  1. I've seen a couple of tweets today that suggest that the takeover of the club will be completed next week.

I'm just back from 2 weeks in the sun so totally out of the loop. Anyone else heard the same ?

So time to name the sources of the tweets.

One of the most annoying things about politicians in the last 15 years has been the tendency to trail news more in hope than in expectation so that people think something is happenning when in fact excuses are being made

Do you think that 10000 hours are using the same tactics as the takeover juggernaut encounters some swampy terrain?

  2. Sorry Stuart but that is an awful way to try to bring out humour.Give Sid dogs abuse but not at the expense of a cheap joke.As a responsible parent you really should know better.

Ian, it's just another example of the pish these losers are willing to wade through in order to keep themselves busy in the gap between Jeremy Kyle and Deal or no Deal.

The phrase "they know not what they do" has bnever been more apt.

  3. Take yourself and get to f**k. I may have picked it up wrong. It was my eight year old wee cousin who told me his mates got free tickets. Not being in school or having kids in school I didnt immediately think that the schools were off. It may have been the cubs or something like that. Who knows. Away and pick a fight with somebody else ya prick.

    Ouch.

  4. Where in my post did I suggest that I support one position over another?

I'm neither for nor against the CIC. I'm pretty sceptical, it has to be said, but I don't see the point in resorting to threatening people who disagree with me with a doing - regardless of how upsetting I might have found the way they might have spoken to me on an internet forum <_<

Who threatened anyone with a doing? Someone became aggressive and abusive and got called out on it. Not the same thing at all.

As I said, you jumped on my post but had no problem with Sonny telling people to "shut the f**k up". i dont know what basis you are being selective on, but you are being selective in who you (attempt) to come down on.

  5. I'm all for a bit of polarity in any debate, but when it gets to the stage of people all but challenging others to a square go, it seems that things have degenerated to the point that the 'debate' is hardly worth having.

So you have no problem with people posting the inflamatory pish that Sonny is guilty of, but have a problem when I take offence and stand up for myself, friends and family members.

    Or in otherwords

Pro CIC-say what you want and have at any detractors with everything you have-no holds are barred

CIC sceptics-watch yourselves, we cant have you rocking the boat and spoling our love-in.

  6. A load of schools were given free tickets. I always think the numbers a bit low but then again apart from the halfway line ish bits of the two long stands there is never a struggle for seats and you could pick your row. I reckon the black and white seats make it appear busier as well.

You know this for a fact? I would think schools would have a job distributing tickets while all the staff are on holiday>

  7. The folk that spout pish are the ones who do nothing about a situation. They just love sitting on the sidelines and let their bellies rumble because their heads are empty. They have nothing constructive or respectful to say. If there are facts that should be made known to the world then say it intelligently and coherently. Else shut the f**k up.

Oh, the irony, but I suppose you missed that

By your reasoning, if we have doubts about this project then we can only air them if we have absolute proof or an alternative strategy? What happened to the right to question? Surely it is up to the proposer of such a radical and hitherto untried (at this level) strategy to persuade the rest of us that he has the ability to make the whole thing hang together for the benefit of the club.

It seems to me that you can come up with a grandiose vision to deliver your own pet project of social and religious ministry, persuade others to part with their hard-earned cash to finance it in the belief (not, I hasten to add, the knowledge) that it will benefit the club they love and then walk away without a financial scratch or any drain on your well-protected resources when it all falls apart. Tell me how that is fair or how it is liable to fill enough people with the confidence to support it?

Anyway, in all seriousness, are you gonnae make me shut the f**k up?

  8. Of course, this all makes sense. As the hope that Yul/Animal and the others had of discrediting the CiC concept by criticising the business plan and process runs out, they switch to a REA-specific campaign of slander. Trying, on the way, to second guess the decisions of players like SMiSA and other partners/members, which has also proven to be an unsuccessful strategy as it their guesses have all been incorrect.

Once again though, having been unable to find any actual dirt on REA they instead make things up - just like the SMiSA/Kibble stories that had been touted and turned out to be false. The "Mag7ers" B&W Army's equivalent to the News Of The World, except worse.

Post after post based on hearsay, third-hand alleged information, poor research, fantasy, speculation and unfounded nonsense. Well done you guys for your well worked campaign, it has been so successful. You must be so proud.

I often wonder why political parties don't fight more of their campaigns on what they will do, how they are good and why you should vote for them. Instead they focus on why the others are shite, liars, incompetent and lead debaucherous lives. Kind of left wondering why these guys don't come straight out and say why the CiC is bad, offer a better solution and let us get on with the job of deciding.

Crawl back into your rancid little hovel and hatch another ill-constructed plan to bring the club and town to its knees, it'll be fun to watch you fail again.

