1987 - Taxi up to one mile £0.80
2018 - Taxi up to one mile £3.50
1987 - Gate price - £2.50
2018 - Gate price - £22
Inflation Indicator 1987 to 2018 gives
Taxi £2.80 today
Football £8.20 today
Blimey. Was it really only £2.50 to get into the fitba in 87?

My customers are not getting ripped off. Our prices are fair.
Using the inflation indicator, our fares are where they should be compared to when I startit in 1987.
As for football admission prices.
Really no need to answer the above post. He summed it up perfectly.
OK. Let me ask you a question. I genuinely don’t know the answer to this question, so I could be giving you a perfect opportunity to prove your point.
In 1986, a taxi from my burds hoose in Foxbar Crescent, to my hoose in Blythswood Drive cost me exactly £1. How much would that fare cost me know?
Now, unfortunately the strength of my argument takes another hit here coz for the life of me I cannae remember how much it cost to get into the fitba in 1986, but surely it couldnae have been less than £5? I’m thinking therefore that the cost of getting into the fitba has increased about fourfold over that time. On that basis, for your argument to stack up on a like for like basis, that taxi needs to be less than £4 now. Maybe it is. Ive no idea.
Reveal all Shullster.

Well seeing who agreed and liked your post.
Just to clarify before I go.
Not once have I said Clubs should reduce prices without reducing costs first. I have said all Clubs should reduce prices after a 3 year window where in that time they can adjust budgets to suit.
For the same reason I wouldn't reduce my prices while my expenses are the same.
It has been explained many times so you and IOBS can sod off.
Thickos
But would you reduce your prices and your costs i.e. would you accept earning less from your taxi to be fair to your punters by giving them a better deal? Maybe make up the difference by getting a second job?
If the answer to that question is no, then why would you expect football clubs to do so?
I ask this question in spite of the inherent risk of unjustifiably being called a thick cnut.

Something to do with being a host nation.
No more than two host nations in any one group. So as soon as Germany were drawn with Netherlands, all other host nations (including us) were able to breathe a sigh of relief.
If you knew how the draw worked of course.
The whole ceremony including explanation of the draw was on the BBC red button.

Can't "force him"...................surely a managers job is to manage his players.............................
That is to encourage/persuade or any other term you like to be as fit as possible.
To remove a manager from this part of managing the players is utter deflection.
How do you know the manager didn’t do all of that to no avail?
Have you never managed someone that you regarded as unmanageable? Is it possible that at that time the person was unmanageable?
Regardless of whether they went on to better things or not.
I used to be a bit of a fat bassturt. Then I thought, this isn’t good for me. So I went to the gym. Got fit. Felt good about myself. Performed better. Nobody managed me to do that.
And just for the record...........yes, I’m back to being a fat bassturt again!

So, he's PROVING he's got a talent and is performing for another team.manager?
I'd imagine you didn't see him too many times to come to this verdict?
I was tipped about him before he joined us, many who seen him play were convinced he's got an eye for goal.
I agree wholeheartedly that he was highly thought of at Aberdeen and I was extremely pleased when we signed him.
Unfortunately he was utter garbage for us.
I did actually see him a few times (I won’t say I probably saw him many more times than you coz that would be childish - oh shit, I just did)
All joking aside, I do go to a reasonable amount of games a season and feel qualified to comment on Shankland’s time with us.
Fair play to the lad if he’s sorted himself out.

The hard time he got from our support............................Was totally deserved.
I fixed the end of your statement for you.
This obviously assumes that you think its ok to give a player a hard time for being fat, lazy and shite. Some might think not. That’s ok.
Shankland’s form this season does not make one iota of a difference to the fact he was garbage with us.

Indefinitely? Without any pay at all for a job which will require at least 20 to 30 hours a week?
I dont believe you.
Neither do I. In fact, I'd go as far as saying he possibly talking what is known in some circles as utter pish.

Aye but in fairness this time they are correct.
The schadenfreude of him ACTUALLY getting sent off for a combination of mistaken identity/nothing was magnificent though.
A beautiful example of how the “big boys” don’t get everything their own way when they’re not playing in their own little back yard.

Ooooh cant agree with that.
It's rarely a good idea to seek truth in the opinions of the majority.
"The masses are asses" is a bit strong I suppose but majority opinions have repeatedly shown themselves to be disastrously wrong throughout history.

And some don’t rate him based on what they have seen of his performances. In my opinion, Collum is too intent in making it the Willie Collum show .
A good referee tends not to be noticed much during a game, Collum is far too quick to flash cards and make puzzling decisions.Exactly this.
I have no real issue with Collum's general decision making and level of consistency, other than his apparent constant desire to make it all about him and his over zealous use of cards.

Thanks.
Away fans still getting severely ripped off.
We don't need that sort of scheme unless we are in lower leagues and very small capacities.
In fairness Shull you don't need any kind of away ticket, never mind a season ticket.
I don't think this product is directed at you or affects you in any way. Perhaps let the intended targets fight their own battles.
You are busy enough fighting the good fight on the home ticket prices.

Come on guys. Surely any idiot can see that the key figure here is not the number of likes, but instead your likes to posts ratio.
I would just like to point out that with my ratio of greater than 1:1, I am somewhat godlike in this department.
From this undeniable stat I am going to assume that I am the epitome of popularity on this forum and that everyone loves my contribution.
F Man secretly dreams of being me.

I love the way some folk are saying, it was only Israel or it was only Albania.
They were in our group for a reason you know. It wasn’t a random draw!

Whilst I will be there hoping for a win on Tuesday, we will still be alive with a draw.
A draw will mean we finish as the highest ranked second place team - on goal difference from Bulgaria.
One of the teams likely to win their group is Serbia - who surely have a good shout in normal qualifying.
If they make it then we would replace them in the Playoffs in 2020.
Added benefit is that we would stay in Group C and have another crack at a qualification spot in the next qualifying campaign :-)
That said - lets just win it!
Much as I like your thinking Southside, Serbia are in League C with us for a reason, so I suspect that they are probably as likely to qualify through the normal route as we are.
Like you say though, we won't be completely dead.
