This is the thread for the away game in Dec,let’s hope he’s nowhere near the away dugout
My bad. In my defence, given Elvis had talked about STs, I thought it had expanded to include both. Unless he's a secret bluenose.

And yet they celebrated their 150th... for the record i could never support either glasgow " giant" mainly because of the bile and hate they spit.. but powers that be say they never died and their penalty was demotion just like Juve.... denial is a very popular human trait...
.
The powers that be can mean anything. I have addressed the attitude of the SFA and EUFA. The first part is fantasy. The second part of your statement is something even those "powers that be" cannot deny is absolute fiction. It is documented in black and white that Sevco applied to JOIN the professional leagues and the attempt to shoehorn them in at an elevated level was thwarted by many honest clubs. In fact. The "real" rangers had to abstain in the vote so I don't know how any "powers that be" can square the circle of having one rangers needing to abstain in a vote to get the other "rangers" into the professional game while claiming there is only one rangers. The moral of this tale?
The lunatics definitely can take over an asylum and can easily convince many desperate orcs they were sane and sensible while continuing to take the same orcs cash, hand over fist.
The rest of us? We KNOW the truth. NO club was relegated in this instance. They were, in fact, promoted.

Don’t forget - beating the mighty Peterhead to win the prestigious Challenge Cup in 2016.
To be fair, they have won another few lower league titles as well.

You wish your Dad was alive so he could see Rangers die ? According to UEFA and the SFA they never died.... hardly worth hanging on for....
But according to logic, common sense they most certainly did. In fact. Not quite there yet as the original club is still being wound up.
140 years of Rangers liquidated ... after just 8 minutes of meeting | Glasgow Times
In December 2022, BDO and HMRC reached a settlement figure of £56 million.
To make abundantly clear.
This was from the original club/company. One and the same.
EUFA really don't give a feck and the SFA, apart from being serial liars, have a vested interest in pretending they are one and the same.
ONE top league title and counting.

BBC reporting that (the) rangers request Scottish FA clarity over Kemar Roofe's disallowed goal in Celtic defeat.
I think my previous post explains it fine.
Smoke screen to hide their inadequacies. Privileged pr**ks.
In all seriousness. The explanation has been given tenfold. Nothing will change the decision. Even if they don't agree.

Am I right that in every game ,apart from Motherwell ,minutes after Bolton comes on we lose a goal?
As was pointed out already. No.
But it isn't surprising that the timing is so close. We've moved our central defender forward and replaced him with a relatively new recruit. I'm sure things will settle.

Over the two games. Still a point less than we really deserved.

Champion's league.
Group E: Feyenoord, Atletico Madrid, Lazio, Celtic
Probably as good as they could expect.
And it's been reported they gain an extra £2 million plus because sevco didn't make it. That should stick in the throat of the blue orcs.

Easy win. Saints to take 3 points from Martindale and some coke (sniff). Yes I know it's childish but it's funny.
My guess? Two thirds right. Or. Perhaps that should be half right.

Hey if I'm wrong, I'm wrong - I just don't want the next Hibs manager to be Stephen Robinson. Lennon is always good entertainment - especially when things go wrong.
I'll leave the sharing to you!

Hibs are a mess just now and whoever goes in will need time to fix it (if they can). I hope the Stephen Robinson factors that in - especially since he has us in great shape in what could be a great season.
Hopefully they’ll go for Lennon and give us all a laugh
Seriously? I think Lennon would do a great job. Make sure you share this!

