  1. Speaks volumes for recognising that we might be getting a wee bit of momentum in the league, and I for one was more than a bit apprehensive about Saturday with the prospect of Cornell coming back in and spreading nervousness through the team. In saying that I've never seen kello play but he must be rated better than Cornell otherwise he wouldn't have been signed. This guy has a point to prove and we have an unbeaten run to maintain. Excellent combination! Roll on saturday

  2. Methinks one or two might be taking his aricle a bit too seriously. I always enjoy hearing ex players talk about their time with us . If it happens to be factually inaccurate then who cares. I thought it was quite humourous and reflected his character perfectly. By his own admission he doesn't want to retire so it was a wee chance to bum himself up a bit. Good on him i say. Jimmy bone will always be one of my all time favourites. A man who wore his heart on his sleeve and put his head on the line every game. I wish we had more like him today, not just at saints but in the game in general

  3. I very seldom respond in a personal way to posts on here. However I feel the need to respond to Stuart dicksons post regarding his poor fathers plight in the final years of his life. It must have been painful to write, I certainly found it painful and moving to read. At the the risk of sounding patronising, Stuart and his family have clearly been through hell and I just wanted to acknowledge that. I know it's just an Internet forum and we are very unlikely to meet, but my god sometimes we need to just stop and really read and feel what someone is writing. I never met your dad Stuart but he would be a very proud man indeed to see his son honouring his life. Perhaps your experience will lighten someone else's load on here. God bless you buddie

  4. After today's results Danny has probably got himself a further stay of execution irrespective of the result this Monday. Whether that's a good or bad thing is up for debate. I met a fellow st Mirren fan at work yesterday and he hopes we get pumped on Monday to get rid of Lennon. I cannot subscribe to that attitude however bad we appear. I have never and will never want us to lose no matter the circumstances. Two dyed in the wool buddies arguing in a jersey street! I am masochistically optimistic about Monday night. Will I ever learn

  5. Ok it's time to let my superstitious side show. We should never have allowed yellow to feature on our strip. As soon as I saw that I knew were in for a hard season. It just doesn't belong on a saints strip. I know yellow features on our original crest but am I alone in feeling like this? Wrong thread maybe, but it might show that it's not all Dannys fault! If we lose on Monday and Danny cites the strips as contributing to the result then I'll know I'm on to something!

  6. Having watched that interview I must admit to having a wee lump in my throat for a man who looks and sounds dreadful. I honestly believe that he has loved his time with us and perhaps he would have been a better manager for us in the 1st division. However, we are not a 1st division side( not yet anyway) Danny clearly cares deeply about the present situation but seems to lack the expertise to turn things around. He has never been the most eloquent of speakers but it is painful to hear him struggle to complete a meaningful sentence. Danny may have the potential to become a good manager but it's not today, nor anytime soon by the looks of things. Here's a curveball, appoint a new manager with appropriate experience and offer Danny the no 2 job

  7. Great to hear he did well but I still think Danny asked too much of a young inexperienced keeper. It smelled a bit of desperation. There appears to be more pressing issues than who is our best keeper. If we had taken a real doing then we would have been left with two keepers with their confidence shot. Jim Goodwin is the captain and needs to take more responsibility rather than blaming those around him.

  8. hey, that's coming from the guy who predicted we'd be five nil up at half time :lol:lol:lol ................then forgets he was shagging Lennon after we won the cup and has now pissed on him at every opportunity.

No need for sorry, short memory, if, in fact , he has a memory.

Not saying questions cannot be asked but the Olga Corbett flip is astounding.

    Is she Ronnie's sister?

  9. There has been a number of people on here, myself included, who have made lighthearted comments about Danny referring to himself in the third person. However Im really beginning to think that he is trying to detach himself from responsibility when he does this. That asks questions regarding his mental and emotional state. Look at the last few saints managers and they all appear to have lost the plot at some point towards the end of their tenure. It would seem the same thing is happening to poor Danny. Time to get help wee man and surrender the reins before it's too late. I personally hate to see anyone become unwell through the stress of work.

  10. I am no Danny Lennon hater but I honestly cannot see how he can get us out of this mess. His interviews are now more embarrassing than ever.his team selections and substitutions only he can explain. Why drop McLean when he scored against thistle? We need an injection of pace so he leaves caprice on the bench. He includes mair who clearly has a huge point to prove but leaves him on the bench. Danny is now consistent in his inadequacy so no matter how hard he tries to save his job he's not up to the task.

I also think he suffers from believing we can play the beautiful game in a beautiful way but how much more proof does he need? I tried to keep an open mind when we signed the likes of harkins. Oh how we need an abercrombie type of player who will snarl and fight for every ball when the chips are down. I've said it before but we are far too nice a team for a fight. We dont seem to have those types of players. Look at our midfielders and tell me one you would want beside you in a scrap.
