So , Sportsreel , Sportscene , Scotsport ? What was the name of Stv's other version , also featuring Arthur , but not in the studio , it always came directly from the game they were covering and lasted half an hour max ?

It was "Match Report" usually on a Saturday night when they only had a half-hour slot !

Giving them every possible advantage, then...

I remember Gus called out ex ref Alan Freeland before we played Dundee United in a SC Match at Tannadice , he more or less said he was from that area and was a homer. Freeland gave us everything and we won. Maybe SR should try a wee bit of it in his pre-match , by saying we seem to be getting him regularly , and there were a few tight calls v Hearts. Just something that may make the wee wretch stop and think !

How much do we get of the fee? Anyone know? What was out sell on to Dross County?

Only evidence I can see is this, could be bollox of course, Daily Record.

We must have had some sort of sell on though.

I saw a breakdown of the amounts his previous clubs would receive based on a transfer fee of £10m. We were quoted as £100k approx , which is pretty poor I suppose , but we'll take it !

It's an old adage that great play can be stopped by ulterior motives but it's not always as simple as that.

That's why the top players are the top players, they outdo any attempts to stop them when it comes to the crunch.

Fouls can quite often lead to goals with the quality that England have on the field.

Yes but our players stood off him when he turned , if that was McGinn at the other end trying to turn onto his left he would have been blocked legally or otherwise !

What an awful goal to lose. Bel!Ingham walks away from a couple and passes  through to Kane he scores basically unchallengedf.

Bellingham is some player , but I'd like to think that if that was a game in the Euro finals , he would have been fouled before he turned to supply the pass !

In this case, once you're in, you're in!  The two entities became entwined as soon as SMISA gave up it's rights to buy Scott's shares and there was no protecting anyone from any adverse outcomes after that.  What we have had so far has been mildy unpalatable off the field and we should remember that the fortunes of the club on the park this last while are all down to players, professional coaches and support staff who operate independently of Kibble "assistance".

Hopefully this episode has Needham realising that Kibble need to pull their horns in and that he acts accordingly.  It is, at the very least, messy.

“We believe we’ve done all we can to keep Stephen. We’ve backed him in the transfer window as much as we possibly could and he works very well with Jim Gillespie and Keith Lasley on the football board.

Hi Chris , just highlighting this quote from JN from last week , it seems that Kibble and the playing side are very much linked, I've also read that SR credits Gillespie with being "switched on" to what's needed to bring success. Sure , Kibble can't overstep the mark within the BOD, and if they have , it can't happen again , but , as I said before , we don't want to shoot ourselves in the foot , like we have done historically , when things are looking up on the pitch. This needs put to bed , quietly, so we can move on with what really matters , and some of the snipers on the fringes of the club need to get over their self-importance and remember it's not all about them !

  7. One way or t'other this will bring this farce to an end. My guess is that Kibble will get their knuckles rapped for not following etiquette , but the fact that the club BOD have the final say on any use of club land will mean this wellness centre couldn't have gone ahead anyway , without the say so of Smisa and the club. No matter what , Kibble own a fair chunk of the shares and they aren't going away .

You have misconstrued what was actually stated last night with your evident dislike for AW

The facts are that 2 Kibble Employees/SMFC Directors have taken a legal case against AW. The said employees have cited SMISA in their legal case in some form or another. SMISA have now incurred legal costs in order to protect itself and its members. If the later had not occurred then it had feck all to do with SMFC or SMISA and was about the 3 individuals. So much so had SMISA not been mentioned then the whole issue could easily have been shut down and not discussed at all.

From the legal case and the SMISA pre meeting statement, someone has something to hide and has been less than honest from the beginning . Good luck to the three of them, they are all as bad as each other I hope they spend a fortune on legal fees trying to see who can pee the highest and who has the largest ego.

Partly because AW used his unsuccessful attempt to become part of the Smisa board to to criticise Kibble on the Smisa website  , his poor showing in the vote shows that most of the membership have no time for him . The longer this drags on , and the more the mud slinging goes on , then it's less likely AW will ever get his ban lifted , in my opinion of course !

    Thats not relevant.

What is relevant, and concerning, is two members of the St Mirren board taking legal action against the supporters organisation that owns the club.

Its a pity, this should have been able to work, unfortunately too many egos at play, together with it would appear weakness and lack of integrity from our reps on the SMFC board. Time to reconfigure the managemenr of the club without kibble involvement IMO.

The legal action is by Kibble against AW , but you know that anyway. AW's failed attempt to become a member of the SMISA board is a big factor here , with Kibble not happy at the wording of it , therefore part of their action is to prevent SMISA from removing it , which SMISA have no intention of doing anyway !
