  1. Fantastic to watch again. Scanlon scoring against Clydebank in the cup game brought back great memories of going to kilbowie, which if I'm correct, was the first all seater stadium in Britain. Funny thing is that every time I watch the highlights on the video I'm drawn to the crowd behind the goal and a guy in a light brown jacket with the longest arms in the world, putting them aloft and clapping when we score. I think I might need some sort of help. There is no doubt a syndromie-like name for what I have.

  2. Every game is a massive game at the moment. That's what happens when you go on a good run. No meaningless games, everything to play for and having hopes and dreams. Tonight's game will be tricky, no doubt about that. Thank god we're not adopting a Billy big time approach.as previously stated by another poster, tonight's game will be all about attitude. Get it right and we could put on a show. Who wouldnt want another day out like the 17th march?

  3. I haven't studied qos cup record over the last few years but I suspect it's pretty good, especially at home. Like others on here I have witnessed my fair share of gut wrenching defeats to lower league opposition, more often when we adopt the " this is easy" approach. The replay wont be a walk in the park either. Another game undefeated in spite of losing our most influential player has to be good. We hold no divine right to beat so called weaker teams and maybe the players need to be reminded of that. Danny frequently praises the players for their work ethic. It sounds like we came up against a team with similar values which is what cup ties are generally about. We are still in it, many teams fans will be wishing they still were also.

  4. Yeah I had heard that we used to sing that, when was it? 60/70s?

You'll never walk alone was sung with gusto in the late 70s and early 80s. I used to love singing it and I was saddened when I found we had dropped it from our repertoire. Another oldie was the one sung to the tune of hey Jude. A comprehensive Scottish cup win against airdrie at Broomfield sticks in my memory where that song reverberated around the ground which had a cracking atmosphere ( 5-0 I think I'm sure Billy stark ran riot although I might have dreamt it)

  5. Also think that the other match officials have to take some responsibility in the decision making. It did make me laugh to see them walk behind collum, watch him roll/throw/kick the ball then stand around and mutter. Then do it again and again. They didn't appear to offer any real input or participate in the farcical roll/throw/kick game. Maybe it was Collums ball and he wouldn't let them play with it. Maybe that's what they were muttering about.

  6. Putting aside yesterday's debate, the attitude of all the players after losing to united was first class. There was only going to be one outcome if the game continued and that was a comprehensive win for us. County did have a couple of clear cut chances but hey, how many times have we been in that position? Also really enjoyed Lee mairs interview on teuchtervision. The guys attitude is fantastic and we are truly fortunate if he is an example of what we have in the dressing room

  7. Hate to say this but it was the right decision, he has to consider the possibity of injury when a pass falls short which happened a number of times. If one of our boys had been injured as a result of a ball being held up in the conditions then he would have been slaughtered anyway.a poor ref he may be but he has to take then safest route. Oh and wee John mcginns pass was world class for the second goal.

  8. Ridiculously poor preparation from commonwealth games committee and the sfa. Surely with proper planning this could have been sorted long before now. The historical incentive to reach hampden on cup final day has been removed.the ticket allocation fiasco is bad enough when one of the bigot brothers are involved, can you imagine how arrogant they will be if one of them reaches a stage where it's on their own patch?

If they really wanted true neutrality then why not hire murrayfield? It has been used before for football and easily meets the requirements for semi finals and final. This is another opportunity to line the coffers of two clubs who yet again mask their objective with the usual " any team using our facilities would be most welcome" aye right.

  9. Just watched the highlights and it is clear that kello, while he has a good reputation, needs game time as his postioning and decision making was a tad slow which is all it takes to cost you at this level. It's easy to be hard on the team but to have a goalie not only making his debut, but clearly not having a great deal of time to prepare with the defence only served to make it a difficult day from the off. Lastly, some of the personal stuff on here when we lose is cringeworthy at best. I find a lot of posts on here usually very interesting and thought provoking, still others highly entertaining. But sometimes, like today it's just juvenile and does nothing for a forum. For guys like me who have lived away for a long time it really is a lifeline to hear peoples honest opinions on the team, tactics, gossip etc. When it stoops to vile abuse then its tempting to chuck it. Bit hey, I've nowhere else to go and I love my team

  10. What a load of bollocks, the team was needing changed at in first half when UNT were running a mock with us. The formation wasn't working. As usual DL didn't have a plan B. Don't need to be a coach to or manager to see that. They made a change when we were already getting humped. DL's time is well and truly up.

    You missed a "C"

  11. As has been said already to make three substitutions ( which is a big chunk of the team) ad none of them a striker when your getting pumped is,at best, very strange. Danny has been righty commended for his recent team selections, but yet again when he's under pressure his decision making is baffling. That, I thinks his biggest blind spot. Now as for next week his team selection will be very interesting.
