It's one of the few times someone's hit the target this season.

Neither do I . Period.

Great result but in all honesty two very poor teams on show, no real quality going by the highlights. We are very guilty of trying to be too fancy when the simple stuff would be more effective. In saying that both Kelly and mallan showed up well. A 4-1 win is always good irrespective of performance and hopefully a bit of a confidence booster. By god we need it

Would have loved to have been there, sounds like a great night. As for the Directors, it's probably wise that none of them showed up given the level of bad feeling towards them at present. It might just have deflected the attention away from the celebrations of the evening and caused a bad atmosphere. The Anglo Scottish cup win brings back great memories, going on the cottage arms bus, getting drenched at Ashton gate, the police dogs which were unnecessary, oh and the 2-0 win and the celebrations at love street in the return leg. Happy days indeed

We all knew deep down when we saw gregg wylde modelling a strip designed for stoned convicts that this wasn't going to end well. Sometimes superstition bears fruit, such as those black socks, oh and yellow in a Saint Mirren strip? Someone needs to Pish in every corner of the pitch( copyright Barry fry) to exorcise the demons in our stadium. Then and only then will we improve, Mark my words.

Teal doesnt think there was much in it!! Jesus wept, obviously he's under pressure but he's just not the man.

There are no words to describe this debacle. Nothing but nothing to try and cling on to for a ray of hope. They say that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, well we must be indestructible after this is over.

Oh dear! My blind optimism is starting up again. Will miss the first half on bt sport due to work but anticipating coming in to a 2-0 half time scoreline( to us I might add) followed by another goal in the second half to keep our hopes alive. I really need my head examined but I can't help it.
I have a good feeling about tonight, what a lonely place to be.

Danny Lennon will have learned a great deal from his time with us and will no doubt do well with Alloa as a result. He is a very humble man who understands what a club means to it's supporters. If we could appoint someone like him but with a better grip on the transfer Market we wouldn't be far off.

Pozbaird is very lucky to have had a handful of semis. I hope they were his own.

As a saints fan just to witness a winning team, irrespective of what division we are in, would be a novelty. I've never actually been at a game that sealed our relegation as I left before any of that happened so I'm truly sorry for anyone who sits through that. On to next season and if we start to win on a regular basis the crowds will improve and the fans will be happy. A winning team is more inspiring and important to supporters than the league we happen to be in at the time. Maybe I'm talking shite trying to make myself feel better but I love my club and to see it in the state its in two years after the euphoria of the cup win is really really sad.

We were favourites for relegation from the championship fka the first division yet we won it scoring a barrowload on the way. With a manager who knows the Market and a club structure suited to our needs then there is no reason we can't come back up. Someone in the mould of John Hughes who has had his critics but he clearly knows how to blend players together. The guy barraclough at Motherwell has worked miracles when they looked doomed . There must be someone out there. I'm just worried that when Teale goes we will continue our obsession of promoting from within and appoint Longwell who has done wonders with the younger lads but won't have enough experience for a club of our size and expectation. We could come back from this a lot stronger and wiser but only if the right people have learned the right lessons.

I actually give as much of a f**k as the players now. This is a sad day for our once proud club

Camera in saints dressing room catches teale wandering about with his hands in his pockets and head down. A truly inspiring manager when youre up against it. Absolutely soul destroying
-
Change should have been made after first goal and just go for it. No change. Result? Another goal conceded. Every single player is terrified of the ball and just as I write it's 3-0. This could be six

Now we're resorted to diving, jeeesus finish the season now. What an utterly hopeless heartless bunch we are.
-
Lets hoof it up to Arquin who cant win a header, or play it to his feet when he doesn't understand the offside rule. Magic
-
Lazy lazy defending. Fighting for our lives? Not tonight we're not.

I was lucky enough as a wee boy to meet them backstage as my Dad was compering their show in Edinburgh. I recall that Rikki Fulton was pleasant and Jack Milroy was an absolute gentleman and made a real fuss of me and my Brother. This would have been around 1970ish and I can still remember it as if it was yesterday. On stage they transmitted such a warmth which seemed effortless and the audience absolutely loved them.

If we were in Motherwell or Ross county's position would we be confident of avoiding relegation? Most buddies fans would be bricking it, knowing we could blow it. Clutching at straws I know but one defeat could wobble them, we need to take advantage of that and play without fear of losing as at this point we have nothing left to lose. We can play decent football at times, now its time to shoot from anywhere. Charlie Adam on loan again might help.

We clearly carry little threat up front. It's looking likely that we will have to take the game to our opponents in the forthcoming matches which doesn't suit us. I thought big goody had a really good game but will that same formation be offensive enough when we need to score?
If young Sadlier gets another start and scores then knows? It was also good to see some snarling from our young midfield, fighting for every ball. The gulf in class told in the end but you can't ask for more than 100% commitment and that's exactly what the boys gave us tonight.
-
Positive so far, John McGinn is one gifted player. Has Arquin ever won a header in his life? Yellow for Goodwin is a worry. Up until then he was protecting the defence really well. We are still well in this and who knows, a wee bit of luck and we could win it. I'm sitting here with my lucky league cup final scarf and my daughters stripey St Mirren hat on, the least they can do is score and itll be worth looking like a diddy.

2 ex Celtic players as pundits. Nice balance as usual. I really really hope we gub them and shut them up. Not that I'm annoyed or anything
-
Christ knows why, but I'm really looking forward to tonight's game. It's understandable that most people have us beaten before a ball is kicked, but if we approach it like a must win game and go at them at every opportunity then you never know. I would rather see us lose by a barrowload playing with passion and pride, rather than going for damage limitation and having our tummy tickled. These guys must have some professional and personal pride to show that it matters to them. In my own job I made an absolute howler of a mistake this week and I couldn't wait to get back in to address it and make sure it doesn't happen again. I didnt feel like chucking it just because I fkd up, I wanted to sort it because of my professional pride and the effect it had on others. I can't be unique in my approach to my job and I think that's what makes some of our defeats hard to take when you see young guys appearing to not give a hoot about those who really care about the club. Well, tonight's their chance.
