  1. Billy Abercromby, Campbell Money, Billy Stark, Iain Munro, Frank McAvennie, Jackie Copeland, Cammy Murray are examples of a club legend. The successful cup winning teams are hailed as legends because of the feats but how many can be held in the same regard as Bryceland, Baker, Steve Clarke, Ally McLeod (who else scored 4 goals at Ibrox in a visiting team?), Frank McGarvey et al?

Can't list club legends without mentioning Fitzy, but otherwise I agree.

  2. from the bbc...."former notts county manager Ian Mcparland is on the shortlist to be st mirren manager along with dumbarton's ian murray, brechin city's ray mckinnon and former ross county boss derek adams but present incumbent gary teale is favourite to remain in charge"

bloody hell - pretty uninspiring. I don't think you should get someboby back but none of those names are better than Danny Lennon.

If it has to be one of them I'd go for Ian McParland. and I'm appalled that Gary Teale is favourite (sorry Shull).

  3. i don't think I can forgive the Well & County results, poor selections, poor tactics, and no heart. Also though he now wan'ts credit for bringing in the youth, most of his youth selections were forced on him with Cheesy, Genev & Godwin being unavailable simultaneously. If he was serious about going with youth ahead of next season and to blood them now the pressure is off then why are Tess,Dayton, & gow playing when they are definitely away next week.

I want somebody in that will radically change diets, training regimes and tactics and who will sign 2 or 3 senior players. I'd be just as happy if they came from the lower leagues of the continent even if i'd never heard of them.

  4. Murphy will be under pressure to stand in the first Scottish parliament by-election that comes up, if he loses (which seems quite likely) even he wouldn't have the brass neck to cling on, of course by the time the Hollyrood election comes round most Labour exMP's will be sniffing round trying to get nominations for Hollyrood seats but the mood of the nation seems to be that they'd lose that election heavily too.
