I'm not a fan of Swinney's, but he does kinda have a point ......

How many Scottish families (voters) will be abroad on holiday on election day ? Also, thousands of schools in Scotland will have to be re-opened as polling stations during the shutdown period.

Once again, Tories showing utter disdain and disrespect for the Scots.

I’ve never understood why schools are closed for elections when there are plenty of council owned premises available to towns and villages - be that community centres, leisure centres, etc.

Even if all council facilities are closed perhaps church halls could be used instead of closing down vital services.

Children’s education should be a priority.

Plus teachers get enough days off as it is.

Old firm is no longer a thing.

The Intellectual Property Office states that Celtic and Rangers are the registered joint owners of the terms "Old Firm" and "The Old Firm".

Just last Tuesday the term "Old Firm" was renewed by both parties. The Intellectual Property Office website states: "Trademark has been renewed on 02/03/2021."

The "Old Firm" trademark - under number UK00002264673 - dates back to March 2, 2001 - with "The Old Firm" - given number UK0002181523A - going back to 1998.

  3. Imagine trolling a website with the same negative shite week after week.

This sums up the mentality of an entitled fan brought up on trophies year after year with his former club Celtic.

St Mirren are actually one of the most successful clubs in Scotland that don’t reside in a city.

Given our proximity to Glasgow I think we do ok.

Motherwell have not won a major domestic honour since 1991. They even ended up in administration trying to keep up with the OF.

Partick Thistle - 1971/72. League Cup

Morton last were in the top flight in 1988.

Despite losing today - I’d rather be chasing Europe than a relegation scrap.

If Dundee get into Europe because of better results over the season then fair fcuks.

Possible, but highly improbable. If in the unlikely scenario we were to close the gap to say four or five points, then I would start to take an interest in their results. As it is, they're almost meaningless. We could 'do a Leicester' and win the league next year, but it's highly improbable so I wouldn't even entertain the prospect unless we were sitting top around February/March. :)

I stated that Aberdeen were in contention, 'mathematically at least'. I simply included Aberdeen for completeness.

Re: the emboldened text - you don't have to justify yourself to me! :) I fear some folk are delusional enough to believe we can still realistically finish fourth; I wish to spare such people the disappointment they will inevitably feel, pal.

Thank fcuk you are nowhere near the the St Mirren dressing room.

Mr Negative. Take a seat next to Elvis.

I don't touch it, bores me so no wish to lose money on something I've absolutely no interest in.

    C'mon the horses.

Ach I know. I guess old habits die hard.

When I was a lad it I’m sure it used to coincide with scottish cup semi final weekend. Or am I making that up?

Naw but they should have been in 2003 when they finished bottom when Falkirk got shafted

    Falkirk shafted themselves.

Brockville was decrepit and potentially dangerous to spectators while they spent millions on players transfers, signing on fees and wages.

Fcuk them! They knew the rules that other clubs like ourselves adhered to.

Zero sympathy for them given the money they spent on players like Stainrod, Waddle, McAllister etc

Spotted this item praising the library recently opened on the High Street.

There was a post on here bad mouthing the investment in the library and Town Hall which, as far as I could tell, seemed strange as both are a good addition to the things Paisley has to offer.

I’d love to know the footfall of residents using libraries in Renfrewshire.

Any time I visit libraries in the area there are very quiet 🤫.

    😂

I do use the local libraries on a regular basis. Anytime I’m in there are very few people using them. I visit Paisley, Linwood, Johnstone and Ferguslie and often there are more staff than customers.

From what I understand you can no longer visit the Town Hall for a casual look around. Only access is for events that you pay for.

Prior to the NI game on Radio Scotland Thommo was proclaiming that McGregor is the best midfielder that Steve Clarke has right now.

Better than all our other midfielders who play in one of the most competitive leagues in the world?

    I personally don’t agree.

It’s all about opinions I guess.

    This generations Ham**rby? Worse?

One game in a long season. Losing to Killie is countered by winning away at Aberdeen.

Losing to the Swedish mob in the 2nd round of the UEFA Cup. In my opinion cannot compare. Next round would have been against FC Koln of Germany.

The 2010 LC Final was the worst experience in my lifetime as there was a major domestic honour (against an OF side) at stake which trumps the UEFA cup loss.
