I remember one summer in the early 80s running around the Love street pitch, my older sister stayed in Mossvale and had a bin bag full of ginger bottles, me and a mate were taking them round to the shop at the corner of Albion street when we noticed a turnstile door lying open, so we jumped in and layed the bag down and had a wee runaround the pitch and a seat in the dugouts, when we got back some cnut had fecked off with the ginger bottles..😪...True story BTW.

I remember me and a school chum who lived in Caledonia street made a swing in the old north bank during the close season, he tied a rope around one of the steel support beams and stood on a Stanchion near the top and swung out over the terracing, just mid- swing the knot on the rope slipped and he fell directly onto a stanchion legs apart! Don’t think he got any Father’s Day cards. True story

    No.

EVERYONE is not trying to use this data.  It is NOT of the best quality, as I noted above with a couple of examples.

A large proportion of your so-called “world experts” are challenging it and consistently pointing out the stuff I’ve posted above.

it is their MULTIPLE critiques (of the data that you are blindly accepting) which has given me cautious optimism and lifted me above your Corporal Jones’-ish doom-laden blind panic.

i previously offered a link to some of them.

    https://swprs.org/a-swiss-doctor-on-covid-19/

at the end of that article, there are daily updates - all from highly qualified, practising “world-experts”, none of whom - as far as I am aware - has been debasing themselves by posting simplistic graphs based on dirty data, on an obscure Scottish  fitba forum.

But you wire in, oxter!  A PhD must qualify you for something.  :)

ETA I’d stay aff the bevvy if posting late on  Saturday night, if I were you...

I don’t really do social media apart from this forum and a few what’s app groups. I have been using the link you provided a few days ago Antrim and it has helped me stay grounded to some extent. Thanks for sharing 👍🏻

Interesting article that I reckon is worth a read...

    https://www.msn.com/en-gb/money/careersandeducation/if-you-don-t-care-what-happens-to-gig-workers-during-coronavirus-you-should-you-re-next/ar-BB11NFfp?ocid=msedgntp

I know at the moment we're focusing on how many are ill and to what extent but at some point maybe 12-18 months down the line the financial bill for Covid-19 will have to be met and then we'll face more attacks on our employment rights - I fear the worst.

Yes I fear the disease will be beaten but the patient will die due to the severity of the treatment. I can see the government raising  the state pension age to 70 within the next few years. Income tax and national insurance will probably need to rise also.

TBH I don;t agree with this part, unless thousands made the same trip to the same place.

A few individuals in their own car, having a walk with, or without, a dog poses NO risk IMO.

The usual place my wife takes the dog, a pond about a mile and a half from here is, officially, out of bounds.

She's slightly nervous about taking the dog there.

If she got stopped and there was any grief it would make a mockery of the whole situation, and that's what we don't need.

It does seem mad. I just cycled back from Tesco in Seedhill and passed Dominos pizza in Gauze street, couldn’t believe my eyes when I looked inside, at least 15 workers side by side making pizzas!!!

    Not really buying that.

There will be a massive drop in the requirement for fuel and we have considerable reserves.

The transport for fuel will be an essential business as will the refineries.

    Just my opinion.

Fair point well made. Could it be that maybe by reducing car use, we reduce the risk of accidents that require hospital visits?

Can someone explain how that guy is passing on the virus?

The virus is most easily passed on by prolonged contact with people in confined spaces

Exactly what the government is forcing us to do

And now we have the fascist police state doing this

I think it’s more to do with discouraging travel to places that you need a car to get there. Given that oil refineries will probably be next  service that will be adversely effected by the virus

If it is of interest you can follow the track of 1998 OR2 which if it speeds up and changes course then it would be an extinction level event. Extremely unlikely but still a small percentage of a chance. Last updated on the 25/03 as it currently stands.

In fact the more I think about it the more it makes sense, Prince Charles has the virus and now Boris. They both have to “self isolate’ so the general public should not worry if they don’t see them in the next few days, they are definitely not in a doomsday shelter where all the other elites will be gathering over the next week or so 😉

    More sad news...

McHargs the Bakers has pulled the shutters down.

Still got a couple of options to feed my face, so all is not lost.

    FAKE NEWS JUST IN

    Boris has the Virus.

cosmos in love street also closing.....nooooooo

  9. what if there is no COVID virus? What if governments around the world know something terrible is going to happen that they have to have total control of the population, so they engineered this whole episode to use as a drill for the real disaster that is coming? Are Aliens due to invade? or is it a meteor?
right that’s it no more Netflix for me.

    Rage ?

I am absolutely thrilled. Dancing for delight if they all went bust.

What the hell is wrong with you man? Will you be dancing with delight if people can’t afford taxis anymore?

it’s times like this we should be pulling together to help the club, real people, with real jobs work at the club and are at risk of losing there livelihood. Not to mention the countless pubs & catering outlets, grow up.
