  1. There was a members bar at Love Street . It was never that busy I know as I was a member eventually it was taken away and given to the players and staff.

There was a members bar in the Caledonia stand pre-match. It was never busy ether.

I'm a season ticket holder also like a few other offshore workers who get to 10 games or less at home. I would love to go to the stadium for a beer pre-match. Being a member of the new bar does not make sense for me and lots of others even though we would love to go in for a pint.

This has been done to death already with BLAWA members putting forward good ideas.

However the fans council has cotton wool in the ears and welding glasses on.

Yes the council do good and all work is for a good cause , for whatever reason , reason does not prevail on the fan bar subject.

Bottom line what you have not tried you don't miss but I fully expect the rule of membership to change at this bar after its first year accounts are done.

The only way this bar will make money is keeping it open to the wider fans which 99.9% of all other clubs do for a reason.

The 2 bars at the ground likely failed because they were plenty of pubs closed to the old ground unlike now. I like yourself don't see how it will work unless the bar is open to all for a small payment for enrty. Maybe the club could used their wee 66K windfall from the council to get the work done whistling.gif

  2. This has been a very busy forum since its launch lately it has become extremely quiet with very few members coming on.

So what's the problems. Where have all the regulars gone.

1; Losing interest in the club because of poor football

    2, Posters putting you off

Or is it a combination of both ether way it is a shame this was a vibrant community. Through this forum I have met many fantastic fans who I would gladly spend time with.

Would hate to see this place wither away. What do you think the problem is.

If anything this should get a few passions going......Let the show begin.

No 2 for me. Plenty of decent posters on the site, but also too many keyboard idiots that post to much that gives the impression most of the posters are spotty face teenagers who cant get their leg over whistling.gif

  3. Was at the game. Still in the bloody car park Mallans strike was a cracker but St Mirren were hanging on with some desperate defending by the end. Hardly convincing

I was talking to some Buds in the Bankhouse at 5 past 6 who were just back from the game 1eye.gif and you cant get out the car park 28mins after the game is finish with only around 1200 fans there (sorry 1199 since you are a customer) lol.gif

  4. A friend who is a season ticket holder took a young lad to a game a few weeks ago. He went to the South Stand with the boy and although they would let the boy in they would not let my mate in although he had a season ticket as it was for the West Stand. He ended up paying again as he promised the boy's parents the 'parents and children non-swearing' stand.

So the chance of taking that young lad to another game are remote. A potential future supporter lost.

The Club/Police and their inflexible rules also contribute as do the stewards (they should just have let my mate through into the South Stand - it was not as if there were thousands trying to do this).

And while I am at it this nonsense of segregating the West Stand most weeks is a joke. Now catering and toilet facilities are halved meaning large queues for the Home support when the Away support can be only a handful of people. Nothing like making the matchday experience worse every season that goes by and that is off the park!

At the 1st home league game V Dumbarton, my mate who does not have a season ticket had to go into the north stand after being told at the ticket office the west stand was full. (They were plenty of empty seats around me in W1) So at half time I ask a gentleman with a saint jacket on if I could move to the south stand. He got a hold of a senior steward who then phoned the police office in the main stand to ask for permission. After a wee wait permission was granted so I was escorted out the back of the west stand around the corner to the south stand and got in through a exit door. Don't know why I could not just walk the 10 yards by the corner flag unsure.png The gentleman who I spoke to first said it is all to do with H&S so they need to know how many people are in each stand. Seem OTT to me but if I am ever asking for help again I would always ask a senior steward since I reckon they have more common sense.

  5. The 'Ahm naw gaun' crew did the right thing by staying away. Without the negative arseholes in the stands the players were better able to concentrate on their game and defeat what we were told were superior opponents.

Well I decided not to go since we have been rotten all season at home. I am also delighted we got a good win and also please for the fans that decided to go. Do I regret it ? No, since I watch a rugby game that was more exciting that any football game that I have seen this season. I don't boo the players or the team no matter what the result is, so if that makes you a better fan than me then good for you thumbup2.gif

  6. From the BBC website.....

St Mirren manager Ian Murray thinks it is unfair that his side must meet Livingston in the Petrofac Training Cup this weekend with Luke Conlan and Lawrence Shankland away on international duty. (Sun)

Setting aside we arent up against a team (livi) we cant beat. Murray thinks its unfair we have to play the game with Conlan away..?

    Ffs...

Looking as if he is getting his excuses in early. BTW, you are as bad as the BBC since it is not LIvvy we are playing wacko.png

  7. I like the players we've got, it's just the way the manager sets them up that's wrong and the fact he's not on the touch line motivating them.

Why is Spalding doing the job of the sprinklers.

Players need to accept more responsibility while on the pitch. If something is not working, try something different and used their own initiative instead of waiting for the manager to get off the phone wink.png
