Great day out.apart from one cloudburst st 3.30 weather was fine. Nice day . few pints burger. Good music.

I have watched st mirren for over 50 years. I have never seen Gordon Scott and have no idea who he is.know he was a director once but I have never seen or heard him contribute to anything. Maybe my fault I read and listen to the wrong things

Check midweek attendance's.would suggest majority do not want midweek football at all

Biggest problem seems to be how many people even know about this Meeting on Thursday?. Very little coverage in press. I signed up early doors but know many who know nothing about it. All eggs seem to be in 1 basket re a Meeting that has been barely publicised.

Was at Hampden today. Great to see lots of young children in QP tops. Lots of women with children keeping them away from old firm. Not a bad game and not a single mention of battles 300 years ago.good day out.

Watched second half of Ayr / Stranraer . Whichever of them comes up will go straight back down unless they change almost their whole teams. Never seen a fatter goalie that the Stranraer one though he actually played quite well.

Alan Muir shows what an ass of a ref he is again

2 goals in 91 matches in career

There was a part of Seedhill road near the tannery where the tarmac had disappeared entirely to reveal absolutely perfect cobbles from decades before. they built them right in the old days.

First goal actually started with Cooper shirking a tackle that was then played wide and crossed for Baird to flick backwards to an unmarked Falkirk player.Third goal was a blatant foul. Hippolyte should also have been off for a cynical foul having already been booked. He looks a reasonable player at times but he dives constantly and moans to the referee continually.

Second half on saturday Mallan started playing simpler passes and ran with the ball more. He looks a far better player when he does that rather than try the world Cup passes he sometimes does. to be fair to him I think he sometimes tries them because no-one moves off the ball.

i am normally more of a Test Match man but must admit this tournament was first rate. The standards of batting and , more especially, the fielding are incredible.IPL starts at the end of this week

Thought of having to turn up at 2.30 and sit watching the grass fior half an hour to get a good seat would not only stop me buying an ST it would probably stop me full stop.
Fact clubs did not use to have specific STs is neither here nor there When it was all terracing it did not matter what time you turned up you could push your way in if you were big enough or slippery enough..

Stuart, my point was I want to be able to walk in at the last minute and get a seat round about W3 a few rows from the back, where my ST is. Whilst you are correct that there are many empty seats they do not all have as good a view as I have now. I picked my seat as soon as the new ground opened and I have a really good view. As long as I stump up early for the entire season I want that seat. .Appreciate the points you make but I think there are a lot like me who like the status quo on Seating.

Thanks for that HSS. Enjoyed reading it. I must have caught the tail end of both the Ice Hockey and the Rink as it would be about 1968/69 i remember going there. My sister used to go skating a lot there too .They used to have concerts that she always wanted to go to but the headline axcts always seemed to pull out just before they wrre dus. Amen Corner etc

I remember many years ago going a few times to the old ice rink in East Lane to see the Ice Hockey. The team was called the Paisley Mohawks. Were they the reserves of the Pirates or are they two separate Teams?

Was I the only one who thought we should have had a penalty and them a Red card seconds before they equalised when Clarkson was brought down as he ambled in on goal? Highlight of the day for me was Crawford Allan pretending he had missed another decision by shielding his eyes from the sun when he had his back to it. He is worse than Collum.

Without seat reservation the number of STs will fall dramatically. There are about ten of us who all have STs and all turn up at 2.55 for each game. If I then had tio find a seat at the front or whereever , especially at bigger games, I would have no reason to buy a season Ticket. Yes we get a discounted price but you only have to miss a handful of games for this to be nullified. If the Club wany my money up front I want to know where I am going to sit.Nothing absurd about it. We help with their budgeting we get a guarenteed seat,i

It was the firat item on Clyde 2 News this morning. By christ we will be sick of hearing about it by the time they play it. Almost immpossible to ignore as it will be on every News programme as well as the Sports ones. Can almost guarentee it will be a crap game as it normally is.

Am always surprised with the boy Shankland who will go to any lengths not to head the ball. No matter how it is played up to him he will not head it leading to the strange sight of him trying to chest down balls that are over his head.
Two centre halfs were all over the placwe on Saturday . Not sure why as they have been quite steady recently. Played very high and two goals came from clearances which went over them and the wee Rangers boy ran on to them totally unchallenged. Thought the goalkeeper should have saved the third one.
Watson was good, Agnew , for all the haters, I thought did very well and put a couple of very good passes through to Shankland that , on another day, he might have scored from.
One main problem is the boy Irvine. He is like a headless chicken and throws himself into tackles he has no chance of winning. His distribution is poor too. We will need to keep up our improved home form to ensure we stay out of trouble.

I do not think we will either. Just thought it was worth a word of caution. Normally a few backwards steps during a recovery.
Think rae has them much better organised but , as others have said, where are the goals
-
Think you are all getting a bit ahead of yourselves. If we lose our next two, quite possible, we could be 1 point above 2nd bottom on saturday night depending on scores with Livi & Dumbarton. Both have winnable fixtures tonight and play each other on Sat.

The main reason I buy a season Ticket is not because it is cheaper but is because I know where I will be sitting whatever time I turn up at. Take that away I would stop buying a ST and just pay at the gate. If I miss a few games i save money but the Club loses out. know a few ST holders who would not renew if not guarenteed their seat.Neither do I wish to be made to sit in the main stand.
open behind the goals for away supporters and there are plenty of seats for whoever wishes to sit together
