According to PDE he is out for 4 weeks.
That's not nearly as bad as feared. Not great, but could certainly be a lot worse.

Did he know that their would be a vacancy at United coming up when he was approached by Saints? Or was there some other reason for him using a large barge pole to distance himself from our managers job?
I suspect he bottled out of following on from the huge success of Jack Ross. Easier to take a gig as successor to an absolute dud such as Laszlo.

Unless there was a financial benefit in sacking Stubbsy before the three months were up we would've been as well giving him until the end of November.
Sorry mate, but this is mince.

They're likeable guys and they played a role in us winning the league by a mile last season, but if the manager decides they're not good enough for the top league then so be it.
The problem was that Stubbs decided they weren't good enough then brought in replacements that were clearly much worse, likely resulting in the remaining players from last season realising he was clueless and had no eye for a player capable at this level. This
Agreed.
Absolutely that.

What difference does that make?I wondered if it had happened recently and might explain why he was without a club for a few months and has opted for a change of scene.
Evidently not.

Great signing, and slots in to an area where we have been sorely lacking. Delighted with this one.
Welcome to the Mighty Mirren Adam!

They probably weren't available to us during the window.
They were probably aiming higher than us and looking for more money back then. Moves didn't come off and they then lowered their sights.
Aye, quite possibly.
Still, the point stands that they are probably a bit higher in terms of standard than we might have expected as out of contract options.

Ferdinand, Jackson, and Hammill.
Most of us would have been quite happy to have seen these payers sign during the window, so to bring them in now looks to be very sound business.

Difficult to understand why Stubbs didn't begin with tried and tested professionals like this, and then starting looking for emerging talent in the sixth tier.
Not that difficult. He is evidently a clueless buffoon.

Agree about McPherson. Besides Mallan and Morgan the last player that could whip in a decent ball was Billy Stark!

Just demonstrates the absolute contempt that the authorities have for the clubs in Scotland outwith the bigots.

Where you seeing this Drew.
I heard it was all but done yesterday and believe it has been finalised today. No reason to question the source of the info. Announcement to follow shortly.

Jackson deal finalised, seemingly.

About Killing Eve, does it have, ahem, any Sapphic content?
Not so far (I've not finished the entire series yet). I'll update accordingly.

I thought the bodyguard was pish, unbelievable story line and I know he's from Elderslie but I'm afraid the lead actor just can't act.
By comparison, Killing Eve, which I've just finished watching on iPlayer, is an infinitely better bit of telly.
Agree on all counts.
Killing Eve is superb.
