  1. Corkers shut for a week.

Corkers update is that it's open already , new floor , doors etc are done. Will close again on Monday next for one day for finishing touches. Which means my quiz is on tomorrow night at 9.30 , Gusophiles and Gus-haters alike , are most welcome ! :)

  2. He is supposed to be a bit of a Corcoran Mk2. Sometimes very good, but mostly a waste of time. Didn't Accies allow him to leave and then brought in Corcoran to replace him?

He's a far better player than Corcoran. Andy Millen played alongside Gilhaney for Clyde and will know if he's got it to step up a level but if we're looking for cheap options for the wide areas he could be a possibility. Anyway , if he plays against us tomorrow and does ok maybe we'll make a move for him !

  3. I see Mark Gilhaney has been released by Dundee and will play as a trialist against us tomorrow for Ayr. Still youngish , can play left and can score goals, although he's pretty small. Surely a better bet than the trialist we're playing at the moment? If he's not looking for much dough I would sign him for 12 months and see how he shapes up , he's not injury prone btw.

  4. 1.Michael Holding , best of the badass West Indian fast bowlers who would deliberately badly hurt unprotected batsmen if they tried to mess with him !

    2. Rod Laver , a "real" tennis champion , even with a wooden racket!

    3. Chelsea's Chopper Harris , sneaky assassin supreme !

    4. Graham Hill , Ignoramus of a man but the king when it was the drivers ability that won the race more than the capability of the car !

    5. Gerd Muller , The perfect goalscorer/poacher , low centre of gravity and an incredible 558 goals in his 628 senior appearances.

  5. What if aw the Punters fae Corkers flock tae the Station Bar ?

Corkers had lost quite a lot of it's weekend punters anyway, 'cos of a recently installed limiter switch, due to complaints from the flats above !

  6. I keep asking you and you never answer who's this great manager that would come to saints that you want in?

At the end of the day the players have got to stand up and be counted aswell as the manager. we're not out of the SPL yet. If we go down I dont think the board would sack Gus like it or lump it.

I keep telling you that it's the board that makes the decision on the next manager. I am entitled , however , to have an opinion on the abilities(or in this case , lack of them) of the current manager.

There will be major changes at boardroom level during the close season resulting in some upheaval at the club , no matter what division we're in , and a change of manager will be top of the agenda. :)

  7. W's statement does that sentiment appear?

i admire your faith in Gus, even if I think it is misplaced, however creating statements on behalf of others and then arguing with them is really clutching at straws.

Beat me to it Chris , it's a sad day when the webmaster creates stories in his own tiny mind in an effort to turn the tables on someone.

As you know Div , I've been harping on for the past 18 months about how big a diddy Gus is , and I will stand by that . It's there for all to see now , but I'll still be devastated if we go down , as any supporter of 40 years standing would !

  8. Maybe a fit Barron playing in his proper position will be better than an unfit Ross struggling with an injury?

Yeah , I see Robb's ready to come in according to the OS , which would allow Barron to move back across. No mention of Miranda , so stories about an injury setback must be true.

If Dargo and Hammy are finished for the season , and with Mehmet and Wyness going through the motions , we simply need a miracle . :(

  9. For once, I agree with Billy.

Jack Ross should never have been allowed to play for Scotland B - and neither should Cuthbert. We should be giving the SFA no co-operation whatsoever. International football should be banned altogether.

What do you mean "for once"?

You're just too feart to change your pro-Gus stance for fear of ridicule . Like Div , you are more fearful of losing face on here than you are of relegation !

  10. Suzy Qs is up for sale for £200k if anybuddie is interested.

Actually valued at over 500k , I believe that a former Chelsea player now living in Canada still has a stake in it . Administrators are trying to get rid of it at a knock down price , the interior had a £150k refit 2 years ago !
