness could be potentially suspect as not played many games with a layoff since leaving Derry.
2018–2019 – St. Mirren – 13 games (4 goals)
2019–2020 – Scunthorpe United – 18 games (1 goal)
2019 → Stockport County (loan) – 4 games(0 goals)
2020–2021 – Derry City – 11 games (1 goal)
2022– Prescot CablesNon league footy has changed over the years. I remember saying to my eldest lad a few years ago that imo a lot of the players are probably more dedicated to the game as a lot of it is part time and to keep fitness, training and keep an outside job going at the same time takes dedication. Leagues like national league now are predominantly full-time now and are a good competitive standard. Years ago when carlisle dropped into what was the conference only about half the teams could afford to remain full-time. Unfortunately now once a player 'drops down' it very unusual for them to get back.
Only exception being I think very recently was a lad Owen Moxon who was at Annan part time now at carlisle and doing well. Think it helped the Annan manager being a carlisle player for years too.

He was a terrific player. No idea why he has slipped down the leagues
Could be a number of reasons mate obviously his skill not being one of them. To be fair the non league scene down here is littered with players that really should be still playing at a higher level. Maybe a bit like the junior scene in Scotland.

Just going through round up of local non league games which I do like and an ex player of ours was at it again with a screamer. Adam Hamill who now plays for merseyside outfit prescott cables with the winner in their fa Cup preliminary round match. Don't think he knows what a close range finish is.
Good player but at 34 now finds himself well down the footy pyramid.

Tanser was never really injured at St.Johnstone.
His injury problems seem to have developed with us.
We do need to bring in a LB/LWB.
With Fraser filling in for Gallagher yesterday, we had no real cover for Strain either.
As other post thanks for clearing that one 👍

Tanser was out of contract and we offered more (wages & signing on fee) than St Johnstone.
Thanks for that👍

From watching yesterday I'm not sure what else we need to help add to the squad. Before I still thought we needed a Gogic type and a more creative type like Ronan. From yesterday I thought Erhahon, Baccus and Kiltie played really well (though looked f**ked like anyone would in that heat playing at that tempo). I'm now thinking, even if it's the loan market, maybe cover for both wing backs who can get up and down all day at that tempo would be good. Tanser is good and a great option on his day, but is injured a fair bit. Tait did well yesterday and his goal was great, but he is seen as backup on both sides. With Tanser out and him in, we are light there with players.

Tanser far too injury prone, maybe JG thought his training regime would have been able to help. Maybe this is why the fakes were glad to get him off their books. Anyway as for Tait, it wouldn't surprise me if he knows he is now a backup player as he is into his 30s now. Not a bad type of players to have as back up as in gives 100% every game. Certainly puts some of the younger ones to shame..................

Don't see this at all. I think he is way better than Fraser. We all have our opinions but we will need to disagree on Strain
I agree with you about Strain, think he played well. Maybe still a little behind in match fitness given he hadn't played much last season due to injury then frozen out team.

Super stuff, excellent 3 points. Much much better.

What a save probably got us the 3 points

Can't stand watching centre backs going down and rolling about as if been shot.
Ones for county good at it

And Ross Stewart scored again
Yeah did see that as well.......maybe they get played to their strengths these days instead of chasing hopeful punts up the park

Much better than last week, we could win this. 👍
Keeping an eye on other matches too.
Our old striker Dennis with his 4 now in 4 games.

Would appear sticking with this awful wingback stuff. OK if you are on the front foot but if not it's playing 5 at the back at home.
Just a purist for 442 with overlapping full backs and plenty of crosses to attack.

Issue is he wasn't far wrong tho. The players that are still there after last foray into premiership weren't good enough to stay in it and certainly now aren't up to it. Other players brought in were good enough to get promoted. They act more like Norwich and Watford now tbf.
