  1. Aye.

    VERY serious question.

Apart from being offered DAFT money... why would any player be considering a club in Saints current parlous state?

Bottom of the league, no manager, no shut-outs, no forwards, no interested owners, no interested buyers... no glorious golden hopes of a turnaround on the horizon....

It'll be a hard sell for GT... :(

He's in a shite position and I sympathise...

For the opportunity to play for the best team in the world , mon the saints

  2. I've read the transcript. To what the girl said happened what Evans said happened And what judge said. In other evidence like CCTV. It's based on a technicality that she was in no fit state to agree to having sex. But. To be honest I can't remember once when anyone has. Verbally agreed to have sex with me

Does anyone. Actualy ask. Can I have sex with you

Really, wait till you have been married 15 years , it's more of a plead than a request ;)

  3. Charles Endell Esquire on STV Glasgow tonight, 1979 Glasgow patter was brilliant , ' that barlinie gies me the heebie geebies'

Remember the haddows advert, ' a half bottle of bells and four cans of tennants , and don't forget the change'

I,m sure he did an advert for matches?

  4. That's one way of putting it. Another, ofcourse, is to point out that yet again the SNP have attempting to use an electoral bribe, wasting much needed council cash on a policy that yet again ignores the needs of the people it's supposed to help. Just like the policy where they ensured that millionaires could get free prescriptions, where surgeons earning in excess of £100k per annum got free parking, and now where people already paying for their childs nursery places are going to get the cost covered by every one of us.

I for one do not want my surgeon going to the local shop to get change for his parking meter , while my appendix is bursting!

And why shouldn't millionaires get free prescriptions, I am sure they have paid plenty in tax and national insurance while earning there millions.

  5. Imagine you stumbled into a job you knew you just didn't have the skills for.

How long do you think you would keep doing the job if you had to present your work at the end of each week and you dreaded it every week as you knew it was apparent to your colleagues and clients that you weren't competent enough?

Would you brass it out for as long as you could ..... keep the money coming or would your dignity kick in and urge you to remove yourself out of the weekly humiliation?

It depends on the job, if it's something serious that could be dangerous to others i.e electrician , gas fitter, doctor , then you wouldn't last long, however if it's a post that you learn on the job then you could go on for years. Most people need time to learn there jobs and dont usually secure posts that they don't have the basic skills to accomplish.

  6. It's always the same when the Nationalists get shown up for the dafties they are. They complain to someone in authority and want everything banned. The act of party members of an authoritarian party who would have Scotland run as a dictatorship with concentration camps and re-education establishments for those who dared to criticise any of their policies.

It was the same down in Lewes earlier this week when the Natsi's supposidly complained bitterly that one of their community groups wanted to burn a politician as their effigy just weeks after some of their idiot supporters were filming themselves burning Union Flags.

Concentration camps, I thought that was where kids with ADHD went during the summer holidays .

  7. Major surgery needed to save the patient I,m afraid. How many shots on target did saints have today? I would usually be optimistic that we have a squad to just pull us out the fire, however I feel that this season we don't have the quality. I think the only way out of this mess would be a new manger ASAP and an injection of money for the transfer window, other wise it will be a painfull season with relagation a certainty.

  8. I knew when I typed my post that you'd waste your time with this drivel reply. Did you type it between flipping burgers? :1eye

Picking up on typos is the last resort of a fucking idiot.

    :thumbs2

I would have thought the last resort of a f**king idiot would be Magaluf or Malia ?

  9. He has a great pedigree as a left wing politician , in 2006 he was in charge of bringing in the welfare reforms that are currently being used to whip the poor and vulnerable , then was named in 2012 on a list of Westminster MPs who were claiming £20k a year expenses for accommodation in London while at the same time renting out property in the Capitol.

I also seem to remember him trying his hardest to whip up some kind sectarian backlash against the SNP prior to the 2007 election ?

And they wonder why labour supporters are moving in droves to join the SNP.

  10. I,m not sure if this has been posted before, if so please accept my apologises.

I just noticed on Saturday how many streets near the staduim have stmirren connections:

    (Hugh ) Murray street

    (Stevie) Clark street

    (Kenny) Mcdowall street

    (Paul) McGowan street

    (Tom) Brown street

    (Rikki) mcfarlane street

    Are there more?

  11. I see the SNP has today said they will put legislation in place to allow historic criminals off with the crimes further starving local authorities ability to properly fund service s like education

Historic criminals, I bet William Wallace will be top of the list :)

  12. I'm not claiming to be in the know at all, however this website has been an excellent source of information when it comes to Fergusons Shipyard and last month they wrote this article.

    http://forargyll.com/2014/08/why-has-scottish-government-let-fergusons-shipyard-go-down/

There should be questions to answer. Jimmy McGrigor appears to be the only man capable of posing those questions. Let's hope he does so and we get the kind of scrutiny over this as we - the Scottish Taxpayers - deserve.

Please find below the editorial policy of this website, in short it's the Argyle version of the Digger for local matters, pay particular attention to the term 'openly editorialised' which basically means you can insert personal opinion on objective statements. Now I don't know about you, but it seems like the last place you would look for factual information. Unless it suits your argument of course.

This is a statement of the current position in what, as an online service reacting to the relative immaturity, fluidity and flexibility of the medium, will be a constantly evolving policy.

    Content

In terms of the nature of our content, it is often openly ‘editorialised’ – that is our style and our conscious policy. It is the direction in which news services are developing, enabled by the impact of online digital media and by the direct communications this makes possible. From the outset, For Argyll has been a leading exponent of this development. Earlier this year we we were rated by Technorati as the 8,000th best site in the world using blogging technology.

  13. Just saw a young couple driving through Cardonald.

Their vehicle was ' proudly ' flying the Saltire and had a big 45 sticker adorning it.

    WHY FFS ?

    45 means ..

    LOST

    LOSERS

    HUMPED

    DUMPED

Need to try harder next time.

That's like me putting a 9 sticker on my car after the 2010 League Cup Final disaster.

    Fannies

    Not cool.

Nice analogy , Stmirren a small , poorly resourced team that punched above its weight and found its self in a final against a team with players being payed millions by a club that was run on a huge deficit that eventually went into administration , oh yes and they like to sing about the queen and wave union jacks.

Yes we did lose that day to 9 men, however , when you look at the resources our opponents had that day it becomes clear that we were mismatched, almost a David and Goliath scenario , however given that I live in hope rather than expectation, I did not stop BELIEVING that my small team might one day win the cup, and lo and behold 3 years later they did. If those fans had just stopped believing and never went to any saints games after the 9 man defeat would Stmirren have been able to compete and win the cup in 2013?

So the moral of the story is ...... You can't just expect people to stop believing in something just because you have a setback, if that was the case I would have stopped being a Stmirren fan years ago.

PS when are we starting the vote Si thread ;)

  14. Oh aye, absolutely and in every way conceivable. Not that Mrs T ever had that kind of appeal to me, but compared to Nicola Sturgeon............

Anyway here's a kind of comparison

First image - Margaret Thatcher's 20 year old Grand Daughter, Amanda. Daughter of Mark Thatcher.

A younger picture of Nicola Sturgeon who was clearly honing her man in drag act way back in her university days too.

Oh dear, I have suspected this for sometime now, but this makes it official , you have far to much spare time on your hands.
