Remember it was sung by some young lassie who's name escapes me. I actually quite liked hearing it before games( my taste in music has always been a bit questionable) brings back another memory of playing hibs at love street when jackie McNamara senior got sent off in the first half then at half time the stadium announcer suggested playing mcnamaras band(banned) which gave us all a chuckle. Does anyone else remember this or maybe I dreamt it!

Just watched the highlights and if Goodwin is one of our better players then we really are goosed. Pointing and blaming others when things go against you is a bad mix when you are in the poop. We need players who will take responsibility in a time of crisis. We don't appear to have that so therefore there is no chance of having any fight in the team. Our leaders are not leading on and off park it would seem. So sad to see us whimper our way down to the championship. These professionals should be playing for personal pride at least, that should be a given in every game not just in a relegation battle. We need players who hate losing, not ones who are used to it and accept it without as much as a thought to what it really means to them, us and the club in general.

Absolutely fantastic footage, thank you. Had a lump in my throat a few times watching that. The quality of the man shone through. A true St Mirren legend.

Or bluenock

My good lady was born and bred there. The original name was Doire with a funny wee thing over one of the letters. It means oak grove. The London bit was added when the labour to build the city were brought over from ....er.....London. Having spent quite a bit of time there it is clearly really important to both communities to retain the name they choose. Another description I like is that it's the only city in the world with six silent letters! I think they should upset everyone and call it greenock

The follow up is.. I gave her a lovebite - she farted and flew out the windae...
What a let down.
As for the game, to say it's huge is an understatement. Once the split happens there will be a number of strange results, do we have the bottle to navigate our way through this? In the past we have risen to the occasion when needed and Saturday will tell us a lot about the players mentality.
Ever the optimist I think it's in our DNA now to avoid relegation by the skin of our teeth as we've been here so many times in recent years and survived. Plastic pitch or not we must go for the three points no messing about.

So sad to convey this news to fellow Buddies, but lifelong St Mirren fan Alan "Feezie" McPhee died yesterday in Jersey General Hospital. Feezie was a committed Saints fan and a gem of a man. Any time we met we would enthusiastically discuss all things St Mirren and I always left feeling refreshed and somewhat melancholy for the old days of going to games regularly. In spite of distance Feezie would get to as many games as he could and loved his team. We did not meet often enough and that is my loss. He will be sorely missed by his many friends in Jersey and has gone too young. Please take a moment out of your day to think of him and his family whom many on here will know well I'm sure. May he rest in peace

Has he actually signed yet?

This is likely to be a very physical encounter which is a worry with such a lightweight midfield. Osbourne looks like can mix it but ends up injured. John McGinn can hold his own but that seems to be about it. Not confident about this one at all.

We have been guilty of being lacking in streetwiseness(?) perhaps his experience will help others around him and we won't be quite as soft. We have for a long time suffered from having our tummy tickled far too often. Obviously it was only a kick about against new York but he looked like he knew what he was doing.

Not often I'm upset to see a player leave, but this comes just when somebody at last sees where kennys best position is but we won't get the benefit. Good luck to him but I'm genuinely gutted. Who carries a goal threat now? Obviously God is still capable but yet again we look like we are leaning too heavily on him which at his age is bound to result in more risk of injury.

L.O. F. U. N. E. X?

Perhaps the decision for him to move on has already been made in private in which case he couldn't give a monkeys who it bothers. Scottish football will always be blighted by dafties who do this kind of thing. Ho hum. In a football sense he can produce the goods when he's in the mood and that's the problem. A team in our position cannot afford to carry players who only perform "when they're in the mood".

Good move, he's probably only going to be a fringe player now anyway.

I say I say I say I say I say

It's his first chance to play in the top flight

Young Mallon has great ability, his rumbustious style to win the ball is really exciting to watch. Not only winning the ball but looking to play an intelligent pass once has gained possession. He has a great future if looked after properly

If we don't appeal then it's a sad day for all of football. The ref didnt need to send Arquin off on the 4th officials say so. It's still his decision, no different from consulting with a linesman and giving his original decision. He shat it and protected himself. Trial by television is ruining the game irrespective of whether or not the decisions fall in our favour. It would seem that refs, especially in our games, would prefer to give a red card and have it rescinded than be accused of having missed something, thus making the sport now all about them and no longer about the nail biting relegation battle our ten men have just won in the most dramatic way, which is what the spotlight should be on.

Listening to GT and the way he goes about his business, he doesn't come across as someone who will not be part of a new regime. Assuming he knows more than most does this suggest that he will be pointed manager on a permanent basis once the sale is complete? Not the worst outcome.
-
So, tell us. Is the club being sold weekly or weakly? We need to know now!
-
It would appear that the players are all busting a gut for GT. To go to Dingwall and win with ten men is an outstanding result especially since Ross County are so close to us in the league. We certainly showed some bottle, something the players have been accused of lacking recently. If we continue to do well against the teams around us we should be fine. One swallow doesn't make a pint of milk but maybe, just maybe, GT is the man if he's given time.

Who's gonna come forth?

You would need a few shorts to watch him. Coos erse and banjo spring to mind

Just returned from Feezys funeral. I have never seen as many people at a funeral in my life. His family will be releasing 57 black and White balloons in his memory this afternoon. He was given a fitting tribute so fully deserving of a very popular man. Words can never convey the sentiment felt at these times but when it's one of your own it's hard to take. Feezy will be so sorely missed.
