Stuart - if you could stop being a simpleton and actually read the actual article properly is clear to see that the police representatives praised the SNP for their committment to policing but felt the extra 1000 bobbies committment was a bit outdated. They asked for a compromise, Sturgeon and her ministers reaffirm their committment to front line policing but allow said Police Scotland to go below the 17000 figure to allow the required flexibility in staffing numbers.
