Cheltenham Festival kicks off today. Of course horse racing isn't everybody's tasse de thé, but Cheltenham usually provides a great spectacle for racing fans with most of the country's (and Ireland's) top quality national hunt horses taking part.
Tricky for punters though, short odds certainties don't always do the business on the day. No "tip-of-the-day" from me today, nothing leaps of the page.
Any tips ?

Is that Mahrez at the back on his mobile to Leicester?
I thought that lad might have been Paul Kinnaird phoning his bookie.

I worked there too.
The industrial relations problems at Linwood were caused by both management and the unions whenever it suited them.
IMO the biggest problem at Linwood was the product. Poorly designed cars, mainly low spec and rotten build quality. I couldn't understand anybody wanting to buy one.

He's up north on loan, we haven't "lost" him.

30 minutes played, Jay Henderson playing a blinder so far.
Dead ball deliveries have been a real threat.

IMO the Dundee United fixture is a must-win if we have any hope of staying in the top-six. As are our fixtures against Livingston and Killie. I don't expect any points from the other two fixtures.

Ideal result for us at Livingston.

Perhaps the gripe should not be about his personal twatter account but his inability to control the club finances since he took charge of our club.
Has he not overseen the biggest annual financial loss since the 90s?
Surely that is more concerning that liking some random tweet on the internet?
One is a consequence of a business/ sport decision that could work in our favour. All business decisions are a gamble.
The other is an idiotic, immature misjudgement that makes our chairman (and as a direct consequence, our club) appear petty and foolish. Having previously been reprimanded for a similar incident it is scarcely believable that he didn't learn his lesson. Our chairman has become a liability.

As St Mirren's chairman John Needham really needs to understand that anything remotely controversial that he posts on his social media accounts, no matter how flippant his intentions might be, will explode in his face. That is a huge negative against our club. Journalists are not our friends !! They are only interested in sensationalism and they will take every opportunity to print any shite that will heighten their profile and sell newspapers for their employers. And any scatterbrained social media posts critical of either of the OF will attract negative attention. Quite honestly I think this is a spectacular own goal by our chairman. Make that another spectacular own goal by him !! Surely he should have learned from the first one ??
Yes, this is a potential resignation issue IMO.

They'd picked up recently mate, only lost 1 from the previous 5 league games and Brighton, who I rate highly, have had a wee wobble.
Ach, just thought at 7/2 they were worth a wee punt.
Good on you. My post was intended to be positive and supportive. Just the choice I would have made myself. Useless unfortunately. Shit happens, eh ?

Eddie Smith.
Celtic-supporting referee and brother-in-law of Phil O'Donnell. Awarded Celtic a direct free kick 20 yards out when the Celtic player (Nakamura ?) had blatantly been the offender. The Japanese player scored from the resultant kick and we were robbed 0-1.
Smith was 100% a cheat that should never have been allowed to referee another football match.

Tomorrow may be my final day as a Radio 2 listener. TB doing SOTS between 6.00am and 8.00am and Liza Tarbuck in the evening are virtually all that's left on that station for me.
Zoe Ball, FFS!!
Scott Mills, a f*cking personality void.
Has anybody got any suggestions for a radio station that might appeal to an aged, intolerant, commercial-hating moron like me ?
-
I can't believe we're still debating this.
Old news. Red card awarded and St Johnstone realise an appeal would be chucked out. Regardless of the rights or wrongs, the situation has been settled and won't be revisited.
Can we move on ?
Please.

In terms of top 6 ambitions, 1-1 is a better result for us than it is for St Johnstone. Certainly not a disaster.

Every day is a school day. Or maybe I'm just an ignoramus.
Thank you, I'll find an opportunity to squeeze that one in somewhere.

Just wondering, does anyone know what Elvis is predicting for this one ?

You did mention a white car. Easily seen as inferring it was my recent purchase you were referring to.
Conclusion ?
Jumped to ?

Who said it was new?
Who said I was referring to any of your cars ?

Buying a brand new car that's a French or Italian marque is a first class demonstration of how to pish large amounts of money away on depreciation. Of course, If the car is white you may get a much better quality vehicle that will actually appreciate in value while you own it.
