Paul can play several positions well and is always a solid performer. This is a terrible move as we cannot keep playing Flynn at right back as we need his energy up the park. Have you noticed how little we create at present? Out with Killie it’s pretty poor. The club should be tying down Paul McGinn as he is exceptional value for money and we need guys to play all over the park with the resources we have. A dreadful move in my opinion and one that shouldn’t have happened he should have been rewarded with an extension last year. Jim’s signings bar Foley haven’t been great albeit McCarthy looks the part. Also Please tell me we aren’t trying to sign the prolific Tony Watt?

I’ve emailed about a few things this year and have had nothing back. Do we have a set person I can email or call. Also trying to purchase a half season ticket online but I don’t see the option? I’m not local to park so was hoping to do it online. Also wanted to join 1877 but no email after spring enquiry and again recently . Any contact details would be much appreciated. Thank you as would info on purchasing a half season book.

Looked to be playing well for Kilmarnock yesterday. Fast and has good movement - maybe wasn’t a deadly striker but considering he played up front himself he did a decent job. Would be worth a deal in jan if Killie let him go. Certainly our play in the final third has been dismal so far so maybe a thought

First team since Dundee United 19 years ago to fail to take a single point in opening 8 away games. Worrying for us and this has to be addressed urgently . We should be pushing up the league and getting ahead of others as we’re not all bad but for some reason we’re in same position to last year and the boredom of watching us struggle every game is tiring

Those suggesting we could take 13 points or so are absolutely having a laugh. If we get 13 points I’ll be absolutely gobsmacked. We’re actually a tidy enough team but crucially we never really look like scoring and our away form is absolutely terrible. Sadly I predict a realistic 7 points.

went down to ticket office today and couldn’t get any tickets as they have sold out and sent some back??? I can’t work it out as obviously not many saints fans go to parkhead? Anyhow I was looking for 3 tickets but obviously now I can’t go. If anyone has a spare could you let me know ??

we need to sign a striker now as this lot look absolutely hopeless up front . Let’s put all our cash from the monthly spends and anything else into getting a guy in and pay his wages.

With the greatest respect to Ethan Musek was a far better player. I hope Ethan improves but if he was a 29 year old and not from our academy people wouldn’t be so forgiving.

What a humping we’re going to get in the opening 4 games. I can see is being -12 by end of August in goals with zero points. What a shambles and the board must be held accountable for this. Another total and utter mess. We can’t get players to sign for us early to enable them to bed in and form a shape we instead have 12 players at present for Saturday. Well unless these supposed new players are top drawer then I suspect we’re in trouble already.

Sorry for starting a new topic here but I feel it merits it. One week to go and we are possibly the most under prepared team in Scotland for taking on the competition this year. The more we go on the more I worry that maybe we won’t be signing the players we need to at least be competitive. I go every week like many on here home and away but I have absolutely no enthusiasm at this point as we will in our current state be beaten every week. Some players might arrive but he’ll need time to settle and get upto speed so again like last year it looks we will be playing catch up. Quite bored of all this to be fair

If we need money to find 5 new players then there is major problems. Surely we have cash to get players considering we have hardly anyone signed and the ones we do have are clearly very poor . I would have thought that if he is happy then let’s build our team around him let’s show some ambition and hope that we can have a good season. This is our chance to be better than a relegation candidate and keeping our best player is crucial. If we sell him then it speaks volumes about the situation we are in.

Macron are indeed good but I suspect if we got an Adidas kit again and training gear with the club badge it would put sell anything. What is clear tho is that Joma have been quite poor but as we know it’s only a kit

We lacked a professionalism on Sunday. The fact they are a league below and have signed quite a lot of lower league younger players led me to believe that whilst it would be tight that we would win. The performance and application stunk and this would not be tolerated at any premier league club. I am sure Jim will be the same and that we now go all out to ensure we qualify as a best runner up. This surely to goodness is something we are capable of when u look at the opponents we have. That said we said the same last year and we couldn’t beat Spartans or Queen’s Park

The new strip is poor. I have seen it up close in real life and it’s still v poor. It’s a stupid idea to have a two stripes and a sponsor making it look ridiculous. The away top is shocking and clearly targeted at kids which is fair enough. I’d just like a regular black and white kit like the 2013 one maybe with a collar and made by a decent manufacturer. No harm to Joma but the gear is second rate compared to Adidas, Nike and Macron. It’s also available at half the price from most online kit stockists. Anyhow I haven’t bought a kit since the 2013 but would if we got a cracker . Please next year off the peg Adidas with our badge and sponsor.

We need 6 players capable of coming into the starting 11. I genuinely can’t see how we could go into the top flight so underprepared. We let 12 go and have signed 2 so let’s hope we get quality and fast

It’s absolutely shocking that we let McGinn and Wank Broadfoot go with no real replacements signed. Ok Lee Hodgson but if any of the back 4 get injured were really toiling. Foley at centre half is all well and good but he’s got to be in midfield. Macgennis our Flynn out with McKenzie never fit and McAllister also struggling it doesn’t look good. Yes we have loads of strikers but not much cover elsewhere
