Surely the transfer window would have been the time to offload Ayunga and Olusanya, both of whom are very far short of this level of football. On the plus side, Gogic is some player does the work of two men. Hope for much more from Scott. Fingers crossed.

I’m starting to agree about Ayunga, but I think Olusanya provides a fair bit of nuisance value and unpredictability. His pace is also a real weapon when he puts it to good use like he did last Wednesday. I’d be inclined to hang on to him.

  2. Well I thought that was a decent performance today and was good enough that we shouldn’t lose momentum from our recent performances.

The problem today was the age old St. Mirren problem of not having someone who can comfortably and regularly stick the ball in the back of the net. Thought our general play was very good though. Thought Mandron was fantastic today and also good performances from the likes of Gogic, Tanser, Elvis, CBM and Baccus. CBM’s corners caused Celtic all sorts of problems and we were unlucky not for scored from any of them.

Straight back on the horse next week. Beat Livi and we’re up and running again.

Could’ve done without those late goals for Dundee today though. Would’ve been ideal if they’d lost or even drawn.

Good to read, though jet lag might be a problem for him. I doubt he will start.

He's only coming from Qatar with a +3 hour time difference. Can't see jet lag being an issue. Especially if he came home on Saturday or Sunday.

Do you see a pattern with those results if it continues we are getting beat on Wednesday and winning  on Sunday would prefer other way around.

    Really, fair play to you.

    I absolutely would not.

I’ve not watched the game back on TV. We had some half decent chances but never really tested their keeper especially the first half.

What was the chance that Kwon had like on TV? As it looked good from the west stand.

It was a very good chance, as was Jamieson’s. There was another one in the first half which escapes me for the moment.

Rangers performance showed enough for me to believe that we’re picking up again

Yeah but for me the Rangers game only showed up the problem we all know we have. There have been plenty occasions where we’ve played fine, but just haven’t done the business in the final third, combined with giving away a soft goal or two.

Not a good move for us in my opinion.

He'll do well there, to our detriment.

Hmmm. I'm not convinced. This is my Curtis Main timeline...

    • Curtis Main is utter shite
    • Curtis Main is starting to look a bit better since Robinson took over
    • Curtis Main has been excellent this season
    • We have not missed Curtis Main this season
    • Curtis Main is not the answer to our current problems

I predict the best that Curtis Main will possibly be for Dundee (and I'm not totally convinced he will be), is the player we had last season. Don't think we need that player. Maybe Dundee do and you're right that he'll flourish there. I have my doubts tho.

I'm certainly not scared of him playing against us.

Please bookmark for the inevitable CM hat trick next time we play Dundee.

    From a reliable source…

Hearing we are closing in on Calum Waters from Morton for a small fee and a couple of loans going out the other way. Would be a solid signing IMO… backup for Tanser and allows Elvis to cover in Strain’s absence. Robbo apparently a big fan and he’s been a big part of M*rton’s revival in recent weeks. They’re willing to let him go as it will free up funds to keep Lewis Strapp till the end of the season. Good business all round.

Doesn't this come up as a joke rumour almost ever transfer window?

It would be daft to write them off though , they ran runaway league leader Falkirk close as well. Add the fact they have a couple of ex Buds who would love to put one over on us , plus the fact we have important players still missing, this is a potential banana skin !

Nah, if we were at their place on a plastic pitch I’d say definite banana skin potential, but at home I can’t see anything other than a comfortable victory.

Total Joke. Robinson has never given Grieve a real chance. We have been struggling for goals and he never got a look in. Yet we play Olusanya, who apart from about a decent 20 minutes, has been shocking !!!  And what about £200,00 McMenamin? Grieve is a far better player AND gave 100% every chance he got.  It is midfielders we need in ahead of any more strikers.....Stevie Wonder can see that ffs..... honestly.

Not sure I completely agree that Greive hasn’t had a chance.
Yes he’s only started 2 games this season but in another 14 games he’s been given between 20-45 minutes to show what he can do. Not to mention a few more last 20 appearances.
Other than the Hibs and Aberdeen games at the start of the season I don’t really remember him making much of an impact when he’s come on?

I like Greive, but I’m pretty sure we’ve seen the extent of his capabilities. He’s a decent young player and I think he’ll do well at United in the Championship. I’m not devastated that he’s going though.
