Passed away today aged 98. Directed one of my favourite comedy films ‘The Jerk’ I still think the optigrab was a good idea.

I dunno how it works other than... I guess... you just have to post gazillions of times?
So you should be on it. Go look.
I don't think it's about likes etc. Just volume...
So size does matter 😂

She is my favourite human being in the World presently.
Used to be Danny Lennon. He is now second with Candace clearly first.

I see Shurly has developed a system where he doesn't have to rely on thinking. He simply copies and pastes ad nauseam right wing, offensive, and in some cases racist propaganda. Never requiring original thought. Just as well really as it would be a lonely one rattling around.
To be fair it is in the general nonsense section.

I must join.
Sounds like an echo chamber ? Not for me, but whatever floats your boat I suppose.

If we are moving towards "All people matter", then I guess we should quickly hurry along a few decades of proportional representation in business, jobs, in prison cells and policeman complacently kneeling on white necks for 9 minutes, despite whitey suggesting he can't breathe...
There is and has been institutional unfairness towards black people in the UK. FOR EVER.
It would have perhaps been more linguistically perfect for someone to coin a catchy phrase like... "Any unfairnesses in society are probably better seen as a bit unfortunate as most people in the UK don't actually notice the shite around them. They're alright, Jack"...
It won't work.
There's none so blind as those who will not see.

Retiring at 55?
Brrrrrr. Not for me.
ETA. My wife has just reminded me that we have two ISA portfolios which have been running for years and which we'll leave till retirement, and a couple of mortgage endowments which are due to payout this year despite the mortgage being paid off a while ago. Forgot all about those. 🤣
Maybe I'll be able to retire this year after all. I'm only 50 though so it's a bit early for wearing slippers and reading newspapers all day.
Throw in a trip to the pub and you might just persuade me. -
I think Gordon was using us to put himself in the shop window.

I am out of here. This is starting to feel like a meeting of the Bullingdon club 😂

it looks like Motherwell have been trying to take advantage of the crisis and it’s back fired. Good news for us however.
He made 142 appearances, some of those alongside midfielder Mark O'Hara, who has been tipped to join him at St Mirren after spending last term on loan at Fir Park from Peterborough.
"He'll be a welcome addition if he does come," Tait said. "He's a dedicated boy, a proper athlete, and he can play as well."

There used to be some amount of pubs in Paisley, in the North End you had the cottage arm’s, Bob Inn, Alamo , Caledonia bar, wee barrel, elbow room, the court bar, argyle, hole in the wall , ring of bells, and the airport club and Caledonia bowling club. And that’s just the north end !

The Stags head was where I learn to play pool (among other things) the Bob inn then changed to Stringfellows ?

They didn't take kindly when they got pumped, the long walk (none of us had a car in them days) down Murray Street was spent looking backwards, just in case.
I remember it having a bad reputation, it was on the go around the same time as the Bob inn.

Cockles & Stuart.
I'm aware Stuart wasn't everybody's cup of tea but he generated considerable debate.
They all did. That’s why I like the forum, it’s not an echo chamber (although you would hope we were all Stmirren fans)
