I think it's just part of evolution, casual racism has been acceptable as has homophobia and sexism, sadistic adults assaulting children with leather straps, all are no longer accepted in society, smacking will simply go the same way.

I apologise Ricky, I don't have a Flat Earth Society dictionary so I made do with the definitions of "fact" and "opinion" that were in the OED.

I'm sorry Ricky this is bollox, the customer had used the bakery previously and had thought nothing other than to continue to give them his custom, this is not my opinion nor my interpretation this is me using the judge's summation to call you out for making shit up. One last time - the customer wanted a cake not a court case, once it had happened both interest groups wanted to get their day in court as is their right. The customer didn't provoke anyone. That is now a fact and recognised by the court, if there is an anti-bullshitter pressure group wanting to fund me I'll see you in court too [emoji12]We disagree on the intent, not the outcome. I appreciate that you interpret this differently. That is your right. -
Your original post accused the customer of deliberately provoking the refusal. I was pointing out that you made that up and was not the case. This is confirmed in the judge's statement.Which is the point of my original post. But I'm not here to change anyone's mind. -
From what I can gather the customer's fees were paid by a lgbt pressure group and the baker's by a Christian pressure group so I guess they were just pushing to see where the boundary was in the hope of moving it a bit in the direction they wanted.I'm sorry but this was nothing to do with equality. How can people be this naive? -
Jesus Christ, I wish I'd checked the punctuation before I pressed send.

Can I just say to Ricky, oaky, and Callum that provocation was never on the agenda, the bakery won. Their appeal because they were his local bakery that had made several cakes for him before and would make cakes for him again, if asked therefor they could not be refusing to provide a service because of the customer's sexuality. They would have refused to make a cake with this message on it to a straight person. Please don't spin.

I thought we lacked any quality in the first half where hibs played right through our midfield, McGinn and Mcpherson were particularly poor, 2nd half was like a completely different team, McGinn, Mcpherson, Flynn & Edwards were all good, and Jamieson showed enough to suggest better things to come. Jackson showed enough to suggest he'll be an asset though I thought the motm award was a bit generous, I would have given that to Jack Baird, just a pity we didn't sneak the draw that our second half showing probably deserved, but a huge improvement on the pre-OK performances and maybe (hopefully) enough to stay up.

FFS, Flareybob get on here with more of your amazingly accurate speculation to get this thread back on topic.

Any one of the 3 league Cup winning goals were excellent, many many goals from the late 70's and early 80's, Becket's, Bone's and Mallan's goals of the season. I have a great memory of a brilliant Jim Blair solo goal against thistle but I was youngish and there's no recording so that one may have improved in my memory over the years

Really enjoyed the first one. -
Widely reported had his tracksuit on and at training ground on his first day, quote from OKYou know this how? -
Twice our highest league position for a generation and a national trophy, makes you wonder why DL Isn't our technical directorAye, and look where that got us. [emoji38] -
Chris Brookmyre, John Byrne, Douglas Henshall, David Currie, Dougie Vipond, & Sir Thommo of hawk would certainly be an entertaining rota for hospitality, especially the first two.

I agree, but if I didn't laugh I'd cry. I lurked on this forum for a bit, but I only joined to voice my opinion that wee anxious had to go, they eventually sacked him on my birthday, the best present I got. For him to come back in any capacity beyond cleaner is making me queesy, but I can't afford to run the club so what will be will be. Hopefully he's not allowed anywhere near the team and OK's smfc's revival continues.Although I liked with a smile I don't think it a laughing matter. -
To be fair, they weren't in the lower half of league 2 until wee anxious took charge.Because I believe this is a stitch up doesn't mean steam is coming from my ears. Any more than you disagreeing means you need beta blockers.
Q.P. are an amateur side plying there trade in the lower half of League 2. Saint Mirren are attempting to become an established Premier league club. Where's the similarities? -
I would prefer not to have Gus back at the club, but it's not my choice. I am happy with OKs appointment.

Slightly disappointed that he would settle for a league win, surely his ambition lies in Europe, FFS Tony, have a word

Irish, but he ended up dating the policewoman who had obviously had a sexuality transplant, instead of the woman he married in later books.Never saw it but I’m assuming Nesbit played Jack Parlabane which is a ridiculous notion. Did he put on a Scottish accent or did he play it as an Irishman? -
I saw that TV adaptation, I imagine if they were reunited Brookmyre would murder him, in the same way they murdered his bookTo be reunited with Chris Brookmyre (Quite Ugly One Morning) ?

Am I the only person who is worried that his shoogly peg hasn't hit the floor yet, surely we're not keeping him.

I think there is a difference between the two, the two you quoted tc and Im, there was no discernable shape or tactics that made you think that things could be turned around, many posters on here accepted that although J r's early results were poor there was a plan that could provide improvement, current performances suggest we have a tc or im rather than a Jr therfore an early sacking is the best option. I hope that there is some clause in the contract that says if we're bottom at Oct, Nov, or Dec we don't have to pay you off. But to suggest fans that wanted tc or Im sacked after, 4 games were in any way mistaken is plain wrong and I would suggest that fans currently calling for as's sacking will also be proved to be correct
-
But surely they were proved correct?People on here wanted them both sacked before they had 4 league games .... remember it well -
I'm sorry DougJamie, I'm not sure what you're saying here, are you suggesting the fans that wanted Murray and Craig sacked were just impatient?

How come I've never heard of him but the whole world knows the other cofounder? Was he the Andrew Ridgley of Microsoft?
