Yesterday's Hero starring Ian McShane as a thinly disguised George Best.

You won't see many goals at the pictures 😜
So you've never seen Escape To Victory then ?

This is a hugely important game for us if we're serious about a top-six finish. Three points on Saturday will have us 9 points clear of St Johnstone with only 6 games each remaining before the split, pretty much knocking them out of contention. We would then have to finish above only one from Hibs, Aberdeen or Livingston after 33 games to guarantee top-six. Surely thats achievable ??

Why should we be happy, we've only seen 26 goals this season, fewer than 2 per game - the lowest in the Premiership. Aberdeen fans have seen 44, almost 3.5 per game. Hearts 51, almost 4 per game.
We're not being entertained - I'll be going to the pictures instead next season !!

As if I would be acquainted with anyone who earned his living as a lowly security guard. Minicab driver level.
How dare you.

Our last two league games (Hibs and Motherwell) could have gone either way. Both were winnable but both finished in one goal defeats. Have we just run out of luck or are we on the slide ? Tomorrow's game has now become a must-win for us and a glut of injuries are mounting up at the wrong time. It's crucial that we don't lose the first goal against Ross County as they will probably resort to backs to the wall.
We need a fast start and the first goal.

I fear we are going to 'St Mirren' it again this season. What appeared to be a straightforward run-in to a top six place is in serious jeopardy because we've bottled it against shit opposition. All so familiar.
Very frustrating but not unexpected.

Against my better judgement, I decided to weigh into a St Mirren victory tonight, usually the kiss of death for us ........... and to compound this foolhardiness I screwed up my bet, accidentally betting us us to win without conceding a goal.
Please accept my apologies (in advance) for jinxing our chances tonight.

This is a big game for us, in fact the success (or otherwise) of our season will be decided in our next three games. Motherwell, Ross County and St Johnstone, all beatable, and 9 points from these fixtures would have us on Easy Street for the rest of the season.

Sadly, Duncan passed away a few years ago 😢
Sad to learn that, the wee chap was a real diehard. Thanks for the update.
I'm sure I saw him wearing a kilt at a game. He looked as if he'd snuck away from a wedding to watch the Saints.

I actually think our throw-ins are better than they were. Strain's corners have been howling though, easy meat for opposition keepers.

Wee Duncan on the left with his teddy bear
Is the wee guy still with us, John ? I can't remember seeing him at a game for years ?

Jim Gardner.
What was the question again ?

Even with our (probably) injury-depleted squad we ought to be good enough to win this one. My principal concern would be the weather - the Hibs game last weekend was a reminder that form can be trumped by the elements with the howling wind clearly affecting our game plan.

Great goalkeeper for St Mirren. A twist of Fate that he played against us in the 1987 Cup Final.

We shall see how it pans out but if 16th placed Lincoln City are really the best offer on the table for the lad then I suppose he has to take it
A League One club is probably Ethan's best opportunity to establish himself as a regular starter down south, rather than festering in the stiffs at a bigger club. If he can do well at that level then maybe better opportunities may open up for him later (and for us too ££££, depending on the add-ons clause).
