  1. The most likely scenario is that the NewCo(rpse) will go to ground for a year.

If you mean under suspension or opting out altogether, then they will never come back IMO. How could a business that size survive for a year by standing still ?Impossible !

  2. I'm sure I read they would need 22 votes out of 29 if TRFC dropping to the 1st was put to the SFL members. No chance of being voted down one division if that's the case. The 3rd and 2nd division clubs will want their share of the financial cake , and the 1st division clubs know that they'll be in their division sooner or later anyway !

  3. They'll play at best a couple of games in Europe against clubs that nobody's heard of ! Money spinner ? Doubt it ! It'll probably cost them money !

Their wage bill is comparable with ours !

On what basis will they do better in the cups ? we put them out a cup last season ffs !laugh.png

Turkish team , costly journey , unheard of team ! No thanks ! Is this what Nigel's signing up for ? We'll have a bigger crowd v Morton !

  4. They'll be playing European football next season, they'll will offer bigger wages, are likely to finish above us in the table and they'll probably get further in the cups.

Why on earth would he choose us over St Johnstone?

  5. As someone who decided it's better to fight from the inside I am left astounded by the statement issued here. FFS it's not news its being going on for months! Are the bigwigs at 10000 hours so incompetent and lacking in any financial foresight that it took until the day they placed their bid to realise what impact a rangerless spl would have on future earnings???

Are they really that incompetent? Or is there something else we are not being trusted to know?

    Ye couldnae make it up!

That's what puzzles me too. Last week it was full steam ahead " sign up and the consortium will sell" with no reference to the ongoing RFC situation , then , suddenly , the whole deal depends on the fall-out after July4 . If I had known going into this that it's chances of success were up in the air until the RFC problem was addressed to our satisfaction , then I wouldn't have signed up !

  6. To repeat, again;

The potential problem is the sky revenue disappearing overnight, leaving us with a wage bill for this season that is budgeted on that money being there to pay for it.

IF that scenario came about, the club WOULD be in serious trouble.

This isn't scaremongering, it's not the result of bad management, its pure and simple common sense.

How likely it is to happen is anyone's guess but it remains possible, and for that reason it is prudent to sit and wait for the situation to become clearer.

Yet other similar clubs voting no to a newco and still investing in the playing side! Think we have a severe case of financial self preservation amongst the current BOD ! We seem to be the only prophets of doom in the SPL and I'm not liking it !

  7. What I don't get ! Our BOD and 10000 hours being ultra cautious as to the outcome of the RFC fiasco , yet a comparible club , like the Fakes , coming out publicly this morning and saying no to a newco yet they're close to making "several" new signings. It is fairly obvious that there will be no RFC in the SPL next season , so where does this situation leave us as a club , because if there's no more investment in the playing side we are in big trouble ?

  8. Listen I don't know how true it is but I have no reason not to believe my source. Can't say he's a signing that will get me excited though.

Miller was mentioned on here weeks ago as a possible target ! I believe there is some truth in the story that we're interested !

  9. SMISA have made some very valid points , some I agree with some I don't , but they have helped me make my mind up , I won't be signing up to the CIC. There are just too many things which don't add up IMO. REA , to me , just seems to be the wrong type of person to convince me and others that he is the real deal , one things for sure , he's not a football man !

  10. We're safe now , even if the CIC fails , as the new rule passed by the SFA today prevents dodgy folk taking on clubs without the recommendation of the previous owners. Would SG keep the club or tell the world that Massone is really a good guy? happy.png
