  1. We didn't play well today especially in the second half. So, you think, as the half wore on, well, not to worry maybe the sub/subs will shake things up a bit because the game really needs subs and you begin to contemplate who isn't playing well...? For me it was as clear as daylight - Newton needed to come off!

No, I must be wrong about that because there's not a lot of time left and - oh! here comes the substitution not before time...wit...!? Gowser off for Harkins??? Coudn't believe it!

Danny, you bring it on yirsel.

  2. great reading all the comments on today's game. Wish I had been there. I cant believe the last time we beat Dundee Utd at home as that mad midweek evening game in 2001. I remember it well. My friends Donald and Sandy came to watch it here with me and how they laughed as I tore off my Saints top and pulled open the window and threw it out, breaking my glasses in the process! when Gillies scored the winner I went nuts if truth be told!

Cant quite recall if the winner was the penalty or the great finish from McPhee's nod down.

Anyway, we are a better team now than then for sure and days like today make it all worth while.

Better beat Hearts on Sunday though....jeest to be on the safe side!

Gillies was there today picking the tickets out of the drum for the Xmas draw. The announcer said that Ricky scored against Utd in that last home win scoring a penalty and a late winner...and who scored against us that day? Yes, Thommo!

  3. Great victory today with the bookies over the moon!

Full marks to McGinn, Thommo, McGregor and yes...Cheesey played very well as did Goodwin despite his usual misdemeanour. Gowser gave his usual 100% but didn't have a great game as did Newton.

Sixth place is again within our grasp with two very winnable games coming up. Have a nice festive season everyone!

  4. So you want me to come on and talk shite about what we are going to do in a game when I think the opposite I have all ways spoke my mind if you don't like that put me on ignore.

Elvis, what's funny in all of this is, all those people who take you seriously. You have really tried to make it so obvious by some of your postings and they still don't see it. So, congratulations in keeping the wind-up going. clap.gifclap.gifclap.gif

  5. it's all just a politicians game, i will vohite no because there will be higher taxes to pay, the snp are fronted by a bufoon who's only way of debating with other parties is to slag them off then do his wee smug look and fake laugh, there is a lack of sufficient civil servants with the experience of running a country (it is the civil servants who do most of the running of the uk not any political party) a lot of businesses based in englandshire could possibly close there scottish branches because there will be no uk gov funding available anymore.

  6. Very good result but one I thought was on the cards as the Fake's result against a very poor ICT, flattered them.

I don't really think that Thommo's contribution is fully recognised. In nearly every game he wins 90% of the balls in the air when punted from his own half. Unfortunately, his fellow players are rarely in a postion to run on to his headers. Surely that is something DL must work on.

I thought DL should have substituted Kelly with 20 minutes to go. He was clearly suffering from the pace which lead to a drop in concentration and a poor first touch.

I was so disappointed in Goodwin's penalty miss. Remembering his spot kick in the cup game against Aberdeen I thought it was a banker. Anyway, I dont' know why players hit the ball low and not high. It's easier to dive with gravity than against it.

We're getting there. Still feel the team lacks structure. A win against DU next week will give us a tremendous boost but it ain't gonna be easy.
