Any reason why Nazon didn't start? Despite him being the only player we've had this season that's managed to hold the ball in an attacking position?
The Duck should have been on earlier. The second half in particular was made for him..

What is all this utter bollocks about us playing for a draw. Complete nonsense. There is a world of difference between playing for a draw and simply being utterly incompetent in the final third.
Killie might have had more possession than us, but we had 11 attempts fo their 15 and arguably (other than the one that hit the post) we had better chances. Jackson’s two for a start were better than anything else they had. We were just useless at converting our chances.
-
He has now. Great run
-
Has the Duck touched the ball yet?
-
Jackson takes far to long to get his shot away. That’s twice now.

Andy Walker doesnae half talk a load of utter shite.

Is it coincidence that McGinn is back in midfield and nothing is happening?
Eh?
McGinn is playing wing back like he did against Livi??

Quite enjoyed that half. Absolutely wild conditions again but good fun.
Don’t think either team deserves to be ahead. Could do with a win but not losing gets us off the bottom, so take that.Exactly. I think a lot of people only look at what we’re doing and not the other team. Killie have done f**k all so are they playing for a draw too.

Fear the worst second half when they have the wind. Think we might need the Duck on in an attempt to hold the ball up, otherwise I can see it just coming back at us all the time.

half time.
St Mirren offering nothing in attack.
Looks like we are playing for a draw.
At some point we must take a gamble and
get more bodies forward.
I don’t think we’ve been playing for a draw at all. We’ve just been utterly woeful in the final third.
-
Get McAllister off the corners FFS!!
-
I’m liking our aggression and we look solid at the back, but final ball in attack is honkin so far.
A St. Mirren failing through the years.

What the f**k was that there from Lyons? Lost his man brilliantly with a wee drop of the shoulder, then passed it to the invisible man.

Both McGinns are playing. Nazon and Dreyer are dropped.
Oh aye. 0/10 for observation on my part.

Same shape as the Livi game then, with Lyons and McAllister in for McGinn and Dreyer.

Its at times like this that young men (and young women, but mostly men) show themselves up to being little more than molly coddled children.
So the Police stopped and searched a bus did they? Stop greeting like spoilt little bitches. Man up you entitled baw bags. If you are law abiding then you have nothing to worry about, otherwise you are a criminal. Criminals need stamped upon and I have no objection, neigh I welcome some mild inconvenience in eradicating this scum and villainy from our society.
Fans not criminals are a group? Are they, they sound like a tracksuit wearing, open toed sandal civil liberty loving tree hugging jizz rags. Again I refer you to the scum and villainy point above.
The club need to listen to the W7/Supra's/bunch of unhappy pre-pubescent teenagers? No they don't. They really don't. In fact I am disappointed that the club arranged this meeting at all. The opinion of tracksuits need never be considered.
The club said this, the tracksuits said that, I didn't see it or I did see it and I am not saying or it didn't happen but it did! Behave yourselves. The club owes no-one an explanation. Like any privately owned business no-one has the right to dictate its actions (that's what directors are for).
In the wake of a shameful, shameful period for football I would like to see the club, the Scottish government and the Police work together to eradicate this scum element from our game. Not every tracksuit at the football is a criminal but every criminal at the football wears a tracksuit. Search every tracksuit in and around the ground, film these tracksuited scum bags, deal severely and without discretion each and every offensive remark, disorderly conduct or thuggish act. Let us eradicate the tracksuit wearers from the terraces. I propose a new supporters group
Fans not tracksuits, fans not tracksuits indeed.
Some may say Tom, that the wearing of a tracksuit for any purpose other than travelling to or from a stint of physical sporting endeavour, is in itself a criminal offence.

Naturally there's a difference in the levels of affinity with the 2 clubs and that sense of belonging you mentioned means I'm affected more by what happens at NUFC. Its my local team and therefore my 1st love. Having said that I've loved my experiences with the saints over the years. It's the 1st other score I look out for and I've generally got to at least half a dozen saints games a season. Only done one so far this season. TBH the affection of saints fans for Jack Ross, Lewis Morgan etc, and to a certain extent SAFC because that's where they are just now is putting me off a bit. My saints interest stems from a few weeks spent with a schoolmate and his aunt in Bridge of Weir in 1983. Didn't even know where St Mirren played before I went and my only knowledge of them were the team in black and white at the back of my panini sticker album. Got to about 3 saints games in that time as well as watching other games in the area. Loved everything about the club. Love Street was great. Seen a draw at ibrox at new year and loved the way we held the 'big' boys. Should that be bigot boys? ☺ COYS.
So what you’re saying is when we inevitably meet in the Champions League you’ll be supporting the Toon!

I haven't suggested JRs' job should be in any danger. In response to you saying JR seemed popular in the RTG thread i merely pointed out that before a recent upturn in results there were SAFC fans who were doubting him. Even quotes in that thread, from Sunderland fans said so. Many a caller to radio Newcastles' nightly football phone in doubted him. I won't say anything positive about SAFC but i will be honest. There's every chance they'll go up but i think even Sunderland fans would admit it's hardly a given. Don't have to explain myself but to help you understand the concept i'm a season ticket holder at NUFC but occasionally watch saints on free weekends and have done since the age of sixteen, 35 years ago. Different league, different country, don't compete with each other so it's fine by me and i'll continue to do what i enjoy.
Sorry JS, although on reflection it may have sounded like it, I wasn’t having a go about the 2 clubs thing, just merely stating a fact that I don’t understand the concept. I couldn’t give a shit about any other club side, regardless of what country or league they play in. Supporting a football team to me is driven by a sense of belonging i.e. the club belongs to me because I’m from Paisley. It falls into the same category for me as not understanding people who don’t support their home town team (assuming they have one of course). Your allegiance to Newcastle is obvious. Out of nothing more than curiosity, what is your link with St. Mirren?

So, unless you've not got the support of all the fans, all of the time, then you're coat isn't on a shoogly nail? Nonsense.

That thread appears to suggest that a recent good result has temporarily got the boo boys off his back and that all it will take is another bad result for the flak to return.
So thanks for proving my point.
If JR doesn't get Sunderland promoted - and they are currently outside the automatic promotion spots - then his jacket is almost certainly on a shoogly nail.
He's at the biggest club in that division with by far and away the biggest budget. Anything less than promotion is failure.
The point I’m making is that it is (in my opinion) pointless to say if they don’t get promoted his job will be on the line. That’s just an obvious statement of fact. That doesn’t mean his coat is on s shoogly peg at the moment. Mainly because (again in my opinion) Sunderland will comfortably get promoted. Time will tell.

As some of the posters in that thread pointed out, he hasn't always had the full support of the Sunderland fans over the last couple of months. Could all turn again if they miss out on the ultimate goal of promotion.
So unless you’ve got the support of all of the fans, all of the time, then your coat is on a shoogly peg? Nonsense. Ross is rightly lauded by the majority of Sunderland fans. Saying the fans might turn on him if they don’t get promoted is a work of art in stating the obvious. It’s a bit will saying Rangers fans will turn on Gerrard if they don’t finish in the top 6. True but bloody unlikely. Sunderland will get promoted because they have s bloody good manager who is going to get them there.
By your own admission, as a Newcastle fan (never did understand the concept of supporting two football teams by the way) you are never going to say anything positive about Sunderland.

Currently outside automatic promotion places so his jacket most definitely is on a shaky nail.
Seems pretty popular here.

Jackson gives his absolute all, but he simply is not a natural finisher.