Whilst I agree with a lot of both your posts, they largely don’t reference the point I’m making. I thought we were talking about the sharing of gate receipts which in my opinion is a naive notion to say the least (does it actually happen anywhere?). I’m not convinced that Coke subsidises Tesco Cola or McDonalds subsidise the burger van at the bottom of St. Mirren Brae (possibly showing my age there).
If you want to talk about the equitable share of prize and TV money that’s another matter. I’d be right behind you. We had the very opportunity to sort that out in 2012 but thanks to Wiggy Milne seeing £££ in his eyes at the prospect of being the second biggest club, we (the league) f**ked that opportunity right up.
Oh and by the way, regarding the OF not existing any more……..
I'll get your last point out of the way. Why should anyone find it more tiresome to ensure the truth is always made clear when the lies are constantly spouted? I find it incredulous that anyone should continuously perpetuate the myth that rangers didn't become extinct.
To get onto your other points.
The analogy you make about coke and tesco etc is, IMHO, nonsense. They compete with product and price. In football there is NO competition without 2 teams o the park.
The reason I brought up the prize money is due to the shareout which is far more generous %wise to the lower league teams than it is in Scotland where, as far as the two @rsecheeks are concerned, is geared up to overwhelmingly benefit the top teams two which, as it stands, (and previously when the "real" rangers were alive), is almost invariably the @rsecheeks. I suspect if that were to change they would be the first to claim unfairness.

Agreed. This is only an issue for teams in Scotland because the old firm have bigger grounds and more fans.
Trying to be objective, why should they subsidise the rest of the league.
You can still draw comparisons to the EPL though. I’m not sure you hear too much moaning from Brentford or Bournemouth that Man Utd and Arsenal earn significantly more in gate revenue.
I know there’s more money generally in the English game but it’s still all relative.
I of course remember the old system, but in this modern age it’s hard to believe that gate sharing was ever a thing. There’s plenty things I strongly dislike about the old firm but wanting to keep their own money isn’t one of them.
Point 1. There is no such thing as the "Old firm". You can thank me later.
Point 2. We cannot compare the Scottish scene to England. They are on a different stratosphere though I do believe the profits from TV is shared to lower leagues at the expense of those Sky want to televise. This is akin to sharing profits made from their games. You have to remember that there are hardly any games televised from Ipox and porkheed. It's their away games that are televised meaning, due to this and their own fans behaviour at away grounds, it is more likely that people will watch from afar possibly affecting the smaller club's revenue. That's part of the reason for clubs basically giving up their home advantage to generate home revenue,
IF the @rsecheeks are being honest about trying to make our league competitive then even giving a percentage of each game receipts would go some way to redressing the balance. Let's say each club gives 10% of the gate after expenses, to the team who have come to allow them to actually play the game. For clubs of similar size it would amount to almost the same thing as keeping their home gates. I'm not pretending this is the right way to go about it but there must be some way to cover travel costs and paying away staff for actually being there.

New figures show the death rate of alcohol related cases is rising. It has been for most of the time since the introduction of MUP. This policy will NEVER stop those who really think they need their fix. All that will be happening is those who want to drink to excess will forego other things to do so which may well account for the increase in deaths. Even worse is those who depend on what little these people have may well suffer too. Education is a long process but it is the only way to reduce misuse.
I think the likely cause of the latest increase in deaths is partly the aftermath of covid restrictions which gave more people more free time in solitude causing them to drink heavier and the fact that those on low incomes forfeited nourishment in favour of inebriation.
The "do-gooders yet again want the majority to suffer financially in an attempt to pretend they're doing things to tackle something which, for most of us, is NOT a problem. We are going through one of the worst financial crises in many peoples lives and they want to further impoverish the normal working person. A one stop fix is impossible in this, as in many a situation.
At the same time, those with deeper pockets will not even notice the difference in price, even if they have a problem,. More punishing the less well off unfairly. It's beyond ridiculous.

This simply underscores the stupidity of Scottish football as a level-playing field and competitive sport.
once upon a time when gates were shared, and bodies/bawbees of every colour were welcomed through turnstiles) - everyone/every team benefited.
Now diddy clubs scrabble for whatever dregs spill off the top table’s bounteous banquet.
No one cares about opposition punters, the idea of away fans not even being present is being trialled by the bigot brothers…
The other day SomeBuddie on here posted - what I thought to be - a highly accurate comment about the league being a quite well-defined entity now as we knew the various club’s incomes and how that dictated where teams would settle in the league. Accept that new reality.
Enjoy the current Paisley purple patch till the injuries and suspensions kick in.
