  1. We've just signed a player who was one of the top scorers in Danish football, and was signed by an English premiership team for £2 million and people have written the guy off as "pish" already.
Imagine we signed a striker for a fee, who couldn't get near the first XI of an English division one team.
The response would put some of the meltdowns witnessed on here in the past few days to shame.

    .

Plus Nelson spent the first half of the season at Darlington. Imagine the reaction if we'd paid money for someone who'd been playing for them.

Had Dundee signed these guys from, say, Portsmouth then no one would be that bothered - but because it's Sunderland it's somehow treachery from Ross.

How do you they were not offered to us. emoji849.png

This. The amount of folk I've seen whining about Ross shafting us again by giving these guys to Sunderland is incredible. How do we know they weren't offered to us and we said no? Maybe Kearney doesn't rate them or maybe we can't afford them.

Who knows, perhaps Ross has done us a favour by deliberately giving Dundee a couple of duds  And if we had sign them they same folk moaning now would probably have been moaning about us signing players with sod all experience.

I'm not defending our transfer dealings and lack of signings today by any means, but there's plenty to be critical of without making stuff up.

Since Graeme Souness became Manager name the 11 Goalkeepers (Not outfield players filling in) of 11 different nationalities to play for Rangers 1st team, (before they died) ?

    Woods (English)

    McGregor (Scottish)

    Klos (German)

    Waterreus (Dutch)

    Charbonnier (French)

    Dibble (Welsh)

    Carroll (Northern Irish)

Will leave someone else to get the other four! Two of them I saw on Soccerbase when I was trying to check someone's nationality so won't post them as that's cheating. There's also nationality duplicates like Maxwell, Goram etc.

  4. Seem to be a few suggestions Kellerman may go back to Aldershot. Not sure how that works with him having played for us and Fylde - unless there's different rules for England or non-league clubs, or the fact he's going back to a club he's played at before in the last 12 months.

  5. A quick look at that site shows there's petitions calling for this at a number of clubs north and south of the border. The text is pretty much identical so I'm guessing it's a concerted effort to get some action.

The idea is one worth exploring, however I wonder how many of the clubs have actually been asked directly whether they would consider getting rid of single use plastics? Would have thought that was a far better idea, and far more likely to get some success, than yet another online petition.

I think the difficulty with Heaton's version of events is that he wasnt even getting a game under Stubbs, despite costing a fee and being supposedly a high earner. Even Kpekewa got a game ahead of him!

Was he not injured early on - or was that after Stubbs left?

  7. Didn't do enough to win but probably didn't deserve to lose.

We created very little. Their goalie had sod all to do and we were reluctant to shoot - weird considering our goal last week came from a shot that was parried.

Only one team looked like scoring in the last 20 minutes or so and it wasn't us. It also highlights just how weak our options are from the bench.

  8. Since Hammill signed, we have scored nine goals. He has scored four of them and provided assists for two others for Jones and Paul McGinn. Of the other three, he wasn't on the park for one, one was a penalty against Dundee (was it from his pass Jackson got fouled?) and the other was Stephen McGinn against Hamilton, which started off from Hammill's corner.

Sure, he may drift in and out of games but if he was producing every week then he'd be nowhere near a club like ours. He's not as good as Morgan was for us last season but he's the nearest thing we have to a match winner and it would be a huge blow if he left in January.
