  1. Their is no way he should ever be allowed back too play for St.Mirren, not only is he not a good player but also is disrespectful to St.Mirren fans. At his last game playing for us at Aberdeen young Thomas Reilly, who was on the bench, got a from text from one of the travelling support asking him to ask Hasselbank if he could hand over his shirt at the end of the game to one of the wheelchair users, whilst other members of the St.Mirren team threw their shirts into the small band of fans, Hasselbank came over to the crowd, pulled his shorts down a little to show his arse and shouted "kiss that"

  2. It will depend on a number of factors, like who will the new manager be, what budget is available to purchase new players, who the BOD,s will be assuming Gilmour and co can get someone to buy the club etc etc....My guess would 3 seasons. 2 of which we will reach the play-off stages but are unsuccessful in getting promotion, by season 3 we will get automatic promotion, of course I would like promotion in one season, but it's pure guesswork. Still it will be a change to travel to other grounds and hopefully see us get back to winning ways and again hopefully play in front of bigger home crowds.

  3. It was an excellent day for me. I went on a bus run by Kennedys pub, all on the bus were in the main Rangers supporters, however on the day were Saints supporters. Not only was it a great achievement St.mirren winning the cup, but I also won the raffles held on the bus, a bottle of whisky, and another win on the football card.

My heart stopped when Dundee Utd scored a perfectably good goal and started beating rapidly when it was ruled offside. A bigger thrill followed when Ian Ferguson hit the winner for us in extra time.

Cannot wait for the next set of celebrations, be it winning the Scottish Championship, winning the Scottish Cup or Winning the league cup. We have already won the League cup in 2013 beating Celtic on the way now it will be Rangers turn to beat on the way to winning the Scottish Cup.

To all the doubters you can rest assured St.Mirren will be back to winning ways sometime in the future.

  4. It really does not matter who gets the managers job, as long as they are successful in getting St.Mirren back to the Scottish premier league however if the St.Mirren BOD,s want the support back on side they would be well advised to stay clear of appointing GT, TC or DL. Like Div my guess is Billy Stark and whilst he may not be everybody's choice as manager, myself included, he will get the backing of St.Mirren supporters.

  5. Aspiration Holdings Inc had been in advanced discussions to take over the majority shareholding of the Paisley club and install David Thompson, the former Liverpool midfielder, as their manager. As part of their proposals, the group also wanted to build a hotel next to St Mirren Park, and use part of the surrounding site for long-stay parking for passengers flying from neighbouring Glasgow Airport. The deal eventually collapsed in January due to "the complete lack of communication and contact" between the St Mirren board and the interested party.

What is it with the current BOD,s at St.Mirren, if they genuinely want to sell the club as they proclaim, then why the hell do they come across as incapable of communicating with anyone and here was me thinking it was solely the fans they failed to communicate with.

  6. Fully deserved and the BOD are completely to blame for this. Two terrible managerial appointments and allowing Kenny Mclean to go, they should have insisted on keeping him till the end of the season. They must sack Teale ASAP and allow a new manager to settle in and decide who he wants to keep and bring in. Of course with their track record it wouldn't surprise me if they wait till late July and then decide that a new manager would be a good idea giving him 2 weeks to get a team ready...seems to be their style in recent times.

In the main I agree with what you say however I do not think this hapless BOD,s led by a man that once saved the mighty and proud St.Mirren from oblvion and gladly accepted the adoration that went with it, will get rid of Gary Teale, this would be a step too far and in a way an admission he got it wrong in his choice of managers, especially TC and GT.

  7. To be St Mirren Manager?

    Aye.

Perhaps I'm just clutching at straws but I would not be against him as manager. I also think it unlikely as the current BOD,s have no money, mainly due to having to pay off dud managers we have had like TC and no doubt GT if they eventually come to their senses and get rid of him, still the parachute payment they receive for us going down a division should help.

  8. you are just being silly now expecting the St.Mirren BOD,s to make any sort of announcement, because that would mean communicating with the support, something that is alien to them, albeit they might make an exception when it comes to announcing anything that involves charging the fans money.

  9. "Personally I'd prefer to wait and see what board, manager, players and opponents we'll be facing and then seeing how the first 15 to 20 matches go before making a judgement".

why wait, that's what got us into serious trouble this season. We waited whilst TC destroyed the team before dismissing him, we then took the cheap option again and gave the managers role to a complete inexperienced person in Gary Teale, who has turned out to be a disaster, although he is not entirely to blame, after all he had a useless bunch of BOD,s behind him headed by Gilmour

  10. It will be interesting to see what team turns out for St.Mirren over the next few weeks albeit I would retain Ridgers, not only for the our last few games in the Scottish Premiership but also in the championship.

In order to retain my confidence for St.Mirren to come back to the premiership hopefully we will have a new BOD,s and a new manager for the start of the 2015/16 season however I cannot see either happening, so like many a St.mirren supporter I,ll just have to hope and pray we manage to come back up.

  11. It's going to be very difficult having a POTY award or indeed a young POTY.

Although I would personally go for no POTY award if any are to be given then may I humbly suggest that we ignore the

number of Red Cards shown to Jim Goodwin and award him the POTY and give the young POTY award to Stevie Mallan.

  12. As quoted by DougJamie, "it is expected that saints home crowd would be circa 2500" I think that figure will be higher

depending on league position, what opposition we are playing, what manager we have, what players we have and whether or not the current BOD,s are still in place. If we could have a new manager, which I very much doubt, then Terry Butcher would be my

    choice.

  13. Like a few on here I too will be renewing my season ticket, not because of the BOD,s the team, or any of the management but

because I am a St.Mirren supporter, always will be.

I am just as angry and sad, like many, the way the mighty and proud St.Mirren have been allowed, mainly by the BOD, too fall

from grace however I remain optimistic that we will be back in the premier league, if their is a complete change throughout

    St.Mirren
