How did that work out for you?Just thinking, football being a funny old game and all that. What will the reaction be among people calling for the manager to be sacked after three league games should we pull away from Tynecastle with a point, or three..?
i mean obviously as the poor performances are completely down to the manager, the logic of some will dictate a draw or a win would be 'inspite' of the manager.... it will be a good laugh reading the hand wringing posts should we get something at Tynecastle. -
I'm getting nostalgic for the summer of beath, what we wouldn't give for a wardlaw now.

For you obviously, for me it's an adonisStop looking in the mirror, it's a scary image.

I can see the fear in the rearview mirror, resigned to championship footy next season.

Stubbs is that idiot, that idiot indeed. The original poster does have a point
However I am terrified by the fact that someone on our coaching team saw Cole Kpekewa and thought has was a footballer AND that he was good enough to employ as a footballer AND good enough to play in the first team playing squad AHEAD of Jack Baird. Also if you recall we have been lead to believe that Gary MacKenzie was told he WAS NOT good enough and yet Cole Kpekewa IS!
On Saturday Cole Kpekewa looked entirely like a bloke pulled of the street and asked to play, he is not a footballer and whoever scouted him and whoever signed him should not be employed in the football industry.
Cammy Smith is also a cracking player, only a complete idiot would drop him (also only an idiot would allow Cole Kpekewa to play as detailed above). -
I must have missed the other 10%, I thought he was the oracle. Are you trying to tell me Flareybob been pushing fake news. the last time i checked Flareybob's exclusives were running at 90% spot on. -
#teamtombola is right enough, all you can predict of a Stubbs team is it won't be the same as the last game, half the team will be out of their favoured position, and they'll be chasing a lost cause after about 20 minutes.

NoDoes anyone really think we're going to have a successful season in the Premier League playing 4-4-2 ?

That's how livi got rid of Miller without cost thy had a month long probation period in the contract, unfortunately I doubt we haveCorrect. In the real working world there is a probation period why not football ? -
Guys can come back for a bit so that after binning him for boring us to death the manager following him can get us to our highest league position since the early eighties and win us a national trophy
-
We slag livi and rightly so, there is something wrong there with that asst manager interviewing for the managers position and the Kenny Miller debacle but one thing they did right was to have a probation clause in the contract, Kenny Miller bombed out without cost, now they may be proved right or wrong to trigger the probation clause, but they had one. I'll bet our chairman and chief exec wish they'd included one in a 3 year contract, if they had Stubbs taxi would have the engine running in greenhill Rd now

Easy to say, but if the biscuit tin's opened surely you wouldn't trust Stubbs to spend it wiselyWe should be prepared and capable though. We have sold several players for decent fees, got the best part of a million for the sell on of John McGinn, more decent prize money for winning the Championship, sold out the family stand to the Old Firm (to fund more players) and got compensation for Jack being a bit of a sneaky bastard. Open the fekn biscuit tin. -
Hold tight to what? The main success last season was galvanising players and fans, creating an atmosphere, making our home a bit of a fortress, cleverly making sure if we went a go all behind the fans would rally and cheer the team on, this season we're holding tight to a omnishambles and the fans will turn when we go goal down because they know that Stubbs hasn't the ability to turn it round. Like others on here when JR was failing there was something inside that thought he could still turn it round, I have no such feelings now.The step up to the Premiership was always going to be tough, even without a change of manager. The board chose AS as the best candidate. Have they made a mistake? Possibly, but IMO it's too early to tell. The League looks even more likely to split into two mini leagues of 6 than in recent seasons. I worry when I hear supporters suggesting that players are actively showing disrespect to the manager. This never ends well under a weak board. This is a test of nerve for the board, management, players and supporters. It's not a time to press the panic button. That might come, but is not yet here. We face two top teams in our next two games. Time to hold tight. -
Stubbs has demonstrated Tommy Craig's recruitment policy Alex Rae's media skills and Ian Murray's tactical nous, look forward to the championship next season

Best wishes for a quick recovery Speedy

I thought "great 3 pages of speculation since my break, we must be about to have a signing frenzy" but no, 3 pages of what makes a super fan. Yawn

You just know my team selections are better than Stubbs has managed, not that I'm a Stubbs hater [emoji12]Stick to team selections..................
TBF you're simplifying the matter.
There are people who scrape around to find a negative angle o Stubbs, have done since day one.
Different, and there are decent posts stating concerns, from constructive viewpoints. -
If you criticise anything you're a Stubbs hater, if you praise anything you're a happy clapper and if you make a reasoned argument then your post is too long and you've bored people, it's bloody hard to be a contributer to this forum.
-
You said Stubbs wasn't allowed that, when clearly he is allowed that as he's done it.

Yes stubbs has Jackson and rice
Ross would of had potter and fowler
People are moaning about Stubbs getting an extra coach
Is That hard for you to understand -
Stubbs has Jackson and rice, some people just....................
Not to mention jack was looking to bring in John potter as a coach to help him and James out but Stubbs isn’t allowed that .
Some people just talk utter shite without knowing any facts. -
OK, I'll bite, before you're told that this is what the matchday thread is for.
4-2-3-1
Samson
McGinn (P) Baird kpewaka coulson
Jones McGinn(S)
Willock Smith Magennis
Brock-Madsen -
We might change to 4-2-3-1 in which case its probably Mullen that gets dropped, Jones and mcginn as the 2.

Nobody on here knows how good TF is at his job, but obviously our businessman chairman is happy. Just because he tells the media we'll be in the champions league in 2 years doesn't mean he can't negotiate a contract, just means he knows his audience.

I never get the pleasure of the "600 grand windfall" since all your competitors get it too except one that gets several million, it's not a windfall it's a disadvantage, especially if its Alan Stubbs that decides who to spend it on
And the Reaction if..?

No pleasure at all, I can assure you, but no justification for sleepwalking back to the championship. The poor performances are the fault of the manager and to only way they'll stop is if he goes.