This place is turning into dickophile heaven

Interesting though that Dicko should brandish his "I employ 400 peope " credentials as a way of impressing the natives and then seeks to portray himself as just another director when there are signs that the popular belief is that he has day to day control of the company.

Is it true that Maxi has a charge over St Mirren Football Club just now? If so, what is the exact purpose?

Have some of the loans and grants materialised already? If so, has any of that money been spent? If it has been spent then where has it gone?

Are payments already due on any loans? If so, have they all been met?

Can he not lend some of his own money to the CIC? there surely must be a way to do that without getting hit by the tax charges he mentioned at the public meetings.

Will the pitch be used as grazing or a paddock by his horsey friends?

Why ask for direct debit details when there are so many issues over share ownership to be overcome?

Some people are suggesting that the ultimate motive is for someone to get everyone else to pay for their do-gooder visions of a CIC that also happens to control a football club-not a lot is being done to dispel that notion now and the dwindling group of hangers-on who try to defend the CIC by attacking all who question it are now looking more and more like a bunch of wannabes that dream of a seat on the board and of pee-heeing with the allegedly rich and powerful of the parish (sic).

And finally, ktf. Do you fancy coming round the Tile to discuss "rancid little hovels" with myself, buddiecat, scottd and quite a few others who have serious doubts over 10000 hours intentions and ability to deliver? Or are you just another internet blowhard?

  9. Ah come on now, we keep hearing that there is no evidence of a majority of fans in support of the CIC. Surely a wee demo on Saturday would be an opportunity for the anti-CIC chaps to prove that there is a large number of fans against it.

It would seem that the anti-CIC mob don't want to be called on providing no salient argument against the CIC. It would also now appear that the anti-CIC brigade are in a big sulk about being called on demonstrating the size of their support.

The reality is that there has been very strong majority for the CIC at every public meeting and certainly at the SMiSA meetings too - a supporters organisation that has backed the CIC formally.

Surely then it is the ill-though out miscreant posts from anonymous individuals acting on their own personal interests / agenda trying to damage the CIC process that would merit a comment such as, "f**k off and let the rest decide for themselves based on the information available." :)

No one needs to join, that is where the choice lies...but to rally against something that is clearly so positive for our club is dispicable. There has been offer after offer for these miscreants to come forward and debate the issues they have with the CIC - nothing, nyada, hee-haw other than whinging about how it's not fair when they are called out their pish. :P

Hardly anyone is biting, It would appear that you have been found out.

Time for you to get back in the closet with Dickson, that felching wont take care of itself.

  10. Nonsense, the more posters on B&WArmy the better just as the more fans in the ground is what we all want. Some will take the huff now and then - that's life. The beauty of the forum is that you can just create a new alais and crack on with it, having made a bawz of yourself. :P

Take the huff? You launched a bitter and personal attack on Fraz using innuendo and unsubstantiated allegations. However you clearly think that is funny.

Nobody has done more fo disharmony and in-fighting on this board than you

  11. 1) So people are not allowed to be persuded by the arguments and explanations of the CIC representatives ?

    2) "Faux position" . Genius ! I'm so anti-CIC that I have signed up and went on a national radio station to explain its merits.

    3) My PM made no reference whatsoever to "running an online campaign against a consortium member". Where is this online campaign ? It doesn't exist. I criticised SG on a PM to you regarding some business activities outside of SMFC that caused upset to a guy I have known for 30+ years (who has nothing to do with SMFC). Online campaign ? More sweeping lies again.

Congratulations Jerry/Sid/John - you have won the day. That's it for me in the forum. It was nice meeting lots of old pals again, and making some new ones. Largely its been a lot of fun, but of late it has ceased to be so. I like a bit of arguing about issues - one of my first posts was basically an online punch-up with Chingford - but when constant lies are posted about me, then that's different. I don't need any of this sh*te anymore.

Maybe you are an acquired taste. I've had a gutful.

In my experience, an offer to discuss any differences of opnion face to face is usualy enough to shut the attention-seeking fantasist up for a while

  12. The cost of a pint each week is not the problem, the problem is somebody different from the safe hands of the existing board ( who have ran out of time) who have fail in my view to show 52% of the club is worth 2 million of other peoples money. If Gilmour and crew can't sell for what they want, they should do what house owners do, cut the asking price or stay where they are.

this is my big concern, the shareholding is never worth that kind of money. it's not even worth the residue of debt once the grants are in place, and what happens if all of that money is not forthcoming?

I reckon that the concept of only 300 members required is very precarious. If we have two rotten seasons on the park how many will say "stuff it". Quite a feckin few in my opinion.

And as for the school of thought that says we will be in exactly the same position if the CIC fails as we are in now, let me just point out that an administrator will be mostly concerned with getting the best deal for the major creditors and wont care a jot about the character of any bidders once the colour of their money is seen.

