  1. Who doesn't pay for it? I could name many a times the sponsor as you call them, have put money into the club.
Smisa do not pay to sponsor the stadium. It was called that after the previous sponsor pulled out. Yes Smisa pay in other ways. But not directly the stadium.
  2. Let's ditch that name and give it a name that we keptkeep  for the next 10 years, St Mirren Park or the Paisley Stadium ,at least that would let outsiders  know where St Mirren play.
    Dump Smisa stadium!
Got to agree. I will never call it any sponsors name. Especially one who doesn't pay for it. It's St.Mirren Park. Nothing else.

  3. Still brings a tear to the eye. Great memories of that day. Not so many of the night hic hic. Some hangover the next day. But still made it to Love St for the team going round the stadium. Never thought it would happen in my life time. Hopefully one year it will happen again. Soon I hope. Coys

  4. Eddie Devine is a wonderful cooncillor for the people of Renfrew District and it would be a better place to stay If more if them were like him
As much as I like Eddie as a Saints fan. As a Councillor don't think your statement is much cop John. But as I said I'm not a labour voter.

  5. I tried a quick Google.  Found nothing other than him and his family being bullied.

    ?
No I couldn't find anything either. Maybe TT could post a link with his findings.

  6. Another politician  on the Smisa board?
Eddie Devine is not on the board at SMISA as a politician. But as a Saints Fan who attends games home and away. Eddie is a great guy and will do his best for St.Mirren. Before anyone asks. No I'm not a Labour voter.

  7. St. Mirren have given him a pathway.
I would hope the offer of a 2-3 year extension is already on the table. These 12 month remaining situations we repeatedly get into is costing us a good selling fee.
I think a 3 year deal is very low risk, considering he is already on a reported smaller wage, he has just made his international debut and is only going to get better.
I agree. But sometimes it's the player that determines the length of his contract. I think he's a good player but with a lot to learn. He's a pest of a player. With a full pre season behind him he be a top player next season.

  8. Panic again when we had a bit of money. Why we couldn't carry on with Langfield and McManus til the end of the season i will never know. 2 coaches who the players respected and will no doubt have carried on the work ethic and who knows.
Instead now have squandered the compensation money and will have to pay SR out along with assistant IF they have the baws to admit they have got this wrong before it's too late.

No panic here. Said from day 1 it was a poor appointment. Nothing he's done so far has changed my mind. Get rid now.

  9. I'm usually all about giving a new manager time and a chance to prove himself, but Stephen Robinson is pushing even my beliefs now. He inherited a team with realistic top 6 dreams now the way we are playing we may end up in a relegation playoff. Yes it was a very close league but still no excuse. How much longer does he get.
An hour? Or is that to long
