Who said there was ?

Maybe in this day and age, we should love all the Bigots and condone their behaviour.
Then again, maybe not.
FECKEM ALL AND THEIR SYMPATHISERS
Who is a bigot sympathiser on here? Surely it’s the opposite. -
Surely we shouldn't be comparing ourselves to the OF fans when talking about this situation. If it was a joke then it has to be funny, I'm no snowflake but using the H** word isn't funny IMO. The Bridge "joke" again isn't particularly funny. If they'd said that about our fans there would be an uproar from our fans, so whatever will be will be at the end of the day.

I believe he could have gone on to better things with Scotland, but the lure of going back to HIS club was too much for him.
Agreed.

Sad news. He was a great manager and by all accounts a good guy as well. He did a great job when he was the manager of the national team too, RIP Walter.

Why do we have to replace all of the money that would be lost through season tickets alone ? Can we not have a small increase in the price in season tickets and find the rest through other avenues? The policy currently pursued by our board will slowly erode our home support , not just at OF games, but overall.

I don't think anyone is denying how hypocritical the OF are. We can't blame them for what came out JN's mouth, that's entirely down to him and it's unacceptable as chairman of our club.
-
I didn't hear any unfair comments about us as a club, more about Needham himself. They were saying exactly what many on here are saying that he probably has to go.

I think anyone who has written, or spoken in a derogatory way about any team's supporters have a bloody cheek to denounce remarks made in a stupid tweet. No matter how you play it, the "H" word, (not Hamm......), isn't bigoted. The term was and is commonly used to describe the then rangers, now newco fans.
Yes. JN will probably fall on his sword but lets not kid ourselves. This has been manufactured by a self obsessed, overbearing, bunch of fan(nies) whose bigotry is renowned.
As for the powers that be.
IF they are keen to investigate one Saint Mirren fan's comments then, for Christ's sake, be open and even and investigate the real bigotry that oozes out of the two @rsecheeks fan pages, not to mention the sh!te we have been subjected to on the terraces when they come a calling.
I can 't see how he can stay and have any credibility as the chairman of our club after this. However I completely agree with you, it should open the floodgates as regards to their consistent sectarian behaviour.
-
I think it is obvious that he needs to go. of course the hypocrisy of a certain element of the Rangers is sickening but if we want to be taken seriously i don't see an alternative.

Unless we bring in at least 1 wide player before the deadline then it's going to be hard few months. We lack width and pace and as a result we're creating very few goal scoring chances. Defensively we were reasonable but that's not going to win us games.

I hope the season doesn't continue in the way it has so far on and off the park. We've been pretty shambolic with pretty much everything off the park and to not even have your season ticket going into September is embarrassing. On the park... not particularly impressed with what I've seen albeit via St Mirren TV due to that super fair ballot system 🙄 We really need a few last minute additions, hopefully 2 wide midfielders with pace. We are clearly lacking in those positions since Durmus and Connolly left.

5-0 … amateur hour defending

Lying down like the good old days. Oh dear this is embarrassing.

We have been absolutely rank. What was Power thinking about with that challenge so early in the game? I’ve not actually been to see us for 18 months do I want to go back for my first game next week? I think I’ll need a few [emoji481][emoji481][emoji481] before it if this is what we’ve got to offer this season.

Why have a 150 in a stand when u can have 1800? Makes no buisness sense at all. Small clubs like Saints need to utilise every opportunity to make money. You obviously have never run a buisness or have any idea what it takes.
150? Did you just pluck that number randomly? The family stand hosts more than 150 saints fans and this is not a normal business. Being loyal to your own fan base makes more economic sense long term if you want to keep them as fans. -
Haven't set foot there for over 10 years. Don't agree with our BOD and their stance in regards to our Family stand being handed to the OF and that's an argument that will never go away,

It’s not even ‘family bubbles’ required. It’s surely just people that are willing to be seated as part of a group - exact same as a restaurant setting.
I previously defended the club by saying that the allocation of group spacing was not that straightforward. But having now seen them receive group allocations via Google forms, and having seen the new ticket platform, it should totally have been achievable to allocate seating in groups and maximise attendances.
It looks like they’ve simply measured out the 1m plan and applied it to the ticket platform. Run and ballot and then leave the rest of it to the fans as self-serve for the tickets, sticking rigidly to the programmed 1m plan.
Realistically, the club should have sought the applications (single or group) from fans, encouraging supporters to group together if they felt comfortable, and then the club should have controlled the allocation of seating to maximise attendance.
As it is, I’ve got a mate who’s family group have been allocated 6 tickets and this will consume 16 seats if I’m not mistaken. Bonkers!
I don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes but if the club’s get out is that they’ve not got the resources to do that then I’m afraid that is a disgrace.
Exactly. I'm sorry but they are quick to take our ST money each year ( which I happily pay for) Yet we get this utter shambles thrown at us without a proper explanation, just some vague blame the council line trotted out. If it is the council then why do they hate us so much? doesn't seem to be the case at most other Scottish clubs.

Correct, The way I read it if you have more than 1 season ticket "linked to your account" if you were successful in ballot all linked tickets had a seat lo and behold I got a ticket for Hearts so my 3 "linked tickets got 1 too. As my quote above regarding Hearts Ballot I attended the ticket office yesterday and today they are obviously run off their feet spoke to the same woman both days and she told me they have been on receiving end of some not so happy customers.
I did mention the lack of communication from upstairs was causing 99% off the problem she actually put it quite politely that it certainly hasn't helped their job.
I feel for the ones in the firing line because they're always the ones who get anger directed at them when in fact it's those at the top who deserve all the stick they're getting. As I've stated previously my 2 brothers and nephew were successful...why the club couldn't allow family bubbles is beyond me. Are we that unpopular at Renfrewshire council? 1039 is a complete and utter joke especially when you see the numbers allowed at Falkirk and the fact that just a few days later days later the OF are allowed full capacity. Even this weekend Celtic are allowed 25,000 at their game which is roughly 40% capacity so why are we allowed roughly 12%? Something stinks!

I’ve read numerous points of view on the whole capacity thing over the last few days. All things considered I’m still of them view the club’s handling of the situation has been completely amateurish and shambolic. That’s despite me having a few days to calm down from my initial reaction. As others have said it’s a complete kick in the stones to loyal fans who go home and away as much as possible to support the team.
Their reasoning from the club for the situation is vague at best and communication is a shambles also. I don’t tend to favour the word customer when it comes to supporting your team but any other business bends over backwards not upset their customers or at least resolve issues to keep them happy. Well it appears there are a sh**load of unhappy loyal fans/ customers out there! -
I don’t suppose anyone at the club can explain why Falkirk ( a League One side) are allowed 3 times the amount that St Mirren are allowed?

The club Seemed to think that after 16 months away nobody would be that bothered about how hey balloted the tickets for the first game. Only after the complaints did they change it for league games. Cup game league game it makes no difference people want to see their team play . I’ve got a mate who’s had three successful ballots to me who has zero.
We have less than three thousand season ticket holders... Everyone who wanted to should have had at least one chance at going to a game. Also as buddieinek has said what's wrong with having family bubbles sitting together? we've seen the images from other SPL grounds. JOKE!
-
It's the club that are due criticism for this farce not the fans who were successful. They've made an arse of it but I don't expect them to admit it any time soon.