If the intial investment was at the market rate then I'd say that would be around £500,000 well spent and where do i sign, but 1.2 mil? I just dont see it working.

  13. I was at the POTY dinner last night and the chat about the CIC was frightening.

The amount of people that have a negative view based on shear apathy & ignorance was incredible. Season ticket holders who haven't been to any of the public meetings with nothing more to say than "it's pish, it'll no work, what's in it for him?"

If this is going to work then as many fans & members of the community need to be involved. When you've got nuggets like this it makes it difficult. It's almost as if they want it to fail just so they can say I told you so.

Those who have studied the art and science of communication generally agree that if a message is not accurately received then it is usually the fault of the sender rather than the recipient.

Stop lambasting people who dont support it, if the CIC cant get their message across then they need to work harder.

It's simply not wise to proceed with the minimum amount of members if the majority remain unconvinced.

  14. A man had just settled into his seat next to the window on the plane when another man sat down in the aisle seat and put his black Labrador Retriever in the middle seat next to the man.

The first man looked very quizzically at the dog and asked why the dog was allowed on the plane.

The second man explained that he was from the Police Drugs Enforcement Agency

and that the dog was a 'sniffing dog'.

'His name is Sniffer and he's the best there is. I'll show you once we get airborne, when I put him to work.'

The plane took off, and once it had levelled out, the Policeman said, 'Watch this.'

    He told Sniffer to 'search'.

Sniffer jumped down, walked along the aisle, and finally sat very purposefully next to a woman for several seconds. Sniffer then returned to his seat and put one paw on the policeman's arm.

The Policeman said, 'Good boy', and he turned to the man and said, 'That woman is in possession of marijuana, I'm making a note of her seat number and the authorities will apprehend her when we land.

'Gee, that's pretty good,' replied the first man.

Once again, the Policeman sent Sniffer to search the aisles.

The Lab sniffed about, sat down beside a man for a few seconds, returned to its seat,

and this time he placed two paws on the agent's arm.

The Policeman said, 'That man is carrying cocaine, so again, I'm making a note of his seat number for the police.'

'I like it !' said his seat mate..

The Policeman then told Sniffer to 'search' again.

Sniffer walked up and down the aisles for a little while, sat down for a moment, and then came racing back to the agent, jumped into the middle seat and proceeded to shit all over the place.

The first man was really disgusted by this behaviour and couldn't figure out how or why a well-trained dog would behave like that, so he asked the Policeman, 'What's going on?'

The Policeman nervously replied, 'He's just found a bomb.'

  15. The Anchor Bar has been closed for the past week with no signs of work going on in it.

Could it be Anchors away?

Also Soho has temporally lost it's licence for having under agers on the premises and traces of Coke in the Lavys.

I was in the anchor at 19:00 on a champions league wednesday 2 weeks ago.

save for the barman (who got a helluva shock when i walked in) i was alone

    nae punters nae pub

  16. And in each one of those businesses you'll get less service than those who pay on the day. Evidence?

Try getting compensation on a train season ticket for a terminated or delayed journey.

Try, as a timeshare owner, arguing for the same incentives that are offered to rack rate customers.

Try using your bus season ticket when your bus company goes out of business.

Not one company will give the slightest shite about you once you've parted with your cash and football is just the same. You may well get your guaranteed seat, but discounts? Not against Hamilton or St Johnstone. And is it really a discount if the guaranteed fixture that you paid for is moved to a Monday at 5pm when you can't get there?

You are a naive mug and you've shown your lack of credibility when you've compared me to St Sid....

Inadvertently, it woud appear that I have given you the perfect opportunity toprove that you are a monumental tosser.

How far would you have went if I had tried?

I shall feed this blobby beast no more.

  17. In any other business context having a season ticket would be seen as making you a mug rather than some kind of "superfan". Think about it, pre payment meter customers are massively over charged for the energy they use. Pre Payment mobile phones will always give you fewer phone calls, text messages or data downloads than those on a contract. In a business context why would a company feel the need to keep you happy when they already have your money? In a business context are they more likely to spend money attracting new customers, or on keeping their existing customers happy?

Being a season ticket holder isn't a badge of honour. It just means you're a more naive and gullible consumer.

    In other businesses

Pre-paid tickets get you cheaper better train seats

pre-paid holidays get you discounts and better choice

season tickets get you cheap bus travel

In a football sense, a season ticket makes sense because

All the games will be played

you get a guaranteed viewpoint from your chosen seat with your mates (assuming you have any)

you get a guaranteed discount and dont have to rely on us being consistently crap so that we cop for cheaper tickets in relegation showdowns

as for not knowing the quality of the product in advance, I roll up most weeks and pay on the day knowing full well we are likely to be rank.

Your post makes so little sense that I am led to suspect that you and Sid really are one and the same
