Big, strong, hard tackling centre back as I recall. I also thought he was a decent player. Played for Scotland. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-transfer-news/declan-gallagher-wanted-st-mirren-27324417.amp
Very surprised we are even in the running for him ! Hope it’s true, did he not have a bit of a colourful past?

I remember going to Blackpool on the bus from the Gordon street depot.

I wish I could be as virtuous as Prince William, I mean look at him, spending an afternoon on the streets with the homeless, and a photographer and a PR team and his security team. Do people really believe this Guff? I bet he didn’t ask the guy if he wanted to come and live in one of the rooms of his big palace.

@elvis - where art thou?
Just think a year ago, all the naysayers were running the club, our club, down. This is a tremendous achievement! Long may it continue.
I have just noticed the website now provides a couple of options to help the club:
I will endeavour (but not pledge) to buy a ticket for a fellow Buddie each pay day. It's such a great scheme. It helps the club and it helps those experiencing hard times. My only hope is that the money will be used to help existing supporters - e.g. folk who have a history of purchasing tickets, but are now unemployed. I would feel resentful if it went to people who had never previously shown an interest in the Saints. Whilst attracting new support is obviously a good thing, there's always the possibility that those tickets will go to folk who have no affinity with Saint Mirren and no intention of actually supporting the club.
Be interesting to see the definition/ criteria of a “buddie “ I would be using the tried and ancient method of asking them to recite the famous Paisley poem......keich bum tolly fart. Only those able to recite the full poem would be worthy.

Wasn’t that one mate, the one we’re thinking of was if you drive up the hill on Well St to the traffic lights, there was a pub straight in front of you opposite side of the road, it’s probably been closed down for years.
The well meadow?

Aye but I was getting mixed up. I’m sure the pub I was thinking of was on the opposite side of the street from the Bar Point.
