  1. Not quite sure what point you're trying to make. So, I looked up your profile? Big deal. I've looked up dozens of profiles on here. I didn't say anything was wrong in your post. I said, very clearly, that I read it wrong.  I got involved initially because I thought you were being unfair to Basil (for once). That's the point of forums such as these - to get involved.

    That's not true, is it?

    You didn't misread my post.

You checked up on me then waded in based on an incorrect assumption from something you misread.

    Totally needless and avoidable.

It's entirely true. I read your post wrongly and commented on it based on my misinterpretation. I was wrong. I accept that. There's no need to accuse someone of lying. It would have been sufficient to say "you're wrong" or "I didn't do that". But you can't help yourself, can you?

    Not at all...

    Criticism is acceptable.

    Abuse is not.

Boo boy regularly abuses our players.

It's ok to say someone had a bad match without personally abusing them the way boo boy does regularly.

I'm not a fan of Basil and most of his ramblings, but I don't recall much in the way of 'abuse' against the players. I read more abuse by YOU against other forum members.

  4. I thought the first half against Hibs was the worst we have played this season, but that trumps it. 4 points from the last 15 is a poor return. We'll be struggling in the bottom half again if we don't sort that out quickly. Just as well we got a great start to the season.

Also, I thought the Ref gave us absolutely f*ck all today - not that it would have made much difference.

  5. It was a penalty, but my point is that it was soft, and some of our fans are so blinkered that, if it was given against us, would be saying no penalty, just as some of the Hibs fans are doing.

The other point is why THAT offence and none of the ones that go on at every dead ball situation? There would be 10 penalties a game if that standard is applied.

And, if it was as 'clear as day' as FTOF says, then how did the referee, 2 linesmen and the 4th official ALL miss it, as did the TV commentators?

    Nonsense.

    Clear as day.

Just as it was when Mandron did the same v Dundee and a penalty was awarded.

You might think so, but here's a few snippets from the Hibs fans.

Definitely shafted minor shirt pull then full on dive. Never a pen in a million years. Genuinely think they are trolling us at present.

Did McLean not initally award a free kick for Hibs? If so, why is the foul which caused that superseded by the Obita foul?

Would love to know why the VAR review for St Mirren’s penalty tonight focused on Obita’s foul and none of the other fouls happening in the box.  As it is, it feels like we’ve been shafted by VAR again with very selective use of it.

VAR, f**king typical and that was never a penalty.

Looking at the penalty decision that went against Hibs last night, there are a couple of obvious points to make.  First, Jordan Obita and Richard Taylor appear to be engaged in nothing more than the usual sort of wrestling seen at every single corner in every game of football ever played.

What makes you think our fans would be any different?

    Fortunate?

We were easily equal to them.

We gave them a goal from one of our best players this season yet showed great resistance to get a well-deserved equaliser late on.

A draw was the right result.

But you reckoned we were 'in control', so what does that say? We were never in control of that game in the first half. We played better in the second half, but were lucky to get the penalty, which was very soft, but you win some, you lose some.  Telling stat is that we only had the same number of shots on target as they did.

On a different topic the first game I can remember being at was when Saints beat Rangers 1-0 on a foggy day in 1968.  remember it like it was yesterday

That's the first game I have clear memories of, even though I know I was at plenty before that with my old man. We were in the Love Street end of the terracing, surrounded by **** foaming at the mouth.

  9. Another hard fought win and a great 3 points but, by God, we don't make it easy for ourselves. We hardly won a a second ball in the second half, and we gave them so much space down our right.  Their left sided players were allowed to run for f**king miles without a challenge. Even so, we're still up there!!!

And 3 goals chalked off?  3??? Mandron's was a thing of beauty. I couldn't follow the ref - he'd point one way and give the free kick the other.
